I really wanted to like this place. But they did not replace the blade like I specifically asked. The repair guy made the call to leave the old blade. I feel ripped off for paying $108 for a cleaning and for the guy to un-bend some needles. Dammit. I hate this. read more

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I went in wanting to know about quilts and ask for help on how to get one made or learn how I could do it. The man there said "do you even know what goes into a quilt and how expensive it is" he said no one will make you one and that would cot thousands of dollars. I was just trying to learn about quilts. Worst experience ever. I bought a Pfaff machine from them last May within the first month I was in multiple times for the same issue. I was continuously told it was me, or the needle or the wrong thread. So I did everything they said and the same issue continued to occur.I tried to return the machine and was rudely told absolutely not. So here I am over a year later. My machine has been brought in over a dozen times between them and the dealership in Alaska for the same issue. I have never in my life been treated so poorly- the woman that owns the store is an awful shrew that proceeded to yell at me in her store because the ankle piece that I had requested did not fit my machine and I wanted to exchange the item for one that suited my machine. I never write reviews unless they are positive but this time I could not ignore the customer service and after doing more research the prices are marked up by 30% minimum. read more

If you need a sewing or embroidery machine serviced, or anything else, DO NOT use Pfaff Creative Sewing Center in Lacey. Three weeks ago I dropped off my wife's embroidery machine to have its basic service done. When I dropped it off I was told they did not need the embroidery arm. I was told that the service would take 7-10 days as normal. Two days later I was called and basically told I was an idiot for not leaving the embroidery attachment, even though their representative told me it wasn't needed. I took them the attachment the following Monday when I returned to work. When I spoke with the service technician I also offered to have my wife setup the hoop so that it was ready for testing on our cloth, with our thread. Again I was told there was no need, they had cloth and thread for testing. Three weeks later I picked up the embroidery machine from service. When I got home I was quickly informed by my wife that they had lost one of the thread caps for the machine. The next day my wife set everything up and began making patches. That lasted for all of about 20 minutes. The machine was in worse shape than when I originally took it in. The tension is so wrong for both the upper and lowers that it created a nice bird nest on the fabric and wasted time and materials. The following day I went into the shop and told the service tech that it still was not right and that they had left the thread cap off. I was informed that there was a 30 day service warranty to bring it back in and he would look at it. The following morning (yesterday) I dropped off the machine and attachments again. The service tech was off yesterday so I knew it would be today before hearing anything back from them. I took samples of what the machine was doing, thread, our linen, and everything else he would need to test with. This morning I was called and yelled at to come get the damn thing, he was tired of dealing with it, that a refund would be issued, that I was an idiot for not bringing cloth in the first time, and that I needed to go elsewhere. I have since then calmed down, picked up the machine, and been issued a refund. I will never again suggest them to anyone nor send them my business, neither should you. read more

A few days ago I called the store to get an estimate or quote on a minor repair needed for my Pfaff. At the time, I couldn't figure out how to access the part needed (the little rubber "donut" that helps to spin the bobbin winder; I was told elsewhere the part costs $3). I was quoted $99.50 for the job! That motivated me to try again to figure out how to access the part. I was successfully able to do so and was even able to fix the problem without a part replacement. Now that I know how to access that area, it was easily only a 5-10 minute job. I'm astounded that this company so easily charges such outrageous prices for such an easy repair. read more

I bought a Pfaff from the Pfaff Creative Sewing Center. What I bought is a mediocre plastic computerized thing made in Czech Republic, not in Germany as the metal Pfaffs of old were. The trick they used on me was to sew through three layers of denim and try to sell the machine, instead of telling me to bring in the threads and fabrics I intended to sew. It would have been easy to just tell me to go home, get my work and bring it in, so that they could do a real world run on it with a variety of machines to really help a customer find the right machine. Instead, they wanted the quick sale and didn't understand the risk of a bad review online. Other reviews here have been just as harsh. After reading hundreds of reviews on Amazon.com of other machines, this machine wasn't worth the $800 I paid for it. On my unit when you stop sewing the needle stops above the work--it has a needle down function that you activate by pressing the foot pedal briefly--you can't change the default to needle down. The presser foot lift lever sticks. The machine chokes on thicker materials by making a birds nest under the work. The speed control is significantly delayed: when you put the pedal to the metal, it hesitates before giving you a medium speed. The stretch stitch is a mess that pulls down stretchy fabric down into the pressure plate. You can drop the feed dogs and sew freestyle, but you cannot lower the presser foot tension, so you will struggle to move the fabric around. This is not the kind of machine that commands a premium price. A Brother, Juki or Janome would have done what I required for the same price or better. The timing on my machine went out several times and the dealer treated me like I got it for free, causing multiple trips to get it repaired. Finally, one time he repaired it on the spot and I could see that it didn't take a rocket scientist to fix it. read more

This dealer saved my 4.5 year old Pfaff with a $350 part (not a circuit board) when another dealer close to my home told me that both circuit boards were bad and the machine was not worth fixing. read more
