I would say, the food we ordered is good. We had the shrimp rice noodle soup, the fried eggroll and the shrimp egg roll plus a huge order of I forgot what its called. So far, the shrimp rice noodle soup is not as we expected it to be. It is warm but not hot. The noodles felt like came from the freezer and it was hard to shred it for us to eat it since the soup is not hot to separate it easily. The shrimp felt like raw while being eaten because the soup was not able to heat it well. It felt like the food was only microwaved. The eggrolls are good. Both orders. The fried and the other one. We always loved their fried egg rolls. The bowl that was ordered was great. Nothing bad to say though it can be better. Their restrooms are clean and smells good. They do have changing station for babies too. They have a good hand wash that smells good too. The reason for my 3 star is that even if we came in 50mins before closing time, it feels awkward that they come and go with their big trash bin through their front door while there are still customers eating. It is also unhygienic for them to roam around with their vaccum and broom/dust pan while people are still eating. Plus, the awkward feeling of being stared at while we have to rush eating our dinner cuz they make us feel that we NEED to hurry to get out so they can go home. I wish I would've seen the Yelp reviews before I ordered but I'm a Pho fanatic and this is probably the worst pho I've ever had. I ordered chicken pho with imitation crab and there were literally 4 small pieces of chicken and 2 imitation crab pieces. Very little onions/dressings and the broth didn't have very much taste AT ALL. Definitely not ever going back. If you're looking for amazing pho, try Pho Ha on Foothill, they never disappoint! read more

I had a bomb experience at Pho BamBu. The staff was attentive from the get go and quickly took our order. The food came out quickly as well and was super delicious! The wings with the garlic fish sauce were amazing, the pho was hearty, the fried rice was sticky how I like it, and the pad Thai was a thumbs up!!!! I love when a restaurant can keep my water glass full. Unfortunately, we did have to ask for a refill on our waters but luckily the cups are big so we didn't need refills often. Another note, my appetizer did come out after my entree and the food didn't come out at the same time but all in all the experience was great and I will be coming back here again! read more

There's so much more to Vietnamese cuisine than just the average Pho or Spring rolls or fried rice etc. I love all types of food . I chose bun bo hue since it has so much flavor and spice with a thicker noodle & different texture in meats ! I do highly recommend it ! Only thing I'd say is when you are eating this noodle soup I wished Pho Bambu offered the additional herbs & cabbages that compliments this soup . They only give you bean sprouts & lime and Thai basil which really doesn't bring the most flavor in this incredible soup . I understand it's more expensive but I've gone to other Vietnamese restaurants that offer with that soup . The egg rolls were a perfect crisp .. but was missing the additional lettuce wraps & cucumbers & pickled vegetables that are used to compliment this egg roll appetizer. Usually when you eat it you are supposed to wrap it with all those ingredients and dip it in the sweet chili fish sauce . I'd suggest this spot if you crave Vietnamese food if it's local . Everything is definitely better home made or take a trip to Westminster.. Garden Grove plenty of authentic Vietnamese restaurants if you are open to the drive . Overall , experience was decent . So, I stopped coming after they got dinged by the Health Police. Today, I was in the area and decided to give it another try. What a mistake! I had the shrimp & pork summer rolls and egg rolls, neither were good. The pork in the summer rolls tasted rancid. The egg rolls tasted ok but 6 rolls came with 2 pieces of lettuce, one which was wilted and sad sad looking. Also ordered a coconut juice: overfilled with ice and water down. I was eating in, but they decided to serve the coconut juice in a styrofoam cup with a plastic spoon. why would you do this?! So much for the environment. read more

We called in an order for pick up, and when I got there to get our order, there was a paper bag and plastic bag filled with food. The cashier told me that those were our orders, so I paid and grabbed them, but when I got home, our drinks were not in the bags. My wife called them, and they said that I had forgotten it. I repeatedly asked if all of our orders were in those two bags, and she (cashier) repeatedly answered yes. An hr later I had to go to the ER and was puking my guys. They sho was extra mushy and didn't taste right. I called the next morning and spoke to the manager. He said he would call back. No response. I was a regular at this restaurant. This was my favorite Pho restaurant in the area. It just makes me sick to my stomach not knowing about these grotesque health violations that were occurring while I was dining here. What baffles me is that the restaurant had a letter grade of A in the window! How can you have an A grade and have an infestation of roaches and other vermin running around in your kitchen? I don't even want to wonder where they were getting their meat from. At least they finally got caught and shut down! I don't know if they are trying to re-open this restaurant again, but I really hope they don't. What a way to lose the public's trust in your establishment. I went here on a whim as I saw a friend's status update that they were offering a free soda or thai tea for their grand opening. Service was a little on the slower side, but forgivable for it being the grand opening. After a second reminder, things were always brought out promptly. Prices are about .50 - $1.00 more than most other pho places in Rancho. We started with an order of spring rolls (order of 3) to share. Each had 3 plump shrimps and a slice of beef in it, and I really liked how it was stuffed with more lettuce than vermicelli. The sauce it came with was more on the hoisin-y side than peanut-y side. The complimentary thai iced tea that we had was lightly sweetened, but had a strong tea flavor. I don't know if the sweetness was compromised since they were churning them out for free all day, but it is a little less sweeter than a regular thai iced tea. I ordered the charbroiled pork vermicelli (bun thit nuong, $7.50) and that sucker was HUGE. My picture doesn't do it justice to show how much you get, but it's served in a bowl-like plate. You can easily share this dish with someone and eat till you're full. The pork was juicy and flavorful and the 2 egg rolls that came on it were crisp and delicious. I'M SOLD. My boyfriend got the rice plate w/ the charbroiled pork, egg and minced meat casserole, and shrimp cake and that came with a lot too. I got to try a bit of everything and nothing was dry or tough. My friends, on the other hand, got the pho which was unmemorable. I got to taste some of it and the broth was a little too bland. The flavors and spices were there, but it was like someone watered it down. The pho is the only thing that really dragged my rating down, but it's something I can't really forgive especially if you have the word "pho" in your restaurant name. All in all, I would definitely come back for the vermicelli or rice dishes because they were delicious. But for pho? Pass. read more

I really want to like this place, I do because I go here a lot after school to get a cheap pho fix but not anymore. This time, there was not one, but THREE strikes that made me change my mind. First my brother ordered the crispy noodles with chicken. And the chicken was so UNDERcooked, it was red. Which is highly unsanitary. He could've gotten food poisoning because he took a bite(see photos). Secondly, there was a curly little hair on my beef tendon inside my pho. I have no idea how I even saw it but I did. I kind of have a knack for finding hair in my food (See photo). And thirdly, they got my Togo order wrong. My brother ordered the condensed milk with egg yolk and they gave us French coffee. I saw the grand opening sign 2 weeks ago. Today they opened so I walked in at lunch 1:00pm sharp. This place smelled like a PHO establishment, the smell was stuck to the wall already along with the permeating smell of soy sprouts. I expected greatness but I walked away disappointed. When I got here there was no line, so I expected to get my food in 10 minutes. 50 minutes passed and nothing came out. The only thing I saw was a bunch of regular looking asian lady servers burning their hands on extra large bowls. Next time please use an extra plate under your bowl even paco the dish washer knows that. Who are these novice servers? After this much time passed my lunch was over. Combining the tangy/sweet sauce and chili paste with the noodles, fresh veggies, savory meat, and fried shrimp paste brought out the perfect balance. The egg roll is just as good, crispy and yummy. I think this is what makes Vietnamese food taste so good, there's a harmony between the sweet, savory, and freshness. After a meal you're not left feeling over stuffed or greasy. The portion was generous, probably enough leftovers for tomorrow. First off I thought this place would be great but the coolness of the restaurant in the morning had me wanting to leave as fast as they sat us. It was uncomfortably cold!! I ordered the number 44 which looked delicious but the meat was under cooked not to my liking and the rice was still hard. Walked in got seated right away. Extended menu, kind of overwhelming. Ordered basically from the pic since it looked tasty. What i got didnt look like the pic at all. Flavors were easy to get used too. I was starving so i would of ate anything. I just dont inderstand why i couldnt get the taste out of my mouth after i finished . I ordered tea and asked for a refill and got water. I told my waiter and he mumbled something, laughed and walked away. Kinda funny and wierd.
