What attracted me to Noodle Hutt were the attractively presented buffet station with what looked like just out of the wok offerings. I chose a new flavour that I'd never tried before: Balinese Chicken. The flavour is spicy, with visible chilli flakes present in the slightly sweet sauce. I chose the fried rice rather than boring old plain rice. It costs no extra. The chicken was thigh meat rather than breast, which is a more flavoursome cut. I did find myself fishing out some gristle between chews. But flavour is King. The portion size is such that you could easily have some for lunch and come back to it for dinner, or leftovers for the next day. For $8, you really can't complain about the meal size. Huge is an accurate description (and I'm a big eater).

I'm not usually a big fan of broken rice dishes but the grilled pork in this dish is so tasty, that I order it every time. Also the DIY rice paper rolls with sugar cane prawns are fantastic and they don't stimp on the paper rolls either. I've also heard that this place does the best pho in Brisbane. Que Huong is a difficult name to remember but the food is unforgettable…read more Whenever people ask me to recommend the best Vietnamese food around, I tell them to check out this place. Firstly, you know its genuine Vietnamese cooking because it's located in Darra - suburb of all things Vietnamese. Secondly, try their signature chilli crab which I guarantee will silence all sceptics. Just don't wear your best clothes, be prepared to get your hands dirty and leave your table manners at home. This is a dish that you have to suck, slurp and bite through to savour every last morsel. If you're not after extravagant seafood, their pho noodles, vermicelli salads and do-it-yourself hand rolls are equally tasty. In fact, we have a rule whenever we dine here to try at least one new dish and we've never yet been disappointed. Take a look at my uploaded photos saved over many meals at Que Huong but be warned. Photos can cause irrational behaviour due to hunger pains. The restaurant is pretty large with two levels but it can get crowded on the weekends so make sure you book ahead of time.

It was with great relief one weekday lunchtime that I discovered My Street Food Vietnamese existed. With the promise of fresh authentic dishes direct from Vietnam I bundled my colleagues into a car and drove the 2 minutes down the road to the little store-front. We have been back many, many times since that fateful day and it has now become an accepted part of our lunchtime repertoire. M.S.F Chicken Crispy Fried Rice has become the undisputed favourite of the entire office space. The melt-in-your-mouth chicken doused heavily in an aromatic marinade coupled with the crunchy rice and sweet cucumber and carrot slivers is a match made in heaven. We all feel fresher after eating this particular dish, and even the most decadent of the group will often choose it over a heavier fast-food option. The Vermicelli Salad with Lemongrass Pork comes a firm second in the lunch-time line-up. The pork is always soft and tender and couples beautifully with the flat rice noodles and lettuce, cucumber and herb salad. When comparing this dish to the version at Gabba Takeaway the My Street Food option is always nicer with a better quality cut of pork and far less sinewy, fatty bits. The store itself is an exercise in bright, clean functionality. A team of workers bustle behind the counter brimming with fresh ingredients and pre-made rice paper rolls. Phone orders are encouraged, and there is a convenient car spot right out the front for dash-and-carry lunchtime pick-ups. The prices are reasonable with most dishes under $10 and it won't tax your health either. I highly recommend this local gem for takeaway options.
