Took my sheltie here to get just a bath and brush. Asked specifically not to grind nails. When he came out, I received a summary of what they did, and sure enough they did the nail grinding. Also, he was shedding sooo much like he hadn't been brushed at all. Finally, and WORST of all, someone there took a big chunk out of my poor dog's hair!!! It looks like someone took a razor to the side of him by accident or something. For context, shelties have long hair that is not meant to be cut at all except for trimming the paws. This likely wont grow back for YEARS. Avoid this place. read more

I recently adopted a cat whose previous owners did not keep up with grooming her long coat. She had terrible matting, and I knew I had to get her shaved. I wanted to make sure I took her somewhere reputable since the matting was so close to her skin. I was a bit nervous at first, kind of like a mom dropping her kid off at preschool for the first time. But the staff was incredibly friendly and reassured me that my little fur baby was in good hands.They did a great job on her cut, Jasmine looks so ~fierce~ and was in a great mood once we got home. She's more comfortable now and probably happy she can finally groom herself. read more

I went to PetSmart this morning. I parked in their parking lot, walked to the mail box at the corner (took me no longer than 5 mins) and walked right into PetSmart to look for dog boots. I did not find the right size so I left; I noticed my car was no longer in the PetSmart parking lot and that it had been towed. It cost me $218 to get my car out of the tow lot and cost me $16 for a taxi to get to the tow lot. I go to this PetSmart for ALL of my canine needs, from Blue Buffalo 30lb dog food bags to Greenies treats and more. Curt, the manager, was very rude and told me there's nothing to do, not even provide a simple coupon-- Not that it would have covered what was lost but it would have at least made me feel valued as a customer. Of course parking in the city is tricky, I've lived here for over 6 years, but this was a bit insane and unforgiving. read more

I am a huge fan of this store, I am in puppy training and when there was a glitch in the schedule the manager, Danielle, came to the rescue and was totally professional and caring. The training is wonderful, the staff always helpful, and I made this my go-to store for my pup and two kitties. I called a to try and get my dog into the groomers the next day. The person I spoke to allowed me to bring in my dog at 7am even though they didn't open until 8am due to my crazy work schedule. She said the manager knew about it and all I needed to do is ring the door bell and I would be able to pick him up after i get off work. I thought it was super nice of them to do that for me. The next day, when I dropped off my dog, no on there seemed to know about the situation. Not even the manager. Luckily, they still let me drop him off. My dog is very friendly and loves people, but when it comes to the groomers, he can get really nervous. I don't believe he will ever bite anyone intentionally, unless he felt unsafe. Later in the day, I received a call from the groomers telling me that they were unable to give him his haircut, which is what i initially brought him there for with a nail trimming. They said that all they were able to do was give him a bath and clean his ears.. In my mind, I'm thinking why a bath was given first before the bath? Doesn't it make more sense to give the bath after the haircut? The total package I was quoted was $47 for everything; Haircut, bath, nail trim and ear cleaning. I ended up paying $32 plus tip for just a bath and ear cleaning, something I could've done myself. I was really upset because I felt like i got ripped off and they didnt even try. Don't they have some sort of restraints for dogs that are more difficult to work with? Giving this place three stars because i know it was probably difficult, but the situation could've been handled better. read more

Great selection of product in store. I would not ever return for grooming. I've had my boxer bathed here once every few months for a couple of years now and after the past experience I am done. She doesn't have any separation anxiety - she wags her tail happily at doggie day care drop off, at the vet, and she barely notices most mornings when I leave for work. The past 3 times I have brought her here, she has been shaking like a leaf and pulling away from the staff. One staff member this weekend was SO nice about it and took the time to talk to her and gently lead her away. I returned 75 minutes later and asked if she was ready. A young girl checked and said she would be ready in another 30 minutes. I was completely anxious at this point and I said kindly, have they started grooming her? If not, I will take her. She RUDELY said "appointments are 2-3 hours". Well that's delightful but not what I asked you. I repeated, have they started grooming her? And without checking again she said yes, come back in 30 minutes. My next statement was going to be, give me my dog or I call the police, but I tried to stay calm and I went to the parking lot and sat in my car. I had a missed call on my phone 15 minutes later from the store, no voicemail was left. When I went back immediately the same girl - 15 minutes after this encounter - had the gall to ask which dog I was picking up. Never again. read more

Not even one star for my experience today. I have enjoyed this location many times since it was opened, the staff was very nice, the groomers were nice and did a good job. I have spent a small fortune in gates, beds, harnesses, toys, clothing (tiny dog with minimal fur), puppy pads, and grooming. Then, employee turnover happened. In the last 6 months or so, I have been less and less impressed. I had stopped in one evening last week and made simultaneous grooming appointments for two dogs. One is a pro at getting groomed, the other is seven pounds of high anxiety while grooming. Shakes like a leaf. I asked to be sure that they were both groomed together so that high anxiety would see his buddy having a good time. Went in at the appointment time and was told one dog has a 2:00 and the other a 3:00. At which point I remembered getting a phone call telling me that my dogs were going to have to come in at 2:00 instead of 12:30. It was a hectic day, I forgot to change it in my phone calendar. But I was not at all pleased to hear that the two dogs suddenly had different appointment times. I walked out of the grooming salon and asked for the store manager. I explained the issue to the manager-on-duty, who told me he would try to do something about it. He returned with a guy who had an unfriendly expression. Apparently unfriendly guy is a team leader, a higher power than manager-on-duty, and he asked me what the problem was, in a tone every bit as unfriendly as his expression. I asked him if it had not been explained to him by manager-on-duty. Yes, he said, but I want to hear your side. So now we had sides. I did not respond to that statement, instead asking about my appointment times. He then told me that the only time that my dogs could get groomed was 6 o'clock that night. I asked what happened to my 2 o'clock appointment, he repeated that the only time my dogs could be groomed was 6 o'clock at night. Leading the team in not giving a shit about the customer and making sure the customer knows it. I walked out of the store. This is the last day I will go into any Petsmart. read more

I am very upset with the grooming salon at this location. Please avoid at all costs. Yesterday, I took my mixed breed dog in to be groomed. She's been there once before and was fine. She can be a little aggressive and I told them they could muzzle her to groom her. The guy told me he was going to spend some time to get to know her before he attempted the haircut and that if she was too aggressive to groom, they would call me. I asked how long the process should take and was told 2-3 hours. Three hours went by and I had not heard back from them. I called and they said she would be ready in 5-10 minutes so I headed that way. When I got there, they told me they groomed her, she was fine blah blah blah. Then they said, "Oh wait.... Which dog is yours?" Then proceeded to tell me, "oh yea... We couldn't groom her." Excuse me? What have you been doing for 3 hours? They said they gave her a bath but if I wanted to wait another 5-10 minutes she would be dry. So in 3 hours you bathed her, did not cut her hair and she still wasn't dry? I did not pay for the bath that I could have given her at home in 10 minutes. They did nothing for her and I took home a wet dog. They said I could bring her back on Wednesday for a "premium shampoo and grooming" with another person, but honestly, I am too concerned to take her back there. I feel so bad that my girl was there for so long, sitting in a cage not being cared for when she could have been home. She is already terrified of the groomers, literally shakes when we go in there, so my heart breaks to think about those hours passing by. Very disappointed in the salon. If you couldn't groom her, you should have just called like you said you would and I would have been there to pick her up in an instant. Don't wait until I call asking if she is ready to go home. read more

I usually go to the Petsmart on the 5200 block of N Broadway - and they are across the board fabulous to deal with. VERY helpful. I just got back from the Kingsbury location where I went to get Whisker City (30 count XL) litter box liners. Whisker City is a Petsmart brand which the idiot cashier did not seem to understand. The ones I wanted were 16.99 online...and at the store they are 20.99. I asked the cashier if she would give me the online price from their website. She told me they would match the Petco prices. I told her that Petco does not sell Whisker City - I wanted a price match from their own Petsmart website. She asked me if I had a printout of the price. Really? I didn't think they would mark them up 25% for the pleasure of me driving over there to buy them. I said I could bring it up online and show her. She said fine. Well the internet connection was super slow - and she was the only cashier - and then a line starts forming. So forget it. I decided to pay the extra $4, and go home and post this instead. read more

This is a great store! Everything I need is always in stock and there's barely ever a wait to check out. They have awesome sales here that I never see at any other Petsmart locations. There's always staff around if I have questions and really the main reason I come here is for the training, we have done the beginner and intermediate dog training class with Natalie and we couldn't be happier! She is a great trainer and very professional. When I met Natalie in the beginner class she said that she could get my dog to do a down-stay with a ball squeaking in the background. My dog is obsessed with balls and I did not believe I'd ever see the day that he ignored them, but he just did it! Since this store isn't as busy our classes have never had more than 3-4 dogs in it. I highly recommend dog training here, even if this isn't the closest store to you, you won't regret it! read more

Arelys is the best dog trainer ever. I highly recommend her for dog training. She is awesome. Funny. And is a behaviorist as well.. she has help my aggressive dog overcome his fears and loves people and slowly accepting other dogs. .classes are very affordable and flexible. All positive reinforcement. .she helped our dog with tips in training our dog not to be barking when not home and walking on the leash nicely. She is truly amazing and shows she has experience in all dogs . all sizes and any type of behavior work.
