This is a cute little place mainly for take-out restaurant. They are tables and chairs for sit down, but most people were came in for to-go orders during the time we were dining there. The pho broth and flavor of the foods we ordered are decent for this area. Not the best or the most authentic compared to countless other shops we tasted. However, since this is not an Asian-dominated area, and we can find something with a similar taste, I say it's pretty good already. The chicken skewer is more on the Japanese teriyaki flavor side, instead of the Vietnamese lemongrass-based flavor. Even their menu is more fusion, which is understandable; they need to target the local population. Located in the mall are high walking scores to shops and residential buildings. Parking was easy to find, either street parking or utilize the parking lot nearby. Value-reasonable pricing. Service-cashier was friendly. place your order by the register, then they will bring your food to you, if you like to eat there. So there wasn't much service needed. Like soup, it was a nice mix of rice noodles, todo, carrots, mushrooms with a hint of anise. Delicious! #29 tofu summer rolls. Like a salad in a roll, served with a somewhat sweet mild peanut sauce. Stopped by Pho District for lunch while shopping at the greene. Lots of options outside of just pho. I got the shredded chicken banh mi and my wife got the chicken pho -- they have 3 different sizes of pho. The food took quite awhile to be prepared (~15-20 minutes) despite the restaurant being relatively empty and having 3 line cooks. However, once it came out, it was pretty good. I enjoyed the banh mi, and my wife's chicken pho had good flavor. Other reviews mentioned it being over priced, but I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. My sandwich was $7.50 for a good size portion. The medium sized pho was around $13 and more food than we could finish between the two of us. Yes, Yelpers there's good Pho in Dayton. Had a very nice bowl of Pho Tai (sliced beef). They have three sizes of servings to choose from, I did the small bowl, regretting that decision now The broth was excellent, great flavors not overwhelming in any one spice or another. The beef was good (could've been a few more pieces, lol). They serve the pho with basil, cilantro, jalapeño slices and bean sprouts. They have siracha, but why? We go to Wat Da Pho often so we decided to go to the Greene Shopping Center and try out Pho District. The atmosphere is not as nice, the people are nice and have good customer service. The menu is very similar, however, they offer tofu and they lack seafood. Since I've always gotten seafood pho I was pretty disappointed. My kids were excited for the tofu. My Man got the same thing he would usually get, a ham sub. He said it was 10x better than the one he would eat. Back to the pho, my kids thought the tofu pho was delicious. I thought the meatball and sliced beef pho was very good--their broth, was delicious!! The only real "complaint" would be the crab Rangoon's were burnt/over fried. We just won't order those again. I'm not sure if we will return...it's a little further drive for us...but if we are already in the area, we would be happy to stop back in. read more

I got the $12 "pho district". You order at the counter. There are very casual vibes here. Extra sauces are at the counter and you go pick up your food when your name is called. This is kind of like a "chef's choice" pick where they get to pick the meat. This was a very typical and basic pho, though it was slightly expensive for what was the most "premium" option. I have been here several times and they seemed to give fewer noodles/beef this time. Beef: There were meatballs, tendons, and beef flank pieces. I was a little underwhelmed by the amount of meat given the size of the bowl and the cost. I really though there should have been more. But the beef tasted good! We decided to go check this place out on a nice cold night. Unlike most pho places, this is self service. So you order at the register, and they hand you a dining buzzer that goes off when your order is ready. They have the sauces and condiments at the pick up window. The order taker was not particularly helpful or friendly. We of course ordered pho (they come in large and small sizes) and I had to try the bubble tea. The bill was very pricey for self services, but it is at the Greene. The bubble tea? It was disappointment, not flavorful and the bubbles not bouncy chewy at all. I was sad. My old man said he really liked the broth, but I thought it was ok. And i felt like i didnt have enough broth in mine. Over all.. it was ok compared to some of the other pho places. For the price i can eat at a sit down that is a but better and friendly. We probably will not be back, but if someone wanted to meet there for lunch we would not say no. read more

I reluctantly went shopping at The Greene and thought I'd treat myself to lunch. I was at American Eagle and noticed this place across the street. I love Pho and hadn't had it since I moved to Dayton from Columbus so I thought I'd give it a try! I wasn't disappointed! It felt safe as far as social distancing and was very clean inside. I ordered the tofu pho and it was delicious! The tofu wasn't raw, like most tofu pho I've had. They are in big chunks and seem fried or sautéed. Delicious! The broth was outstanding. I'm not sure what kind of broth it was. I'm assuming vegetable because the protein was tofu, but I would still ask. I loved how the herbs and fixin's were on the side. It came with cilantro, basil, onions, sprouts, lime, and jalapeños. All very fragrant and fresh. The sauces were also on the side! I added siracha. The price was reasonable and the portion was big! Update: they issued me a refund for the extras I paid but I still do not think this place is worth spending my money at Make the drive to What Da Pho instead of this place! Customer service was horrible and they always mess up something in my order! I paid $19.50 for this bowl of pho (extra meat and extra noodle) and the size was of a regular bowl. Instead of fixing the order they said I have to contact doordash (that is who they direct their online orders to, from their website). Definitely not worth the money and I will not be returning back. This is a quick fast-food/self-service Vietnamese restaurant... No complaints! The food came out fresh and hot... and the seafood fried roll they have on the menu is pretty interesting and tasty... I'd get it again! It had corn, potato, shrimp, crab, cilantro (and other ingredients I'm forgetting). I was pleased with the vermicelli salad and the large amount of pork that came with it. I prefer nuoc cham for these salads, but I understand serving a mild tasting sauce to appeal to more people. I REALLY liked the boba drink here. It's not absurdly sweet (which I often run into). Decided to stop in for lunch and try this little spot. Ambiance was fine for a quick eats type of place. Decor was nice enough as were the tables and chairs. Open view to the kitchen was nice though you could feel the heat from time to time. The service was pretty good for what it was - my only real interaction was giving my order and paying at the register. Food was brought out to my table when ready. My meal was passable. The crab rangoon was oddly shaped, tough to dip, and messy. Oddly there wasn't much filling or crab meat in the filling either. I wouldn't order those again as I have had much better elsewhere. The original egg roll was excellent! I could have eaten a plate of them and been satisfied for lunch. But then again, who am I kidding, I am here for pho right!?! Well the namesake "District Pho" was a bit of a let down. It wasn't actively bad, but it was great or even good either. My favorite part of pho is the broth and this just didn't have "it". The broth was bland and no matter how much I added to try to make it pop it just never had the umami wow that I associate with good pho. The pho ingredients were similarly fine - noodles, meat, veggies, etc but nothing really stood out. Overall I wouldn't pay this much for sub par pho again. We popped down to the green and we're driving around looking for dinner and saw Pho. It has been a long time, and these guys make a solid pho. They're also one of the few places that make the translucent, Vietnamese, non-deep-fried, spring rolls. We had to order about four orders of those. The staff is friendly. The business corners against cold stone, so there is a solid chemistry there. It is right in the middle of the green which means there's some good stuff right next to it. It is right around the corner from a brilliant bookstore, and just down a little ways from the Apple store. It's got a great location, great people, great food and we were happy to go there. read more

I am so happy this restaurant has opened in the Greene! We went on the first Friday they were open, so of course there were a few things that could have gone more smoothly. I had a bubble tea and we both had Pho Bo Tai. Very good and flavorful broth! Plus, they actually gave us lemongrass in our vegetables which is rare for Dayton pho restaurants. The pho broth had a yellowish tint, which made me think the pho here wasn't super authentic. Usually pho will have a clearer broth. The banh mi was good except they were a bit skimpy on the meat. 1. The server did not take our order correctly. We ordered two spring rolls, I had to repeat myself 5-10 times. She said ok ok. Then we only got one. Had to ask her over and over again to get the order corrected. 2. Was surprised by the pricing of Pho for the size we got. The prices were same as in Seattle, which was weird. I thought I ordered the large size (usually just small or large sizes available), but I got a medium size or even small. They have 3 different sizes apparently. She told me that after I got my ordered. 3. We dined in, so I was expecting regular silverware and dishes (as I've seen at many other Pho places), but everything we got was plastic. They make their own restaurant to look like a fast food place, when the food they make is usually best when dining in. This place is worth visiting! Best pho I've ever had. I got the vegetarian pho and the broth they put in it has a really excellent flavor. The veggies were really fresh, and the tofu was cooked to perfection. The portions were just right too, not too big like a lot of pho places will give you. Not that I'm complaining of course, I just feel bad about wasting food that doesn't keep well as leftovers. The portions here are plenty big enough to fill you up and also won't leave you feeling bad about the poor starving children in Africa. Their credit card machine was down when I came in, but I (cashless) was able to order for pickup on DoorDash for no extra charge. I later realized I forgot to pay for my drink (which they'd already given me) and I brought it up, but they insisted to worry about it. No doubt, the best pho I've ever had anywhere. Everything about the pho was so delicious and flavorful. I got the pho district bowl which came with sliced beef, meatballs, tendons, and well done flank steak. Service was fast and friendly. The broth was just exceptional, perfect seasoning and flavor. With the hoisin sauce and Sriracha added in, it made it even better. All the meat in the pho was delicious, and what really surprised me was the well done flank steak. It was almost like the tenderness of brisket and I loved it so much. Also enjoyed the tendons for it being cut up smaller than most pho places, so the flavor and texture was more enjoyable. The noodles were very nice and chewy, some of the best textured noodles in a pho I've had. Highly recommend this place if you love pho. Unfortunately, I'd recommend going elsewhere to eat. There are much better Vietnamese restaurants in the area, What Da Pho being one of them. The portion size relative to the price is kind of ridiculous. The first time I went, I got the pho with all the fixings and it was mostly noodles and broth with hardly any meat. For the same price, I can get a much more abundant bowl of pho elsewhere. I will say the flavor is still ok, but it's just not worth the money. The only thing that I tried from them that was genuinely bad was the fried shrimp appetizer. It was so bland and kind of burnt. I've gone back a second time to see if maybe the first experience was a fluke, and, unfortunately, it wasn't. Service is ok. They get the order right and don't take too long to get your food to you (probably helps that it's pretty dead in there), but the staff is fairly cold. The food here is decent, but not the best I ever had. We enjoyed the crab ragoon and the pho was pretty standard. The service was mediocre. I had added chili to my soup and my mouth was a little bit on fire already and we hadn't gotten our drinks yet. I'd probably come back on occasion and maybe even give a better rating, but I am trying to avoid places the use a lot of single use plastics for eat in customers, which they did. So I probably won't be back. I find it very wasteful; businesses should take initiative to make environmentally friendly choices....plus the "disposable" plastic pho spoons were a bit of a nuisance to eat with. Let me first say that my wife is Vietnamese so I've had plenty of Vietnamese food. The food here is some of the better Vietnamese food that I've had. I had the Banh Mi with chicken. It tasted very good with plenty of chicken and veggies on the sandwich. I also had the crab rangoon which came out hot with lots of filling. I've been wanting to try Pho District and finally had a chance today. I came in and got the #7, my usual, pho with steak. I was a little confused about the process as every other Vietnamese restaurant you sat and had a server bring your food and everything and this place you order at the counter. Other reviews I read said that they buzzed you when your food was ready but I had someone bring my food to me. Nothing wrong with that but I was confused to the process and nothing was communicated. I just paid for my food and he gave me a receipt and that was it. They have a section for fountain drinks and utensils to the side for your different sauces. There was only 2 sriracha bottles that I could see and 3 hoisin for all of the tables. Not sure how that works when it's really busy, it wasn't when I went in luckily and just grabbed it from another table that just left. From experience there should be 1 of each bottle at every table. The pho itself was solid with a good broth. Not the best I've had but very good. I'll try this place for sure in the future as they have banh mi sandwiches which I LOVE. read more
