    I have never in my life met had to deal with someone so unprofessional as the store leader Kayla Shaw at this location. 06/18/2024, my dog received services for a groom. In the notes I put for this groom, I requested that the dog's tail not me cut. My mom dropped my dog off while I was on Facetime with her. I heard the groomer ask my mom about the tail and I heard my mom said "Please do not cut her tail." The groomer says okay, I see that here in the notes. Of course we get a dog with a cut tail. We decided to brush it off because we really have never had any problems with this PetSmart before. On 8/19/2024, we decided to go back for the same service and the same dog. We ordered the summer plus package which includes, a bandana, cookie, and coupon book. We are frequent customers of Petsmart, especially with the addition of a new puppy, so the coupon book was something I was looking forward too. My dad went to pick up the dog and she did not receive the coupon book. When I called Petsmart about 30 minutes after her groom to let them know she never received the book, she told me to come back and we will give her all that stuff she never got in the first place. I'm at work so I wasn't able to go and my dad had left 30 minutes ago and with traffic, returning back was just not an option. I did let the manager know this and that I lived an hour away. She said that she would mail the items. I waited for about a week and received nothing. So I reached out to PetSmart customer service to express my extreme frustration with the groomers just not following the notes and then to top it off not giving me services I paid for and also saying they were going to mail something and did not do it. After speaking with customer service, the extremely rude Kayla Shaw decided to email me back (in the picture) saying that she is sorry I did not get the items mailed to me on 08/21. As of November 10 (three months later), these items still have not made it to me. If she found the time to email and mail the items, why was a tracking number not provided? These items were never sent in the first place. Also, instead of just giving me the items I never received, she added a $10 certificate for my next groom. I told her that I was not interested in that and I just really wanted my items. I sent this message to customer service at Petsmart again. Kayla calls my phone and she left a voice message in the most sarcastic tone ever how she would loveeee to have a phone conversation with me since I'm sending emails, as if I would be afraid to speak on the phone to her. I called her back and at the end of the conversation, she then replies to come in for a full refund. I found it very interesting after I got on the phone not rude or anything, how her sarcastic tone of voice suddenly changed. I guess she was expecting me to be rude, but I am nothing like her and have no reason to be rude to people. We eventually got the refund about a month later and I was satisfied. If my services were never rendered, the only option is a refund. I got my refund and said I would never return to this location. I thought nightmare with this location was over. I go to book my dog for a bath here in Alexandria. Come to find out Kayla blocked my dog from being booked at every PetSmart location that exists. At this point I am FURIOUS. My dog has never done anything wrong. Petsmart Stafford dropped the ball. You all don't follow grooming notes and you have a spiteful store manager. Your solution is to block a customer from grooming at all Petsmart locations??? I was able to get the block off from Shelby and she said she would forward this information to Kayla. I'm imagining she is going to put the block on again because yes I did file yet another complaint, because I refuse to let Kayla be the bully she thinks she is.

    So I got my first snake here she's a absolute doll. That being said when i first got there they said she was more "aggressive" than the others. She had shed all over her eyes, was very very small for her kind. They lady wouldn't grab her and continued to poke her with a snake stick. Eventually I just reached into the cage because I could tell we weren't making progress. The ball python latched on to me pretty good, I didn't mind because she was afraid. After that I was pretty much sold on buying her, she's been a wonderful addition to my life. Never once has she attempted to bite or do anything to others. A genuine puppy dog of snakes, loves to curly up in a hoodie. She has a good home and a full belly. Best $50 I've spent! Just wished they did these babies better :/

    Nice location in Stafford marketplace that has a lot of area to walk your dog. The place itself is kind of simply lit and it's not that pleasing. Usually one cashier because it not that busy. My dog typically doesn't get groomed here, but he does get his medical issues taken care of through Banfield. He is well taken care of, never any problems and the assistants are quite helpful. They are pretty prompt about calling with updates and making sure there is clear communication between all parties.

    PetSmart fixed my baby's cut, after being butchered at LCK. Finally home after a long day of grooming!

    This review is for their grooming service. They not only did a wonderful grooming job with my Pomeranian-Yorkie mix, but they had the task of fixing a botched job. We first took my baby to Lord Charlton Kennels & Pet Spa to be groomed, and the groomer did absolutely terrible. We didn't even go home, we went straight to PetSmart to see if there was anything at all they could do. They were so incredibly nice, everyone shared their deep sympathies, (and some giggles) for the service we previously received at LCK. We didn't call ahead or anything, and they found a way to fit us right in! They assured us the terrible cut was fixable, and they were confident in what to do with her. She came in with a dried out coat and an unimaginable cut, and they miraculously fixed her! They told us that the cut was so uneven, they would have to cut her low, which we were okay with, and they said they would be gentle with her knowing being groomed back to back could be exhausting. We were very happy with the results! I believe our groomer was Rachel Fink, she did a great job!

    Ummm... went into here today and what's with the bunches of dead fish in the tanks? I mean I don't expect them to take amazing care but this is just gross

    This review is for the Grooming Salon. I brought my pet for grooming and nail grinding. I didn't like how my dog looked like after the grooming. And I thought nail grinding makes the rough edges smooth so it doesn't scratch furnitures or you, yet look at the attached pic and see what happened to my arms right after I picked him up at the salon. I have to bribe him with human food so I can file his nails which were trimmed and left as is - sharp and rough! I know they were busy that day but that doesn't mean they can lower the quality of their service. In that case, they could have lowered my bill too. What a waste of money!

    Grooming. Do NOT take your dog here to be groomed. Ever. We used to go to the Petsmart in Suffolk and never had a problem ever. I dropped off my dog at 11:30. Usually he takes about two to groom. When 3:30 rolled around and I hadn't heard from them I called to see if my dog was ready to be picked up. I could practically see this guy rolling his eyes over phone because I had called. His response was yeah, he is almost done you can come now. So I show up at 4 to pick up my dog. Another young lady brings him out to me because Tim (the groomer) had left for the day. My dogs back was completely jacked up. It was completely uneven and patchy! Nowhere in the conversation did the groomer ever say he had a problem with my dog or there was an issue with matting. He said nothing and gave no report card for him. 80 dollars plus tip for an absolutely terrible haircut. Do not ever take your dog there.

I've been here twice and both times I haven't been impressed what-so-ever. First off, shot records. I've brought there shot records three times. Once when I made the first appointment, then they asked if I could bring them when I brought my two pups in, then they asked when I picked them up cause they didn't input them in the system, then when I made another appointment the next month, they asked me to bring the shot records AGAIN! pricing.... I have two mini schnauzers in which I usually trim every 3-4 weeks. In hawaii, I was paying 45 dollars for a bath, degland, ear cleaning and grooming per pup. Here I was charged 60 dollars per dog! I have no problem paying it, if I was getting 60 dollars worth of customer service. There seems to always be a scheduling conflict in this place. I dropped my two mini schnauzers off at 11 am on the dot as requested and I was told three hours, which is even a little slower then my Hawaii groomer but I thought whatever. I was told they'd be ready at 300-330, which is 4 to 4.5 hours later. I stopped by at 330 and they then told me another hour and then I wasn't called until 5pm! 6 hours after I dropped them off! End result, if you have an entire day to waste and want to overpay for mediocre service at best, this is the best pet salon for you. However, I wouldn't recommend this pet salon to anyone. P.S. I am logged on yelp just to make this post.

    After posting my reviews, I received a phone call from one of the trainers apologizing for not…read moreresponding to my inquiry. She was very kind and explained a mix up regarding emails with the owner. No big deal; these things happen. I appreciated her apology. She did inform me that they do not train in the kind of scent work I am looking for, and she sadly doesn't know anyone near my location who does. My only suggestion would be for the owner, since they are the ones who receive the emails. It might be best to respond to the customer in an email and state something to the effect of, "Colonial K9 has received your request and we will be forwarding your message to the respective trainer. Please let us know if a trainer has not gotten in contact with you in the next 48/72 hours." This way the customer knows their email has been seen and read. Otherwise, the customer feels their request wasn't taken seriously. Additionally, a reminder message or task could be created within the Microsoft 360 platform and be sent to the trainers. Just some ideas to help the customers and trainer so a customer isn't lost due to mistakes. Thank you again for the apology. It is appreciated. I have bumped my review up from two stars to fours stars. **Original Review** ***I have not used their services***This is only a review based on communication, or lack thereof*** On 08MAY2024, I called Colonial K9 to inquire about dog training; specifically scent work. I have been looking for a solid trainer since moving here. It has not been easy finding a reputable trainer. During the phone call, I was told to send an email because emails go straight to the owner. The owner will review the email and either respond personally, or the owner will send the email to the respective trainer. I thanked the person who I spoke with and promptly sent an email detailing my dog training needs. By 15MAY2024, I still hadn't received a response from Colonial K9. As a result, I sent another email and stated; "I am following up from my attached email as I have not received a response. If you are unable to help us, it's understandable. I would appreciate it if you could give us a referral on a trainer who can help." As of today, 24MAY2024, I have yet to receive a response. I am not sure where the disconnect is. All I want to do is find a solid trainer to continue with scent work training. I guess Colonial K9 isn't interested in assisting. Copy that!
