Something about their coffee makes drinking coffee a treat for me again. :) (I do wish I know how much calories are there in one cup. But I guess once a week visit won't hurt much.) Philharmonic is my favorite (iced). I tried light, medium, and sweet and creamy. The sweet and creamy makes the best taste for this drink. Tried a couple of other drinks but I kept coming back to this. And I do enjoy their almond croissant. It is flaky, which I like, even though it's messy to eat :). Out of all the coffee places, Philz is always great coffee. We got the Iced Coffee Rosé sweet and creamy and the Luca's Unplugged Decaf sweet and creamy. The staff were friendly and got us through the order quickly. I liked this location in specific because of the ample space for many people to study/relax, and cute decor within the bathroom. Dear Philz, What happened to you? To us? I admit, we were on a break, so it's been a while since we've seen each other. But you've changed...a lot. Gone are the days of stepping up to the counter to order that special single cup, made exactly to order, from a barista, who afterwards, eagerly awaits for me to take my first sip and either (1) expresses my deep satisfaction, or (2) requests minor tweaks to make my Java just right, just perfect. Now, I order from a half-asleep shop girl, who while pleasant, yawns in my face as she asks me how to spell my name because "it's too early" (8am) and she "just woke up." Then my order is sent into the great abyss of orders, and I step aside to wait with the hoards of others, who seem to wait and wait, as the most immediate cups slung on the coffee bar are those pesky order-ahead mobile orders. It seems those who show up, in person, take the back seat to the mobile folk. It also didn't help that one particular fan girl, who one can assume is "a regular", walked up to the coffee bar multiple times, shooting the breeze with the baristas, like a gazillion people weren't waiting for their coffee. Even though you've changed to be just like the others, it's not a deal breaker. BUT...this is the deal breaker: Nobody, and I mean NOBODY (except maybe the female barista you were so loudly, and gleefully, and cluelessly chatting/flirting/gossiping with) wants to hear about your kissing escapades and you questioning "why a kiss isn't a kiss unless tongue is involved." I mean, all of us waiting (and there were MANY of us), at your mercy because we wanted our damn coffee, were your captivated, or shall I say - captive, audience. All the baked goods and food items that I've had are delicious and taste fresh This location is super modern in design , lots of outdoor seating . Coffee is a hit or miss depending on who is making it so the consistency is not there. But the real killer here is that the service is extremely slow , even if you pre order on the app (which I always do) with a pre determined pick up time they are always an average of 10-20 minutes after your designated pick up time. Important to take into consideration if you're in a rush. DeAnza Philz location is much more consistent with the drinks and reliable with pick up times so if you're in the area and don't mind driving a couple streets down I'd recommend you go there. read more

Whenever I order in person, I am always greeted with the bold scents of coffee brewing, ambiance, and friendly employees. If it's your first time there, they'll walk you through their menu based on what you like (I'm a sweet and creamy kind of guy when it comes to how I order my coffee). When they call for you to pick up your order( they politely ask you to take a sip to see how it tastes, and if it's not the right amount of sweetness, they'll fix it! I normally love this location because I would go after school but I havent been back in awhile and today was pretty disappointed. I order the same thing every time I go and it's normally so good but today it was bitter and had no flavor. I went back to ask them to hopefully add more sugar or something but they just kept ignoring me despite seeing me. I also work at a coffee shop so I understand being busy but it was just so obvious that I needed help that I didnt understand why she didn't at least ask if I needed something. Something is broken over there at that store location. The coffee has changed and so has the attitude. I've been going there since that place opened years ago. Always buy the same blend ground. Came home and it tasted awful. Went back to complain thinking they mixed up the beans in error. They gave me a new bag yesterday. But it still tastes off and bad. Either their bins of beans are labeled incorrectly, or they changed the coffee supply, or whatever. But won't go back there anymore to the cupertino shop. This is only about the mobile ordering experience at this store. The app says an "Ameya" is working on the order in the app. You show up to the store and there is no barista by that name, no nameplate, nothing. I go to ask an employee who the barista from the app is, and I'm told nobody has that name. That's confusing, the app says one name, but that person doesn't exist, yet someone is working on my order. They pull a switch-ero here and it's weird. It's like they don't want you to follow up with your order but the app literally tells us to. It also always takes forever even when the store is not busy. I know Philz takes longer than the average coffee shop but I order 20 mins in advance and then 20 mins late for pickup for 2 iced coffees is not okay. The mint mojito I received was also the worst one I ever had in my life and I've had a lot of them. So to recap, mobile order bad. Manipulative, slow, and poor quality. Not worth. Mobile order at Campbell Philz is the way to go. I'll be heading there from now on. read more

Great location and curb appeal in the Main Street Cupertino plaza. I usually find this area too crowded and difficult to find parking, but on a late Monday afternoon (MLK holiday), we found parking quickly right in front. As of January 2022, I saw some indoor seating available, but there's also plenty of outdoor space right at the center of the plaza, ample benches and a large grassy area. Ordering online is easy, picking your beverage, sweetness, cream, hot vs iced, etc. And they have a clearly marked line at the store for mobile pickup. The wait was standard, maybe just a tad long (a little over 15 min), quoted when ordering online. The service was efficient, and the drinks were perfect. I specifically got the Mocha Tesora iced, with minimal sweetness, and I loved it! It had a rich chocolatey flavor which didn't necessitate extra sweetness, better than Starbucks IMO. My partner got the Philtered Soul hot, and he enjoyed it too especially on a beautiful winter day. read more

Iced mint mojito 5/5 Barista/staff 5/5 Location/Parking Located pretty much in the center of Main Street Cupertino plaza. I came here around 11:30am on a Wednesday. It took a little while (~5-10 minutes) to find parking due to many other restaurants and shops in the area. But parking is free, just keep circling if you can't find a spot the first time around haha. Ordering experience There was no line when I arrived at Philz. Now during COVID, they just have you pay and inform a barista/staff member your drink up at the cashier at the same time rather than (before COVID) order your drink first with a barista and then walk over to the cashier then pay. I actually like this system better because it's not confusing and you don't have to say your order twice. Not that saying your order twice is a big deal, but it can get confusing where the line to order is, where you pay for your drink, etc. The drink The iced mint mojito was made perfectly--sweet and creamy with almond milk---just how I love it! I have been going to Philz for 5+ years now and just never got around to reviewing them. I highly recommend giving this drink a try if you are unsure of what to get or don't really even like coffee... their iced mint mojito is sweet, delicious, and keeps you awake! Today, I visited around 1:50 pm and ordered a large coffee, but it was served as a medium. My friend informed the barista, who was a tall white girl with glasses, that the order should have been a large. She fixed the issue, quickly. I casually asked if she only added ice cubes (I asked because I have seen others done it), the barista assured me there were not. Everything was fine until she started giggling with a coworker while looking at me, which I found very disrespectful. It made me feel really uncomfortable and mocked. My question may have seemed lame, but the behavior I experienced was inappropriate for someone in a customer service role. Who would think that ordering a coffee could go wrong, right? Philz is always great for your coffee fix! I always get a philtered soul cold brew! There is some seating inside. If the weather permits, the outside seating in Main Street is really good as well. A few downsides to this location is that it is in Main Street. Parking can get extremely difficult during peak hours. And with that, traffic can get bad and then service can take a bit longer to pump out drinks. So if you did have Philz cravings, I would recommend you to just go down the street to the other Stevens Creek location and order there. You can also order through the app to get drinks faster! Been a minute since I've gone back to Philz Coffee and I was super excited because I've been craving their iced mint mojito! ~Location~ Inside Main St. Cupertino plaza! We parked near the target because the spots were filled around the cafe but the walk isn't far at all. Seats and benches are available outside if you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee. ~Covid protocol~ There are marks/labels on the concrete to enforce social distancing and to separate the 'order line' from the 'waiting to pick up'. Doors are open at the back, table set up for drink pick-up, plexiglass setup. Contactless payment is available however you do need to fill out the tip question after ordering by tapping on the screen. Staff are wearing masks, mask required for entry. ~Service~ The cashier today was super chill and nice and this is always a plus. When we grabbed our drinks, he even said to make sure it's perfect or let them know if it isn't. Your name is called when your drinks are done and they are placed alphabetically by the first letter of your name at the table! ~Drinks~ My sister and I both got small iced mint mojitos and it was super delicious and refreshing! We were from out of town and we have never been to a Philz before. The one critic I have would be to confirm how ordering works. I could be wrong but it seems all coffees are served black unless you specifically ask for milk and a sweetener. I ordered the Philtered Soul with oat milk, thinking it came with some kind of sweetener in it like other coffee houses (Starbucks, Better Buzz, etc.), however this didn't seem to be the case. Luckily im used to drinking black coffee and the coffee was a good flavor so it wasn't that great of a deal jsut not what I was expecting. This Philz is in a really pretty area, with lots of outdoor seating. It's also a large place, and was not overly crowded when we got there which was nice. I ordered a large Ether, sweet and creamy, and it was tasty, although I wish I had asked for it to be extra sweet and creamy. What I especially love about Philz is the very very smooth mouth-feel of their coffee. It truly is wonderful! On the flip side, I find it hard to really tell much difference between all the different coffee flavors? My husband and I joke about there being only one grind of coffee at Philz, and they just make up different names for it! All the employees are always very friendly and helpful and are always really knowledgeable about everything they can make you. Ambiance You never know... every Philz is very different and the employees pick the music. I have been there when there's a great vibe and I hangout and get some stuff done on my laptop and other times when I was itching to get out bc the music is too laud and bad lol.
