Today, I decided to take a stroll on down to OhMi and get a 20oz cold brew. Such a phenomenal day for weather out there people, the best of the year so far, I do say! As I enter the business, I'm greeted with a friendly hello and I begin looking around as there were some folks ahead of me. They have wonderful merchandise for sale as well as healthy kombucha drinks along with their chocolates and coffee of course. I would recommend all their chocolates. So packed with flavor and often fudge like, they're kept cold, and they have, I believe, 180 or so flavors! However, I was only looking for a cold brew today! "Well, what did you order already?! Tell us!" Okay, okay, I'll tell ya. I asked what they'd recommend as I'm down to try any and all flavors! The friendly lady said they have a special from St. Patrick's Day still available that has some sort of Irish Whiskey flavor. She went into greater detail about the drink, but it escapes my mind, sorry y'all. But anyways, I was already sold! Well, it turns out it was thirsty Thursday, so I got a dollar off my drink! Absolutely awesome, can't beat a 20oz for only $4 and at this quality too! I decided to get one chocolate because why not? I got the superior fudge which I devoured about 20 feet outside of the shop! They gave me a free two-pack of chocolate surprise cookies too! The good folks in there are always giving away free goodies, and I'm down for it! The cookies were super soft with a hint of what I feel is a molasses taste. Almost like the delicious homemade molasses cookies my mom used to make! The chocolate surprise is in the center, and it's a smooth light chocolate! I highly enjoyed them, thanks! The coffee was phenomenal and refreshing. The coffee here has never disappointed, and I love trying all the different varieties! These people are like mad scientists when it comes to the flavors, but they're doing nothing but good in the community and in their shop too! Love this place and always look forward to coming back! I have heard of their food from friends and happened upon them at an event in St. Johns. They served up a full menu of brisket, burnt ends, pork, ribs, and chicken. They also had an apple slaw and loaded mashed potatoes, along with their signature sauces. It was all delicious. I had their meats taco-style, one chicken and one pork with slaw and a spicy crema (sour cream). The meat was so smoky with a robust flavor that wasn't salty. The slaw and cream amplified the flavors of the meat, and didn't distract from it. Before leaving, I picked up a plate of what was left, chicken and burnt ends. My partner ate some last night after the drive home, and I just finished some (24 hours later). The flavor is still spot on, and the meat is still tender. The owners of this BBQ joint seem to love what they do. They do it very well. I can't wait to track them down again.

The cider mill was unfortunately closed when I went mid week during the days it's very family friendly. On weekends it's supposed to be busier and the back bar by the field is open. Go early and find a spot. The cider is pretty good as well, does not taste super artificial fake apple tasting which is a plus. The donuts are obvi good but they are like cinnamon sugar (powdered sugar).

I'm not saying I'm a bathroom snob, but for a place that charges artisan-pastry prices, maybe throw some bleach around once in a while. Overall--yeah, I'll probably still go back. I always passed the giant billboards advertising exotic meats like shark, ostrich, scorpion, kangaroo, etc. I finally stopped here and was kind of unprepared for the expensive prices of some of the rarer selections. The interior was very bland, but the old guy behind the counter was super friendly. Not really wanting to spend a ton of money, I picked up three "flavored beef sticks" of various animals that all tasted the same and a pop for a cost of $13. I'm usually a stickler when it comes to spending money a ton of money anywhere.
