It was incredibly how Mr. Knapp actually predicted what would happen in my son's case. I have found that the experience and honesty they had when dealing with me should be a prerequisite from EVERY attorney, but sorely lacking. Thanks again!

Where to begin... My…read morefriend called the Knapp Law Office in response to a voicemail he received. The message suggested he needed to call back as soon as possible or else they would not be able to help him with his case. I believe he may have gotten the message a bit late, but because his phone was acting up, he did give the office an alternative number which was never used to contact him. So, while on the phone he attempted to explain that he was leaving the country for good in a few days and wanted to know what his options were considering he may not be back for a long time. Rather than simply tell my friend what he could do, the woman began to *loudly state that he was at fault and she was tired of explaining herself (sitting nearby during the time, I heard this clearly). After hanging up on the incomprehensible yelling, my friend asked that I drive him to the office so that he could try once again to tie up his loose ends while in the country. When we entered, my friend went to the lady on the phone in front who he said was always very nice to him. I stayed near the front door until a *loud and rude voice asked if they could help me. My friend heard this, entered the side room with a smile and immediately apologized for the phone call but needed to get some answers. I continued to stand in the front near the window to this room where I had a clear view. This lady, who strangely, yet proudly, announced she was Mr. Knapp's wife, *loudly restated that she was tried of repeating herself before kind of staring at him in a frown. She went on a rant about how her foot was in a brace, she drives all the way from Fort Worth where she lives and that she works long hours because she cares so much for her clients who "don't even care about themselves". Such a professional way to conduct an informative meeting! She asked my friend why he couldn't understand what she said on the phone since she was so tired of repeating herself and he calmly told her that it was because of the yelling. At this point she screams "this is what yelling sounds like. I was not yelling" before going back to her standard *loud speaking voice. I'm in awe at how calm my friend was, shaking, but calm. She finally retells him what he needs to know by first saying that his English speaking is good, but she hopes he listens when he has to speak with the judges who "will really yell". She had paperwork she planned to mail him, but she said she could just give them to him as she slammed them on her desk. Then she took the top paper and *loudly told herself that she needed to make a copy first. So she made the copy and slammed it down again. Finally my friend comes out and I stand there just to make sure he got all the info he needs before we leave. The lady then yells at us through the window to "get off [her] property" and then suggested/threatened to "personally escort" us out seeing as we were "trespassing". As we left, she came racing out the door to yell that we were never to return or she would have us arrested for trespassing. The only thing bigger than this woman's voice is herself, so 300 pounds of ignorant gold-digger coming at you is rather intimidating, not that I would ever want to return. Now then, I am not even a client and this woman both yelled at me and threatened me in less than 30 seconds. I was actually nodding when she listed what my friend did wrong because, although upsettingly rude and *loud, she made valid points. So, in some messed up world, I was sympathizing with her because she may work hard for her clients and she may have health problems and she may have a terribly commute, and maybe it was just a really bad day for her. However, I have never witnessed such an unprofessional attitude or performance in real life. That said, I have never felt so personally attacked by a stranger like this in my entire life. Once we were out of the parking l asked my friend how he remained so unbelievably calm while someone screamed in his face and insulted him numerous times in a span of about 5 minutes and he quietly state "because I'm not American". He put up with this treatment because he doesn't want to cause trouble with people who are meant to help him get out of trouble. Working in an industry where I actually have to care about my clients, or I lose my job, I'm still in awe at what transpired. I rarely review anything unless I absolutely love it. Yet, I cannot be at peace with myself until I share my experience that I hope keeps others from going through such awful treatment here. I didn't even want to give this event a second more of my valuable time, but 10 minutes of my life is nothing if it can be a warning for others. * Read "loud" as you wish, but it really was needlessly forceful for such a "caring" human.
