We have used Goldbrook kennels since Don and Sara took over in 2016. We found them by chance and…read morehave never looked back. Although not having been on holiday since summer 2022 (other than a 2 night period 2023) our two, now older dogs, knew where they were immediately and were very comfortable settling into "their" Goldbrook routine. Our 2 younger dogs and their first stays, easily followed suit. Our own morning routine is a brief run around our 2/3rds acre garden followed by breakfast and a return to their kennels before a combined heel walk. Don and Sara, by walking all the dogs individually every morning are replicating our dog's normal routine thus putting any concerned dogs at ease. The dogs themselves can thus individually build a relationship with Don and Sara and become quickly comfortable with their "new pack leaders" which significantly reduces the stress on them. For the rest of the day our pack have enjoyed time out in the run adjacent to their kennel block as they would in our garden at home. We picked up 4 very happy, individual needs, stress free and contented dogs. We cannot recommend Goldbrook Kennels highly enough for their totally dedicated approach to enriching the stay of the dogs in their care.

I've taken Barney before to be cleaned and trimmed and although he's never stayed in the kennels we have spent time there, looking around, having a chat. I have found the team to be friendly and excellent communicators both with humans and animals! They have been very generous in sharing their knowledge (Barney, as a rescue dog, has one or two 'issues') , handy hints and advice which worked and giving me back a beautifully groomed dog. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and now I'm going to phone and make another appointment.
