Went in for the first time today - great little store, has a cute "neighbourhood" vibe. Nice staff, has a good grocery section, a higher end cosmetics aisle and everything else you'd expect. read more

Isn't it a bit sad that Pharmaprix(s?) never or rarely gets reviewed?…read more I personally love reviews of EVERYTHING, hence, this one. I like this Pharmaprix, it's isn't too far from the Jean-Talon métro station and right behind marché Jean-Talon. It also occupies an older building, which makes it strange and strangely appealing. The prices are, as usual, higher than in any Jean Coutu nearby, but you are are shopping there to rake in all those Optimum points aren't you? :) I can really vouch for their pharmacy staff, they are always lovely and eager to help. If you have any prescriptions, they make sure you are being followed and man, are they following! An employee literally did so one day to inform me that I hadn't picked up my medication as regularly as usual and "was everything alright?". But for the times you don't want such close supervision, I recommend being discreet around the cosmetics: the week-end saleslady can be downright pushy if you linger too closely around the counter..

When on vacation, I love browsing drug stores for deals and we were there right after Christmas so I was hoping for some post-Christmas sales. I so wanted to get them for my nieces, but we were going back to Ottawa by train and these things were huge. Such a shame. I did score some chocolate and salon brand shampoos (in limited edition Christmas scents) for extra cheap. I left a happy camper. The best Pharmaprix ever! Excellent clearance prices.
