I guess the Yelp gods did not like Petri's response so they removed it and Petri just had to come back respond again. Since they referenced how another business might be compensated for their services I'll bring up one myself. Imagine if you will that you hire a caterer for a party. They come over and while using your kitchen to prepare the food they destroy/break/ruin your oven and burn the kitchen down. The caterer says they might be willing to fix or replace your oven and kitchen but only if you pay for the food. What?!? I know what your thinking. That's crazy. And you'd be right. And that's what Petri wanted me to do. They'd still have my business if they did. I've learned how to care of my own lawn without all the crazy chemicals too. You still get one star review, but an A for effort for coming back and re-responding. read more

Please make sure you look at other bad reviews for Petri. After having lawn and shrubs meet their death, I get invoiced by Petri after giving them several opportunities to cure the issue. Hence they feel they should be paid for my dead lawn. In reality Petri sent in writing a guarantee they would deal with the problem of the grass dying and the weeds growing. I have it in writing they would solve the issue at no cost , yet when they got fired for failing twice they still want to be paid. Sooo many other spray services , go with them. I even offered to go to small claims court but they rather go to a collections agency. read more

Horrible Service, technician kept coming to my home for an ant problem and never seem to handle situation. Kept coming in and squeezing brown paste from a tube inside all my cabinets and countertops. Had black traps everywhere and sticky red traps on walls . Sprayed very little like he was rationed as to how much he could use . KEPT CALLING MY 5 YEAR OLD $ 140,000 MANUFACTURED HOME A TRAILER . I had my house tented. Although it was extremely fast service there where some issues. *My antenna which we had taken down was smashed. *My hose nozzle is now missing. *It has been over 2 months and they still haven't moved the lock box from my front door. I called to speak to the owner or Manager and they never called me. The sales rep did, only to state that they are not responsible for any damages and they will not pay for anything. They do not own their own tents, they subcontract out. They claim NO responsibility for anything. As a result we did not use them for another two other house's we have. Price was higher than other estimates. Its what you pay for fast, now I know why they are not booked like everyone else. read more

Petri pest control Mgmt needs to behave responsibly, take ownership for due diligence not conducted. I have said in my review, that Goodie his sales person never checked the screen that were pulled back sufficiently, it should have been his responsibility to check if indeed my screens were pulled back and he advised me accordingly, it would have been my responsibility. I expressed this to Brian the manager who did acknowledged that was their mistake. Additionally there was no supervision when the tent was put up, the supervisor showed up after the rent was put up so how can Brian say it's the home owners problem. if indeed the screen were not pulled back sufficiently as mentioned by Brian. Why wasn't I informed I would have gladly paid to reschedule the fumigation as it would have been my mistake, but No it's easy to destroy something that does not belong to you and then have the audacity to blame the home owner. read more

Jason is still wonderful. Don, however, continually disappoints. He doesn't return phone calls. I told him I really need to know in advance when they are coming so I can get home and be there. Yesterday, he called when someone was already on the way - at 12:30 in the afternoon while I was at work. I can't exactly accommodate that with no notice. It's frustrating, because had I been called in the morning with the advance notice I requested, I could have planned ahead to be there to let them in. Also, he decided to tell my landlord that my boyfriend was living there, because one afternoon when he stopped by, my boyfriend was there. It's not true. The bf has his own place. And when did it become appropriate for exterminators to report details of my personal life to other people? If I was paying, I'd be dropping the service. read more

I have been using Petri for many years. Since I started using them, I have had no problems with any pests. They use a pet friendly insecticide. Javier arrives and goes about his spraying without bothering the household. He leaves a tag on the door to let me know he was there. The company bills automatically and sends an emailed receipt. I like that it is a locally owned company and I get excellent service. I always recommend them to my friends. I have moved into a new house and will use them again. read more

Poor Customer Service. Dont Call Petri, they just waste your time. I had an appointment set for today between 12 and 1 oclock, the inspector was supposed to call my cell phone at least 30 minutes before arrive. The inspector failed to do so, when he arrived at my property I was my office just down the street, and again he did not call to tell me he arrived. I only knew he was at the door due to my motion censors. I rushed to get home, but he already left. When I called the company they stated he should of called, and the service rep "may have made a mistake and given the wrong phone number." Awful service, I took time off work to be here, and they can even double check their own work? This is clearly an awful way to start a business relationship. Avoid them at all costs! BEST PEST CONTROL COMPANY IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD!  I can only begin to tell you how happy I am with Petri's Pest Control.  Everyone I have dealt with is professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  Service visit scheduling is convenient and reliable.  I was not happy with my last pest control company so I searched the internet to find a new company and finally decided on Petri's .  Not only was their price fair but great customer service from my first phone call to the technician showing up for the initial visit.  The entire process impressed me on both how easy and how efficiently they handled me as a new customer.   It has been almost a year now, and except for one call back, my bug issues have been almost non-existent.  I like this company. read more

Worst ever. After 2 years and many conflicting problems( always different), I insisted their manager come to see my dying lawn. I would not pat them until he came to see. He did see how terrible is is. He showed up, no I'm sorry, just told me how expensive chemicals are (why is this my problem), and had the nerve to charge me to come look at my lawn they were killing!!!! Break my heart. It was such a pretty lawn, Pride in the neighborhood lawn and now it's dead....all thanks to PETRI and their expensive chemicals. read more

The worst scam of a company I have ever had to deal with. We used their services for 6 months and all seemed to be fine. And then, all of the sudden we started seeing ants everywhere. After sending 3 "experts" to our property, nobody could fix the problem which started when they began service. I cancelled them and hired one of their competitors who resolved the issue in one visit. Fast forward 8 months and I was just charged a fee from them randomly. When I called to see why I was charged even though I cancelled last November, their excuse was that it was never closed, no refund offered. I do not recommend. read more

We have have service with Petri for over 4 years. The service was good in the beginning. I recommended them to friends and family. However the last 2 years have been horrific, terrible and full Of excuses. Last year in 2018 my lawn in the front and the back of my house was horrible while being serviced by Petri. I called and complained and they sent someone out and they told me that it was so bad that it had to be resodded. They blamed my lawn company, my sprinklers anything you could imagine but themselves. I fired my lawn service thinking it was the lawn service. I had a sprinkler company come out and the sprinkler company told me that they didn't need to add more sprinklers but if I pushed it and wanted to throw away money for them to do install additional sprlinkers, they would. This was all because, Petri told me I needed additional water to the yard. They added 4 sprinklers to my front and backyard. I never wanted to resod again. It was expensive and my kids couldn't play in the yard for weeks because of the dead grass and weeds during the service of Petri even though, they guaranteed that they were going to take care of but never did. Fast forward about 7 months later now and we are having similar issues. We stopped paying Petri a few months ago because of the lack of service and the numerous request to speak with a manager with no response. I called and requested to speak with a supervisor with no returned phone call. I spoke with the person who came out to service my house asking him what happened to my lawn and to have a supervisor contact me and it never happened, months went by with no contact from any supervisor, this was from early 2019. At that point I stopped paying their bills as no one was returning my calls and my lawn was looking horrible again. I finally called and had the time and patience to wait to speak with a supervisor. I waited on hold for 20 min to speak with a supervisor. They told me that one would call me back soon. Three days later I finally got a call and asked for them to send someone out to my house because it's worse now then it was before. They told me the reason why they didnt call back was because I was asking for a person that no longer worked there named Critter (Chris). They sent a person out and he informed me that my lawn should have never gotten that bad. That Petri should have stepped in and have come more often, treated it differently, or informed me earlier and fix the issues we were having and that they didn't do that but it should have been done. I asked him what had to be done and he stated that we would have to resod again. I was upset, now we are going to have to spend over $800 again to spend on sod and installment. The supervisor that they sent apologized profusely telling me that it shouldn't have gotten that bad, that Petri should have done something earlier. He asked what they could do to make it better and I asked him to split the resodding with me. He said he would talk to to owner Chris Cavanaugh. When I called the company to get a follow up about my offer, they made more excuses. That now the water from the roof killed all the grass and caused the weeds and that there are certain weeds that they can't treat. This is something we were never told before. I spent a lot of money on the first resod and sprinkler additions even though it wasn't needed and I would have spent a few extra dollars to fix whatever excuses they are giving me now but the truth is, all they have was excuses. In addition to that, they are now threatening to send us to a collection agency because I refuse to pay the $80 I owe back from when I requested to speak with a supervisor in February of this year. I spoke with the owner Chris Cavanaugh and he also made excuses. I asked him if he would split the resod with me and he told me no. He told me if we used a chemical that killed your lawn we would credit or buy some sod but that a chemical didn't kill my lawn so they wouldn't assist with paying for the sod. I even called after that and said let's formally cancel the contract. I won't ask you to cover the sod and you will credit the account the $80 we owe and we will both go our separate ways and instead we get a letter threatening that they are going to send us to an agency. This is not the way to do business. They don't stand behind their work, their product and they give excuses. If you want problems and issues with your lawn and no guarantee and no call backs, go with this company. You will have to resod your lawn. I promise you. If you want a beautiful lawn and good customer service, go anywhere else. It's a shame that a company doesn't stand behind their work. Please don't use them. read more

I have a 120k sq ft warehouse and office building that Petri services monthly. They're priced competitively, but more important, they provide great service. Also important: their guys are well trained and background checked. On occasion, we've had to call them to deal pest issues outside our normal service schedule. The technician was quite thorough and experienced. He made several visits to my home and regularly called to check-in. Petri also services my bi-monthly pest control. Ok so I am a skeptical and paranoid New Yorker and was looking for a good company back in April to take care of all my bug needs- home(in and out), lawn treatments, fertilizer, whitefly, etc. We had been doing regular services but within the last year did not keep up and that's when we noticed a small bug problem inside the home. So we researched via yelp and ended up calling 4 different companies, got quotes and settled on Petri. They were not the most expensive nor the cheapest - in the middle but I felt the best about them based on research Nd meet and greats with the different company reps. As with all companies you have to take a leap of faith and I was concerned with some of the reviews I had read PLUS having to sign a one year contract with them scared me! I expressed this to Michael, the sales rep who came out to give me quotes on all the services and he completely understood and worked with me on this - great start! Also he didn't try to freak me out about my bug problem- didn't exaggerate and seemed knowledgeable-so I felt like I was in good hands . Michael and receptionists were/are very accommodating with our travel schedule and a week later Gabriel the bug supervisor came out to do the initial in and out pest control - great guy, great job-was extremely through inside and outside the home. Again very knowledgeable and helpful. He came out several times outside of my scheduled services until we felt the problem was under control and then they switched me over to Darryl - my regular guy. He does a great job too - always on time, polite, professional - does his thing in and out -thoroughly! Answers all my questions and lets me know when he's done- great experience! Lastly, I met my final tech, Chris - aka Goody!! He takes care of all my lawn stuff- lawn/ornamentals fertilizer and insecticide, palms fertilizer, all whitefly spraying- he's awesome! I call to schedule him through the office for a specific time range and the day of he lets me know when he is on his way. He is always on time, courteous ,professional, geniuinely cares and looks out for all my stuff. I really appreciate that he is so thoughtful and through. He treats my lawn like its his - love that! All these guys treat and service my home as if it was their's and I think that's the big difference between this company and all the others. So happy I founds these guys - I highly recommend them for all services as everything has been looking great on my end. And when it hasn't i just call the office or these techs directly and they will fit you in ASAP to come look at the problem and treat it to make it right - no hidden or extra fees because it's all part of the service you signed up for with Petri-to get you great looking lawn/landscape and keep you bug free in and out and they won't rest until you have just that! 6 months in and so far go good-Highly recommend! read more

My experience started back in December when I first noticed that I had a bed bug issue. A friend recommended Petri Pest Control. Kevin Creary came out to do an initial inspection and form a plan. I had a total of 5 treatments, one a week. Kevin and I were in contact several times a week through texts. He calmed me down and assured me that we would get rid of these bugs. He even texted me on New Year's Day to check on the activity. NEW YEAR'S DAY when he should have been celebrating with his family, he took the time to text me, a client, to see how things were going. WHO DOES THAT?? He has talked me off the ledge a few times when I wasn't sure I'd ever stop seeing bugs crawling up my walls. It takes time because those boogers can hide. That brings me to Alonzo Rogers, my technician. Alonzo was on time, every time, and called before arriving. He was professional, courteous, and very determined to find and rid me of this issue. I can't tell you how amazing these men have been. Kevin was/is in constant contact and Alonzo does an amazing job. I'm very happy with the treatment I have received and so glad a friend recommended them to me. I find it remarkable that a company whose service is dependent on the ability to enter customer homes, fails miserably in customer communication. Let me be clear, our pest problem (roof rats) seems to have been remedied, however at no time did Petri make this convenient. Petri technicians apparently come and go on THEIR schedules NOT yours. And if you think a pre arranged time window has any meaning...well you will assuredly be very disappointed. In my case EVERY time the tech left...he assured me he would be back (usually 2 days) at the same time (about 8:30 am), and EVERY time I had to call their office to inquire where the tech was and time he was to arrive..he never once called...thereby forcing me to stay at home to play the waiting game. Bottom line is this company in no way respects the customers time. The last visit (thank goodness) was most memorable b/c after I called them to ask about a time, I was informed that my account would be serviced by a different tech...who incidentally had NO knowledge of the tech of record previous appointments??? Had I not called...well it would have been a VERY long wait. Be advised...choose another alternative for your PC. read more

I would like to start by saying I had this company servicing 10 properties that I am the property manager for. They have done everything from not showing up, to being hours late, not scheduling appointments when I call and schedule them, calling incorrect phone numbers no matter how many times I asked them to change the number on my accounts, and NEVER calling 30minutes in advance. I have officially canceled all of my accounts with them and will never use them again! read more
