I have never come across a more unprofessional, negligent and rude letting agency. They have caused us so much anguish, every interaction has been a battle, it's been impossible to get them to meet their legal obligations as landlord, we've had to pay for repairs ourselves on multiple occasions. Work has been promised and then a year and a half later still not carried out. They hide behind the home owner, although they are managing the property. These guys are so adept at deflecting issues when you go and see them in person, it's hardly a surprise a different customer was shouting at them when we first signed up with them. We should have just turned around and left then and saved ourselves so much hassle. They'll promise the world and then just *bleep* you over. You will always have a hard time getting hold of them, they don't reply to email, there is no OOH phone line, they make promises they don't keep. They even made the exit a nightmare by giving bad reviews despite us looking after the property, paying for repairs ourselves and always paying them on time. I have never written a review before, but I almost feel like I have to warn people. I am telling everyone I know to stear clear, I don't want anyone having them go through such a horrific customer experience. Just run far away and don't look back.

    DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS COMPANY!! They will steal your deposit…read more We have been trying to get our deposit returned for two years. We left the house in excellent condition after spending a full day cleaning. They took a photo of a cobweb and dust on a skirting board, claiming that they had spent hundreds of pounds on cleaning services which they were taking off the deposit. They also charged for various other tiny details but never managed to produce any receipts. They would not return the remaining deposit despite persistent phone calls and visits to the office. Apparently, only Tom can deal with the issues and we wasted many phone calls ringing and speaking to the other staff, as Tom was always conveniently out of the office. Tom never calls back and is arrogant and unpleasant when you finally have the misfortune to have to deal with him. Overall, a bad experience. I hope the landlord commenting below wins his court case, his story does not surprise me.

Thom who runs this company is a liar and crook. He owes me several thousand pounds. I have associates who had properties listed with Thom and his bunch of monkeys, and they are owed thousands of pounds in rent that Thom has definitely collected but pocketed. This is not just a case of tenants not paying...this is a crooked letting agent. I am currently in the process of taking him to court. Tenants beware too. He does not always put your deposit into the scheme as he legally should, and some of the tenants I had are still trying to get back their deposits. Thom claims to be a member of the ARLA. Im not sure if this is true, but when I contacted them, they suggested I try and resolve this issue directly. Waste of time the ARLA are. Thom is a short dumpy looking man...beware!

I was looking to rent my property and contacted the We Let team via Facebook. Wayne who I dealt with was both efficient, professional and not at all pushy. When he visited me, he arrived on time, was smart and very presentable, spent time discussing the options, took a genuine interest in the property and left me all the details I required. I would recommend this company if you are looking to rent out your property or rent a new pad in the city centre.

The main issue throughout my tenancy was persistent damp, mould and excessive humidity. These problems were reported repeatedly over more than 2.5 years. Whilst remedial works were eventually carried out, including replacing a bathroom extractor fan that had been venting moisture into the property rather than outside, and adding ventilation vents to the living room and bedroom, the underlying issue was never fully resolved. Both the landlord and letting agency were aware that these measures would improve the situation but not eliminate it. The extent of the problem was demonstrated by the original blinds in both the living room and bedroom becoming covered in black mould spots. After several months, they were replaced with plastic blinds to prevent the humidity damaging them again. Even after the works, I still had to keep windows open regularly and run a dehumidifier almost constantly, often removing around 2 litres of water from the air every day. The flat, located within an old Victorian building with very high ceilings, was also difficult and expensive to heat, often feeling cold and damp even during milder weather. Despite being a low-maintenance tenant who paid rent on time and looked after the property, I was extremely disappointed by the end-of-tenancy process. Before check-out, I thoroughly cleaned the flat, including hiring a Rug Doctor to clean the carpets. Nevertheless, £92 was deducted from my deposit for "light cleaning and mould removal". The photographs provided by the agency showed only minor traces of dirt that could easily have been wiped away and did not, in my view, justify a professional cleaning charge. Given the long-standing and documented mould issues, I found the mould removal charge particularly unreasonable. Communication was also poor, especially from Jodie, property manager. I had to chase multiple times for the check-out report, which was only provided 12 days after I returned the keys, delaying the return of my deposit. My concerns were only addressed after escalating the matter to senior management. Overall, after years of dealing with damp, mould, humidity and a cold property, I feel very let down by the way the tenancy was concluded. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this property or the agency managing it.
