All I can say is damn I was really surprised at how much better rest stops are nowadays from what I remember as a kid! This one is climate controlled, clean, recently renovated, and felt safe. I mean we were there in the middle of the day, and I'm not sure I'd stop at any rest stop in the middle of the night, but this one was a good one. While I'm still more likely to stop at a gas station most times, if I need a stop and am near this one I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again.

My dog spilled his water bowl and I used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black from wiping the water of the floor. I will never stay in this particular Motel 6 again. Even if the hotel is older, they should do a better job of keeping things clean.

Put my things in room , went to first wedding activity. Came back that night. The tv took some finesse, the remote only worked up close. Went to bed. Slept great. Got up and went down for coffee. And picked up a little breakfast (served 6-10) Got ready to take a shower. This is where the trouble starts. Standing there naked , no water!! Can't get shower to give anything but drops. I get dressed and go downstairs. I asked the lady if there was a trick to the shower. Which she thought was funny. Then she looks at back of her counter and says. Oh are you in room 322. She said yes the shower is broken. I said ok what now. She said. "You can go to truck stop & take a shower " I was flabbergasted. I went back to my room and got ready without a shower. Left the hotel for some family time. Before coming back to hotel I took a shower at my cousins house so I could get ready for wedding that night. Go into hotel and up to my room. And my key now doesn't work. On elevator ride down I pull up yelp. And here are multiple reviews with my room number complaining about same thing. And now I'm pissed. I start to complain to desk girl who tells me it's her first day. (Poor thing) A manager comes out and I ask , if this room has had a problem why would you put someone in there who is staying for more then a night. She said I can move you to a nicer room , so you can shower. I told her I just showered and I didn't have time to move, so I can get ready. She insisted. So I moved room to what she called as a nicer room. What a joke. This room the carpet was wet and the bathtub was covered in black mold. I will include a picture.
