My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Petralunga. We did not have reservations, but we were able to be seated right away. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose inside since it was a bit too chilly for us outside. However, the sunset views are stunning and can be seen from inside as well. They have a few specials throughout the week that are definitely worth trying. Tonight's special was Pizza and Tequila. It started at 50% off between 5-6 P.M., then decreases by 10% every hour until 7 P.M., after which the discount is 30% until close. We arrived around 5:45 P.M., and we managed to place our order before the 6 PM cutoff. Santiago was our server, and he was very helpful. We ordered the Brusklyn with two lychee margaritas --one made with Siete Leguas Repo and the other with Ocho Repo. Their liquor selection is extensive, and we loved how the tequila options were laid out on the menu. While waiting for our pizza, we enjoyed bread with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixture. Shortly after, our pizza arrived--hot and fresh. We loved the thin crust and crunchiness. The Brusklyn was delicious, and our cocktails were very refreshing. To finish the night, we split the Tortino Al Cioccolato. It was rich and decadent, and the perfect size. We also appreciated the vanilla gelato paired with it, as it balanced out the richness of the cake perfectly. After that, we decided to try one more pizza, so we ordered the Spicy 4 Cheese. I was extremely excited to try this place as many people that I know have gone here and told me great things! I planned ahead chose what I wanted before I arrived. I checked the times-I was there one hour before closing. They close at 10:30. I arrived at 9:30. I have a part-time job in service industry and I never go to a place before closing, but one hour? It's pretty reasonable. Everyone was nice except the bartender did have that-Oh shit I have to serve you attitude. I was confused because I was there one hour before closing and I told her look. I'm an easy customer. I already know what I want. Bring the food out as soon as it's ready don't worry I'll be out of your hair. but I didn't expect my meal to arrive in five minutes. I didn't even take a sip of my drink. I received my food faster than you get at a fast food place. Which makes me think it's not fresh. I don't want to say that because this place has such wonderful reviews. But I literally was in and out of that restaurant within 15 minutes. I was looking forward to going there all day and I wanted to at least have 45 minutes to enjoy my meal. The food was good. I wouldn't call it spectacular but it was very good. But the experience is kind of why you go to a restaurant or else I would've easily said hey if you're closing tell me and I'll just take it to go, but no one said that. I had two bites of my pasta and a slice of my pizza packed it up to go if that was the case I would've just ordered it for delivery and sat in my hotel room. Again, I'm in service industry and I know the rules but this was not cool and I don't ever treat my guests this way when they're spending money and traveling. Perhaps I will return because it was good food (although the pasta had absolutely no salt content in it whatever because of course it was produced in like five minutes) and I guess I'll go at like 5 o'clock in the afternoon or something when the wait staff wants to serve you. I don't want to give this place a bad rep, but I really felt extremely shoved out. $65 for a small pizza and a dish of pasta-I'm not complaining about the price at all. Reservations highly recommended for this hidden Italian restaurant in North Bay village with view of the water. Parking can be a bit difficult since garage assigned parking is limited, so would recommend to consolidate your group to minimum vehicles or Uber there. Hostess was courteous and quick to greet us. Enjoyed very much the nostalgic artwork of the Ninja turtles in the restaurant and the neon catch phrases in the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was raining out while visit there but can imaging that outdoor seating with views of the water would be great to dine. Wow. Wow. Wow. I went to Petralunga with my mom and my wife and we had an absolute BLAST. We sat outside by the water and were completely blown away by Every. Single. Thing. The service was absolutely phenomenal, the space was adorable and had a bunch of Ninja Turtles everywhere (major points) and each turtle is one of the owners which is pretty cool. Vanessa was absolutely amazing and is such a great server. Definitely ask for her. The food was amazing. I was blown away. I would recommend EVERYTHING! Petralunga in North Bay Village is a nice Italian spot, we've been a couple of times and it never disappoints. Snag a table on the waterside terrace in the afternoon, it turns the whole meal into a mini vacation. Appetizers: the fritto di mare is a must perfectly crisp, not greasy, and packed with fresh seafood. The polpettine della nonna (little meatballs in red sauce) were solid but not mind-blowing. The pastas are the stars. The paccheri a la Petralunga comes in a creamy pink sauce with stracciatella melting on top. The linguine ai frutti di mare is the real deal with super fresh sea food tasting like it came straight from Italy. Both were flawless. The ultra-thin crust pizza is unique delicious. We got the 16-inch romana Fradiavolo, paper thin almost (like a fancy pita), insanely crunchy, topped with spicy calabresa sorpresata, and top-tier ingredients all around. Different from anything else in Miami and totally delicious. Drinks are good too. classic Aperol Spritz done right and the Margarita Spritz, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. Pro move: hit it during weekend happy hour when everything's half price and the quality doesn't dip at all. Finished with a simple affogato... vanilla gelato drowned in hot espresso. Excellent dining experience. From the moment I walked in, Malena and her trainee were both super friendly, professional and just lovely. My friend and I started our meal with Burrata with prosciutto, which tasted so fresh! On Monday they have discounts on pastas so I ordered their paccheri alla petralunga and it was delicious and generously portioned. They only thing I didn't like that much was the panna cotta. Panna cotta itself was good but the sauce was a little too sweet. Ambience of the restaurant is amazing. Right by the marina, very cozy and romantic at night. We had a rocky start - granted Resy didn't have any rules posted about Wednesday's Unlimited Lychee Martinis for Ladies. After the owner told us about the rules and then read it off the menu, we finally understood why he was initially rude to us. I respectfully disagree with most reviews of this place, as I felt that several aspects of Petralunga are inconsistent with the price point. We found the indoor space (which we considered initially since it was windy/chilly) underwhelming. Tables are positioned too close to each other, the rings of the frequent restaurant-incoming phone calls reverberate very loudly throughout the small space, and the overall feeling was one of a lower-tiered restaurant. We ultimately sat outside which provided a more pleasant experience but the dining portion of the evening wasn't impressive. First, bread was not served to the table automatically and, upon request, we received white partly toasted bread, which felt skimpy. The appetizers we ordered were good (zucchini, burrata and tuna tartar) but the mains fell flat: Margherita pizza, which was bland and served lukewarm and cacio e pepe, which was excessively creamy. The one dish that stood out positively was the hidden gem pizza. A couple of other quick points to note: (1) the pictures in this listing depict wide open water/boat views. That indeed is the case but only for select few tables, closest to the waterfront. For the rest, plants and pillars obfuscated nearly all water views; and (2) parking can be tricky. There's a designated lot adjacent to the restaurant but the "Petralunga" marked spots are very few. After a long search in the area, upon asking the staff, we were told that "gym" and "retail" designated spots in the lot can also be used. I wish we could've avoided that long and frustrating parking hunt. I'd be remiss to end this review without mentioning the promptness and kindness of the waiting staff. Servers could be more knowledgeable about what drinks they offer and what's in them. I went for tequila and pizza Tuesday. During time where 50% off. Prices are inflated a bit so there is some savings but not a huge amount. I had both my small margs for 35$ coat of one. Food wise place is on point. Meatballls delish and pizza was the show stopper so thin and crispy no flop even the ones topped with tons of pepperoni. Will def go back. My bf had meat sauce also and it was good. They give you yummy lollipops with your check and all in all a good experience. Watch for tip already applied at 18% of original bill before any discounts. I was looking for an amazing place to have a special romantic Valentine's Day dinner with my partner and I so happen to stumble upon this place while looking through Yelp. After making the reservation and showing up, they were able to seat us immediately at one of the tables outside near the water per our request/reservation. They had their original menu for the special occasion which was nice because most restaurants had a prefixed menu so it was great being able to pick our own Entrees. Food: they brought out some bread to munch on wow we waited for the Entrees to come out and let me tell you, their olive oil that they leave at the table is so good, it was delicious to have it with the bread. We ordered the brushky pizza which is essentially pepperoni with hot honey and their fettuccine Alfredo with black truffle. The pizza was sooo good! It was super crispy and very thin, probably one of the most thin pizzas Ive ever had but it had so much flavor and crunch to it. As for the fettuccine Alfredo, it was DELICIOUS. Me and my partner kept raving about how good it was, it was creamy and delightful and felt that the chef did a great job with it since the flavors worked really well together. On top of this, the service was great, everyone was very friendly and helped curate an amazing night for me and my partner. As for the reason my review is a 4/5 and not 5/5, we just went there this past weekend and the pasta was not as good as the time we had it on Valentine's Day. It was very disappointing since we were hoping that it would have been the same and consistent. We came here on New Year's Eve without a reservation. Not only did we get a prime seat outside with Marina view, the staff was outstanding. So friendly!! The service was excellent and beyond. We didn't order much as we didn't even plan on doing anything that night but we were walking distance from this restaurant and by surprise end up with a fancy real New Year's Eve experience thanks to the restaurant and crew. I found the most authentic Italian spot in Miami and best of all they have incredible specials. Like unlimited lychee martinis on Wednesdays. We came to try out their weekend lunch special where you can get 50% off their menu like their gorgeous burrata and prosciutto plate. We also tried their beef carpaccio the color alone was gorgeous. But as soon as you see a cheese wheel you know you've got to order it. It's prepared table side and it's perfectly al dente. Everyone and their mother told me I had to try their pizza and they were not wrong, those little pepperonis and that hot honey on an ultra thin crust. It doesn't get any more authentic than this. We also tried their NY strip served with ultra crispy homemade chips. Now when you see on the menu that you can get any pizza on focaccia, this is what they mean and you've got to try it. It's definitely different but the cheese in every slice makes you melt. They've got great pasta specials too like this spicy rigatoni but you cannot leave without getting the table side tiramisu. The preparation is impressive and it's an authentic Italian tiramisu like the ones they make in Italy. The food was okay, it was fresh tasting but obviously frozen shellfish. It was and hot and fast. Good portion size but not seasoned at all and served with the tiniest paper cup of marinara. The Paloma was disappointing-not strong enough nor flavorful. The price was right with the discount but I would have been unsatisfied paying full price for what I got. The birthday girl had the Pasta Cacio e Pepe I think that's what you call it lol. The Romano sauce on that pasta was very rich. The others had the gnocchi as well as the burrata and procuitto which we all shared for starters. The ambiance was perfect as you can see the great views of the intercoastal.
