An enormous variety of goods ranging from souvenirs and neat gifts in the Gift Shop, all sorts of outdoor clothing - not just for in the garden but raincoats, casual gear for men and women and all the seasons, plants, turf, trees, fish, parrots, rabbits and more - and all your needs for your pets. Then organize day trips to a wide variety of places - and not to forget the REALLY good restaurant that does breakfast, lunch, afternoon teas (High Tea) and bargain dinners. Indeed today Mrs G and I had 2 two course dinners for 12 pounds ($16-17 for TWO!!). I had beef bourguignon, while Mrs G had a Quiche Lorraine with chips and peas/salad, and then I had apple pie with custard while she had lemon meringue pie. A member of staff refused to sell them to us as they apparently only allow people to buy a maximum of 4 fish at once. This is despite the fact that the Neon Tetra (a small, easy to keep fish) is a shoaling species that needs to be kept in groups of at least 6! Extremely poor customer service and further training of their staff is obviously needed.

To say this place has a comprehensive selection of products would be an understatement. The first half of the store is dominated by all things aquatic - plants, fish, food, aquarium tanks, outdoor ponds and large water tanks at the back, housing a wide variety of fish. As you move through the shop, there are hamster cages, pet food, bedding, books, magazines and of course animals to buy, like hamsters etc. It is such a large place, with such an impressive variety, if you can't get the item you need here, I would be surprised. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and on the whole the prices are competitive, apart from the niche products stocked in smaller quantities like hamster cages, that could double for 'Tracey Island' - they seem a little on the expensive side. Ample parking outside. They have all sorts of organic foods, holistic remedies, frozen raw food and healthy options for your dog. For instance teeth - I had been giving Ricky Martin the dental chews from the big chain pet stores in the US and UK every night. But what they pointed out to me (which I knew!) was that they were packed with carbs and so are they really helpful in the long run for your pets teeth (carbs - sugar - decay!) - answer likely not. The recommendation was a "treat" comprising dried fish skin in crunchy format. No carbs, and robust thin slivers of fish scales that are forced between the teeth and help remove plaque. Since Ricky refuses to eat food with fish in it I was very skeptical- but right there in the store he crunches that thing to oblivion. Bought and bag and every night he loves it! So he presumably gets some omega-3's too. Nice! The two lady owners (Lynn and Sarah) are the BEST! In terms of customer service and as dog sitters they are awesome.
