You may see some small animals. Ducks bunnies lizards or even a hawk.

Seems clean and well managed, but the road noise and extreme temperatures quickly transform overnight "adventure tent" camping into a dystopian hellscape. There is nothing the county can really do to improve this; this repurposed flood control area is nicely appointed and kept up; its just that camping here may not be a great idea.

Beautiful park with campgrounds and boat launch. They just redid the boat launch so there are now two docks to launch from yeah! The views at sunset are beautiful. Many birds to watch. You can also take a look at our local locks.

It is an hour drive for us but we find it so worth while. The food concession is a tremendous value and the food is great. They have bikes, kayaks and a river tour. Or you can pay the $6.00 per car and pack a lunch for one of the best values for a family. Great place to spend a day.

We stopped by on a weekday and the park was pretty and relaxing. Not too many people on the couple of trails we did. The observation tower is closed but they still have a nice boardwalk up to that area that makes for a great walk! It's pretty highly elevated for Florida - kind of impressive in person! Entry is $6 per car, and the lady provided a map and recommended her favorite trail. We checked that trail out as well (the white trail), but the height of the observation tower trail was really the star! We decided to drive around after doing both trails, and we saw their campgrounds. So surprising at how busy this place was! It seemed there was hardly an empty spot! Must be a happening place to camp! We'd definitely return for more adventures, as this is a cool park!

We never did anything to get in trouble the 3 years I lived there. They gave one ridiculous violation because the house number on trash bin (which is 1 on the house and 2 on the trash bin on ground) had been sun bleached out but the number on the house was CLEARLY readable. This place is ruined by the rude snowbirds. Rude security staff (except Brooke she is amazing) they gave anyone who came out a hard time. We called everyone in even had to call in doordash bc they wouldn't let them come in. All together the only thing worth it out there is the views and amenities at the clubhouse. The people act like pure trash to anyone they don't deem old enough for "their island." They even threw a fit for owners trying to Airbnb their homes when they were not in town God forbid they stayed less than 1 month at a time. Can't wait for the old stuck in their ways people to die off and stop discriminating against "young people". The snowbirds were the worst there the mindset is its mine and you shouldn't be here even though my husband and I were residents year round. 100% reason why we didn't purchase a place out there. Stop discriminating and MAYBE they can be seen as great place.

We were able to put our big ole truck next to the rig easily. It was super quiet and everyone was friendly. The owners are very kind and caring. They seem like they enjoy what they are doing. The only reason I gave this park a four instead of a four five is there are no laundry facilities or bath house. Although we didn't need either, it's good to know in advance so you can be prepared. It takes about 15 minutes to get into town. Not many good restaurants nearby but we decided to cook. We also perused the flea market. Every site is paved with manicured landscaping. Plants in between sites provide privacy. 50 amps FHU, big rig friendly. Boat ramp conveniently located inside the resort, great for RVers who are here for fishing There's boat/trailer storage area in the end of the park, for renters to store the toys. There are gators in the lake, so you don't want to swim in the lake! Wifi, outdoor pool, pet friendly, gated. Although not many amenities, but there is a big tiki by canal equipped with outdoor seating, great for chilling and hanging out with friends. Big dog park for our fur baby to run freely. Dog bags are provided through out the park, very thoughtful. However there's no trash by the dog park or anywhere near by to throw away. Can only go to big dumpster. We love this park! It's a great location for weekend getaway for us. We are thinking of coming here once a month!
