There are brands and products that I've seen at other stores but somehow they are arranged in a way that showcase their "purchase-ability". They always seasonally decorate and I enjoy it more than other Christmas displays. The pink tree and sparkling adornments really spark imagination and fuel gift giving ideas. They sell clothes, beauty items, boutique toys, homeware, stationery, candles, jewelry and even desserts up front. As you would expect, everything is quite pricey. Similar to many other reviews, the staff are not the warmest or friendliest people. I've asked a question or two and did not get the most helpful of responses but have experienced open rudeness either. I do look forward to stopping by when I'm in the area and I do think it's a high quality store, albeit quite bougie.

I had been eying this Indian style cabinet displayed in the front window for months & finally stopped in to see what this charming shop had to offer. Don't get me wrong, there are some really cool ideas that from what I've seen on their facebook page, you can sign up for classes & make yourself. And there are some truly stunning antique pieces available for any collector. In fact, I really like the idea of this concept, however, not only did the slightly overpriced inventory get me but the overall store setup & true purpose. It's not really a furniture store in my eyes but more of a chalk paint store only. It was kind of a shame to see some actual solid oak & cherry wood antiques ruined by chalk paint. The prices for the workshops are average for this area, roughly $55.00 plus tax. This shop would be a good idea if you enjoyed things like "Painting with a Twists" or are exploring new hobbies (there's NOTHING fun to do in Mantua!)... sorry, just not what I'd call a true furniture shop.

I was very impressed by my first visit to Wayside Workshop. For me, stores specializing in Amish furniture usually fall into one of two categories: (1) affordable, but kitschy, country, and not stylish (think "Grandma's cabin"); or (2) high-end, extremely customizable, and VERY pricey (think "Amish Arhaus+"). Wayside Workshop is that rare gem that strikes the perfect balance between offering the quality and style of bespoke furniture dealers while still being approachable both in price and service. Every piece at Wayside reeks of quality (no particle board here!), and even the biggest pieces (like the awesome expanding dining room table I was digging) aren't eye-poppingly expensive. Finally, this review would be incomplete if I did not mention the space itself. Wayside Worship is located in a huge old barn(?) and is exceptionally beautiful inside. Shoppers can explore multiple (open) floors of furniture and home decor, all of which are tastefully decorated with a keen eye for detail. The space is welcoming and warm as soon as you enter, and I'm sure it's absolutely magical at Christmastime. I'm excited to make a second visit then (with my wife - pray for me).

I have some Woodard patio furniture that I purchased while residing in Florida. Last August, I…read moreneed a "foot" or "glide" for the chaise lounge, and went to this authorized Woodard dealer to order the glide. They were "unable" to determine a part number. So I personally went on-line to Woodard, and obtained the part number, and gave the part number to PD&H at the beginning of September. They said they'd order it. Beginning in late October, I called weekly and left messages, asking the status. Never a call back. The week of December 3, I called each day and got their VM, except Thursday when I got the warehouseman, Cory. No call backs. On Saturday, "Ed" (the guy I spoke with in August) answered, said he didn't think they'd ordered the part yet, and didn't know if he would order it at all. Woodard doesn't sell direct, or I'd get it from them. If you buy new furniture from these guys, and you ever need a simple replacement part like a "foot" or a "glide", don't count on getting it from them. They give new meaning to "service with a snarl".

Lots of metal and ipe outdoor furniture to choose from - chairs, tables, canopies, wood and gas-fed outdoor fireplaces and weather-resistant cushions. They don't stock teak anymore prefering the less-expensive ipe wood. Front of store is dedicated to indoor fireplaces and wood-burning stoves and their accessories (wood cribs, log bags, cast iron kettles, ash tubs, pokers, etc.) Not a dealer for Vermont Castings due to their proximity to the dealer in Mantua. Remember to support your local businesses!
