A helpful airport porter helped us with our luggage and check in, making sure we were well taken care of. I also thought found the staff at the STARLUX counter to be accommodating and helpful. The airport is clean, organized and stress free. I enjoyed exploring the shopping areas and eateries, which made the wait time pleasant. The airport does have a lot of places to eat and shops. The shops are not too exciting but you can find cosmetic stores, nick knacks, mango shops and more. Enough to keep you busy for a while. There are so many problems that I don't know where to start. The first problem is greed. When I…read moremade my reservation through booking.com I received a message from them saying there's a 1000-peso fee for arriving late, even though I paid online in advance. Who charges a fee for arriving late? A fee should be charged for arriving early or checking out late. Second problem is they never answer the phone and they're impossible to reach. Finally, I was unable to board my flight because I didn't have a vaccination card so my flight was canceled by the airline. The hotel would not let me cancel because they didn't reply, and when booking.com requested a refund, they said the cancelation fee is 100% of all charges, which in my case was almost $800. When I paid online, it was optional. I could have waited to pay over the counter when I arrived, so they had no right to keep my $800. I wish there was a way to boycott this hotel.

Not a lot of eateries in the gate area, I only saw two small kiosks. Some walls had beautiful murals. A band played live, festive music at the gate as we boarded the plane. The bathrooms were clean and had plentiful toilet paper. Overall, not a bad experience.
