Pho Ha is a family owned chain restaurant throughout CA. Not all locations taste the same. Some better than others. Pho Ha Plus is one of the top 3 locations IMO and the 'plus' is like an upscale modern version to the others. At first, the prices seem really steep. I get that it's inflation and CA. In the end, I realized, their prices justify the portions and meal size as well as service. Highly recommend. All the pho are $18, even the đặc biệt. The bowls are deep with lots of noodles and meat. The beef broth was flavorful with the aroma of all the spices. They really take the time into making the broth, creating soft tender meats. There are 6 vegetarian dishes. I got the lemongrass stir fried tofu with vermicelli. The wrong dish came out and they gave me stir fried lemon grass beef. Dang, that looked yummy and smelled so good! I finally got my corrected dish and I was so happy with it. Other places would have a ton of vegetables and herbs at the bottom of the bowl. With little noodles on top and finally the protein. I dislike that plating because i don't like to mix my food and I would end up eating only the noodles that was on top. It was also deceiving when you would receive mainly veggies. Well, at Pho Ha Plus, everything was proportional. It was not layered on top of each other but rather next to each other side by side. I saw my food and was able to include it with every bite. My mom got the broken rice charbroiled pork with bean curd. The pork met her high expectations. It was tender and had the smokey char marinated flavor. The bean curd was a bit tough for her dentures. Also got the passion fruit tea which had actual bites of passion fruit. Not too sweet or syrupy. They are also known for their 3 layer dessert which they do not skimp on any of the toppings. One recommendation I would like to suggest is to offer uncooked noodles for pho take out. I assumed and didn't ask. Was disappointed when I got home with wet sticky noodles and not fresh noodles. The reason for deducting one star to a 4. Overall, excellent food, large portions, attentive staff. Plenty of parking. I finally recently had the pleasure to have lunch at Pho Ha Plus in Diamond Bar. While I have been to several Pho Ha in Orange County this was my first visit at this particular location. The restaurant itself is huge and I was seated right away upon arrival. The first thing I noticed while walking to my table that there was a strong odor/smell of some industrial cleaning solution which immediately was a big turnoff. The second thing I noticed was all the big screen TV's above the tables and throughout the restaurant with different channels on each one which was pretty annoying since they all had the sound on. Ordered the Pho here since I was craving some Pho and was in the area. The Pho was good, as well as the service and ambiance. Plenty of parking in the large plaza. Prices I would say is more on the high side for Pho in the area, but worth it. I would go there again. read more

Came in on a rainy day for pho. We were seated right away. The area is very spacious and there is lots of seating which is good for big groups. We ordered 3 different bowls of pho, spring rolls, and a Vietnamese iced coffee. All the food we ordered was good. Our host/waiter could have been a little more welcoming in my opinion. It felt as if we were given the cold shoulder. And we had to try pretty hard to get their attention for the check. I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. One of my favies when in the area! I get the Pho Gá ( Chicken Pho) and Charbroiled Chicken Fresh ( not fried) Spring rolls- super fresh and not too tiny . They make a decent peanut sauce. Family ran pho restaurant with a lot of seating. Came here with my mom for dinner and there was a 10 minute wait for a table. Service was really slow but the staff apologized for the wait. We had to check in on our eggroll order since our pho came beforehand and we finished already finished it. Nevertheless, the food was yummy and my mom and I split the large combination pho. The eggrolls were very crispy and came with fresh lettuce/onions and fish sauce. Note that if you check in on Yelp, you can get 10% off. The broth was hot and full of flavor. My party of 3 got seated quickly because we came around 11:30, before the lunch rush. It was little hard to pay when we were done because the place was packed by then. We ended up getting back to work a little late. But, things turned out fine. I would recommend coming here when you have a little more time than an hour. Tables and floors were clean. I did have a mark on my tea cup. We have an early lunch at Pho Ha plus which is conveniently located at the same plaza with Paris Baguette. Service is quick as we were the second customer at 11:00am. We come to Pho Ha Plus a lot because of course it's toddler approved and if your picky 2-year-old is eating, we just eat whatever he wants to eat so he grows. Pho is kinda expensive because we can get cheaper pho in OC and Rosemead/San Gabriel but this is the closest one we've found to our house. It's also convenient and in a plaza with a Korean market and Paris baguette across from the cheapest gas stations in our area where we usually fill up weekly. The service is well, the staff is doing their best. They are usually low staffed so they are really running around trying to make all the customers happy - seating customers, taking orders, serving food, cleaning tables and bringing the bill. read more

You can just tell it's a local favorite by how packed it gets but the service was still quick and efficient. I ordered the pho dac biet, and the broth was super flavorful, rich, clear, and not overly oily. The meat was tender, and the portion size was generous for the price. They also gave a good amount of herbs and bean sprouts, which I appreciated. My girlfriend got the grilled pork with vermicelli and she said it hit the spot too. But what stood out to me was how everything just tasted fresh and well balanced. It reminded me of the kind of pho my mom would make. It was comforting, simple, and done right. Went here to lunch after a morning hike. Food was good but they were short staffed that day. It took a while to get seated, order, and get our food. They were pretty quick to give us our check and take out money though. I will probably give them one more shot before I shut them out for good. Give them the benefit of the doubt that I just happened to catch them on a bad day. But if my next experience is the same, the will lose my business for good. Horrible service! Many of the waiters have bad attitudes. When called, one waiter hand motioned me to wait and brushed me off to do some irrelevant task for a few minutes before attending to my needs. I only have good things to say about Pho Ha Plus! The luxurious atmosphere is great, and the menu is very expansive! I love how huge the portions are as well, and every meal feels well worth the money. I find myself enjoying something new each time! I especially appreciated how kind and helpful the severs were. We ordered to-go and they only gave us half the order. They usually put our typical order in one bag (combo fried rice and pho). We didn't think to have to check our order in the spot until we got home. We called the restaurant back and they claimed it was our fault that we forgot it. If that was the case, why didn't the cashier stop us? They only gave us one bag for the order and said thank you and we walked out. It's one thing to apologize, but to blame us for your mistake is ridiculous. We've been coming here for over 10 years and this was disappointing. In terms of the actual food, combo fried rice is always good even though it's pretty oily. The pho soup has this weird oily aftertaste. It used to be my PHO SPOT, but the last 4x I have, the service gets worse and the food quality has diminished. I drive over 30 miles to get here... Making excuses like it's COVID... The last time we came, our meat was still COLD.. bun thit nuong.. and they forgot our tau hu ky. We didn't even complain about the other items being bland or the bo luc lac tasting just like soy sauce and nothing else. We literally asked for the missing dishes 3x. This time, my pho was watered down. I ordered pho tai nam gan. There was literally 1piece of gan and they didn't even cut the thit nam. It was still in a long strip so it looked like a lot. They did give alot of tai, which is the cheaper of the meats. We literally spent 5 mins ordering the com bo luc lac and tau hu ky. The same waitress from last time helped us again. This time we had her point at the item in the menu and day the # to make sure she got our order. When our food came out, it was chaos all over again. Our smoothie shake was wrong... No boba no banana..for a strawberry banana boba smoothie SMH! Com bo luc lac was all soy sauce. Again, she didn't order tau hu ky. This time when I spoke to the MGMT he tried dating she didn't understand English. I let him know I ordered in Vietnamese. Then he said the kitchen is sometimes slow, I said they confirmed she never placed the order and the items she did place, she entered it in incorrectly. He stopped talking and started to apologize. I also explained that this is the 2ND time that she did this. Looks can be deceiving in pics. If you want bad service and mediocre food, then this is your place. Located in the Hannam Chain Market World Plaza where the old Bob's Big Boy used to be. Parking is very easy to find there. Service was a bit slow on the kitchen side and definitely seemed like they were a bit understaffed for how busy they were, but the staff was very friendly and quick to get dishes out as soon as they were ready. Ambiance was very casual and a lot cleaner than the regular Pho Ha. Since Pho Ha Plus opened I haven't been back to Pho ha. Now the food. The stand out dish for me was the bone marrow. Price was just a bit more than the pho dishes but it's was DAMN worth it. When the food came out my family and I were dumbfounded by how big the portion was.
