Where do I begin? Apparently, the staff at Hinesville, GA Hertz Rent-a-Car does not understand…read morewhat a reservation is, nor do they understand how to take care of Gold Plus Rewards members. When my wife entered the rental office, the manager on site, seemed befuddled when she presented her reservation information. He asked if she had just made that reservation and seemed completely uncaring when my wife explained that we established our reservation more than a month ago. With a take it or leave it attitude, he presented my wife with a car that I can only assume was used as some makeshift food truck specializing in crumbs and some weird, reddish-gray gravy (or something even worse). I will give him credit for offering to clean the car; however, his ignorance at our intended use of the car (one-way travel to JAX, which was included in the reservation information), was more than my wife could stand and she took the vehicle to get on with the other half-dozen or so tasks that she knocks out on a daily basis, since she is a total champion. I spoke to the Hertz regional office manager in Savannah, and while he was a bit more receptive to my issue, he consistently tried to talk his way out of what was most definitely a total lack of professionalism on the part of his company. I need action, not excuses Hertz! Get with the program! The impetus behind this review, was the reason the manager offered the clean the car, and why he showed her the disgusting condition it was in: It was not because he felt bad about the condition of the vehicle, but he didn't want a bad review or a complaint. That level of selfishness, in the service industry, is why I'm glad there's sites like Yelp. So thank you Yelp for helping me voice my frustration, and thank you Hinesville Hertz office manager guy for being such a selfish human being, and serving as an example of what not to do.

Even after Panning the deal on their survey, I found myself on the phone for 2 hours 3 weeks later and Chris agent 4260427 Senior Representative and Earl 5260173 were bored and unwilling or unable to deal with Budget on this contract. In fact EARL the Supervisor was "bored" for 33 minutes before he HUNG UP ON ME......run away from PRICELINE.....I will use Travelosity because it has REAL customer service. All Earl did was repeat a number of times the address for the Senior Vice President of Customer Care @ 800 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06854.....but he didn't know the name of, or if there really was a Senior Vice President of Customer Care. Budget was happy to Rent the SAME car to my Partner for $221, "because we didn't have a contract she cared to honor". Budget is the cause of the PROBLEM, but PRICELINE failed on their role, feels no responsibility for the problem, and is "considering" giving me my money back 3 weeks after they failed. SCREW them BOTH......they did it to me!

A couple of weeks ago a friend of ours hit our car and because of that we needed a rental for a week while it was in the shop being repaired. I have never rented a car before so it was all very new to me. Philip was the first person that I spoke to, very professional and very sensitive to my needs and my family's needs. The night before I was supposed to pick up the car Philip called and explained to me that the van I had rented for the week had been in a car accident and would I take a Tahoe, brand-new, instead at the same price. Of course I would! Who wouldn't? It was an exceptionally nice ride and for that price! for eight days! I was very impressed. I was also worried about how I was gonna get back and forth to the body shop and Enterprise while trying to swap between vehicles, but he sent a fella named Sean to help us out and give us rides to and from the body shop both days! Very professional and very kind and patient!! I returned the Tahoe, thanked them for their service and went about my business. Not even a week later I took my van into get an oil change and pieces of the engine fell apart right in front of the mechanic and I found myself needing a rental once again. I called Phillip and he immediately Took care of me and put me in a nice little Toyota Corolla for a mere $52 including insurance. After I got in the car and crunk it up I noticed a lingering cigarette smell coming from the air conditioner vent, normally I would not have a problem with this, I don't like it, but I could deal, especially since he took such good care of me, and he can't control what people do in these rentals and I understand that. I definitely did not want to be a huge burden. Because of my daughters allergies though, I had to for the better sake of her health call him back and ask if we could swap vehicles. Without hesitation Phillip said "of course, come on back and we will get ya swapped out." I am VERY pleased. Needless to say, Phillip and Sean at enterprise will be my go-to car rental place from here on out! Thankful to have found them! I hope this helps and I wish more people would rate these places. I am an avid 'yelper' and I don't just rant about any business being a business owner myself, again, please give them a chance if you find yourself in a bind with a car.
