My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm rounding down.
Yesterday, I was heading westbound along highway 401 to Cambridge. The entire left lane had several vehicles involved in a crash just before Trafalgar.
Traffic was backed up just before this exit. I looked down and my car was getting low on gas. I decided to exit (don't ask me how I managed to get across three lanes!) while trying to find a gas station. I found this Petro-Canada and paid it a visit.
This Petro-Canada is located on the northwest corner of Steeles Avenue West and Trafalgar Road. There were a couple of customers at the pumps when I pulled in.
There wasn't any paper towel at my gas pump. The pump also didn't have a lever to have the gas pump do its fuelling thing and free your hand. Nope, I was gripping it the whole time.
I paid at the gas pump. My 407 ETR gas savings card worked fine, as did my Petro-Points card. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth.
This gas station has a Tim Hortons. It was doing swift business at the drive-thru. I went to check out the convenience store-Timmy combo and didn't see any customers getting anything inside.
There is a lone washroom. It is unavailable these days due to the pandemic, which can be construed as a bummer for those who need a rest stop.
Other than the deficiencies that I have pointed out, it is a decent gas station. Here's hoping that they at least replenish the paper towel situation. I can deal with pumping gas without the kickstand, but paper towel is important to have handy, especially during a pandemic.
