I had been bringing my cat to Vetcetera in Bedford since 2018 without any issues. Our cat received…read moreyearly check-ups, and I trusted the clinic. That trust completely eroded this year when I brought our new cat in and was told she needed dental surgery. I booked the surgery for the following month and later had to reschedule due to personal reasons. At no point was I informed that the original quote I received for the procedure would no longer be valid. On the day of the surgery, I was taken into a room where the procedure was explained. However, at no point was I told there was a price change. I was asked to sign some paperwork, and the staff member simply said, "Sign here." I assumed it was consent for the procedure. I take responsibility for not reading the papers, but it should have been clearly explained what the form was and that it included an updated cost. When I went to pick up my cat, I was charged a different amount than what I had been originally quoted. When I questioned it, the receptionist left and came back saying, "Your quote was actually higher than this, so you're paying less." I knew that wasn't correct. I found the original quote in my email on ,my phone and showed it to the receptionist, who then made excuses. First, she said I had signed the intake form and knew there was a price increase. Then, she claimed my original quote was old and then she blamed the price change on the fact there was new owners. I left the clinic feeling extremely upset and wrote an email once I got home explaining my concerns. The manager responded, offering a refund of the difference if I came back in. However, the manager's email included a forwarded message from the receptionist (I believe her name is Kelly), which once again shows she is very dismissive about my concerns. Seeing this forwarded message only added to my frustration. This receptionist was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer service skills. She gaslighted me, trying to make it seem like the price increase was somehow my fault. Worse, there was no apology from her for how I was treated. The manager apologized but I wouldn't be dealing with the manager when I come in, it would be the receptionist and she clearly thinks she did nothing wrong and that somehow she can be dismissive to customers concerns. So instead of an apology, when I mentioned to the receptionist that I wouldn't be coming back, she asked if I wanted to transfer my file to another clinic. Another thing to note, the clinic didn't even follow up with a courtesy call the next day to check on how my cat was doing after the surgery. That level of carelessness made it clear to me that this clinic is more focused on money than on genuinely caring for animals and their owners. I have moved my cats to another clinic where I hope to receive the respect and service that every pet owner deserves. Vetcetera needs to seriously reconsider how they train their staff, especially receptionists like Kelly. I will not spend another dollar at a business that has a receptionist who treats its customers this way. They just lost 3 patients, and to be honest I don't think they even care. I am sick and tired of the lack of customer service in businesses today.

Dave is the greatest - been with him from the start of his business. He's seen my dog through…read morepancreatitis, sprained tails and colic, to name a few. So I know you can count on him in a crisis. I have found him to be 100% reliable. Also caring and compassionate with dogs (and owners). Loves each dog, and knows each one's idiosyncrasies well, judging by how he talks about them. He's also careful that the dogs in his groups are a good mix, and trials dogs on a walk before he accepts them into his schedule. And the greatest thing, he takes them on amazing vigorous walks, lasting 2 hours at least. My dog loves him, and always comes home happy, hungry and Tired! I do not hesitate to recommend him, with no reservations.

She actually snarled at those people (so would've I). Then, we found Barb and Lloyd. Dogs can tell who loves them. Within 5 minutes she was totally at home, responding to their affection, and playing with the other dogs. It is a home-like atmosphere, they do have some kennels if that is what your dog is used to. I suspect my girl sleeps on the couch. I have no qualms about leaving her there for1-2 week holidays and don't worry one bit. They have a security system and lots of separate yards plus a long run. These people truly love dogs, and it shows. It's well worth the drive from Halifax.

I didn't spend any length of time in the pet/equestrian section, so I'm not sure how it stacks up to other similar stores. The whole building is quite new, however, which left a good impression. The Western wear area has a separate entrance and the associate I dealt with unlocked it for me and stayed around while I tried on a few pairs of boots. The selection is okay - I found that a lot of boots on display were marked "last pair" - but the quality of the products is high and the price is about consistent with what you'd find elsewhere. A good start if you're looking for boots or other Western-style clothing.

We have taken our Dog, Adobe to Hound Tales Inn on a few occasions now. They are just outside the…read morecity (about a 30 minute drive), they are easy to get to, they have a large property and plenty wooded areas for walks. Each time we get there, Adobe is happy to see Leslie (the business owner) who has a couple of dogs of her own. There are usually other dogs that stay over for extra companionship. The owners live onsite, so there is always supervision. The facility is brand new, very clean, a good size and well laid out. There are sections to ensure all the dogs will be comfortable, can have their own space and bed, and still be able to play together. They play area is very secure with a few shaded areas for the summer. Adobe is always exhausted when we take him home. Whether because we're going out of town, or just need a night off, Hound Tales is the perfect inn for your dog. They obviously love animals and care about ensuring each pet is happy during their stay. I definitely recommend them and will be taking adobe again. I hope they get a Facebook Page up soon as I'd love to see even more pics of the dogs playing.

Last time I was there, she was mentioning a 6th-visit-free incentive, which is great if you need to use a kennel often. The facility is very new and nicely designed to give all the dogs their own space while remaining social. Perfect for Molly's social mood swings. I don't even consider Leslie's place a kennel, it's more like Molly is staying with family. She stayed for New Years a couple years ago. We knew she'd enjoyed her stay when she came home and slept for a whole day.

I called Complete Care on the off chance that they might be cheaper. And boy, are they. This clinic is very affordable. The Dr.Larkin owns the practice and she is absolutely fabulous. She was very knowledgeable about the cancer and said it wouldn't be a problem at all to remove it. My dog was understandably nervous when she took blood, and all the while she was just smiling and in a good mood. The clinic's prices are very affordable. They also offer a mobile pet clinic for animals in need that are not able to get in to the clinic for whatever reason. All of the staff I met were extremely polite, friendly, and you can see that they really love their job. One of the gentlemen was even nice enough to put the new rabies tag on my dog's collar for me. They weren't bothered at all by my dog's shaking and whining. Overall a very refreshing experience. Complete Care Hospital For Pets is, in short, exactly what an animal hospital should be.
