I love this place! It's a great go-to for my family and I. Some of my favorite items include rice plates, a lot of the appetizers, and the boba! There's so many good options and a lot of different choices for everyone. All of the servers are great and so kind. The overall atmosphere is so great and I love this restaurant! I definitely recommend!

Good flavor and service. Regular bowl was quite large. Brisket in the stew was on the lean side. Shrimps were large in the pho.

Located in a quiet shopping plaza, this pho spot can be found at the edge of the roundabout and has open concept seating and amazing food. The wait staff are incredibly sweet and took our order right away. My dad and I ended up coming here twice in a week because it was that good. Our faves are the special dac biet pho and the halo halo drink. It is a must try!

    Pho #15 with "5" meatballs

I've been coming to Pho Hoa for years and it used to be one of my go to spots, but lately the quality and portion sizes have taken a serious dive. The large bowl, which used to actually feel large, showed up looking like a medium at best. For almost $20, it was honestly surprising how small it was. I tried to make up for it by ordering extra meatballs since the combo doesn't include them anymore, which was already disappointing. The menu says you get five meatballs for $6, so I figured no problem. What arrived were tiny quarter cut pieces, basically scraps. Not even one whole meatball in the entire add on. It felt pretty frustrating. By the time I added the large bowl, the meatball add on, and tip, I ended up spending around $30 for a meal that left me feeling underfed and a little ripped off. It's sad to see a place I've liked for so long decline like this. Unless things turn around, I don't think I'll be coming back.

    Cracked TWICE

I've been a regular customer here for a while because the food is usually very tasty. However, I've had two disappointing experiences when it came to the customer service. Two weeks ago, I received a cracked bowl, and I pointed it out while paying, saying, "This is dangerous, what if it had ended up in the soup?" The lady at the counter just said, "Oh, okay," and didn't seem concerned. I wasn't too bothered by it and thought it was maybe just a one time thing. However, my next visit, it happened again... another cracked bowl. I mentioned it to the server, and he casually asked, "Do you want more soup?" I explained that this happened two weeks ago, and instead of understanding or offering to fix it, he brushed it off saying, "It's not a big deal." That disappointed me as his reply was dismissive. I didn't want the food anymore and asked for the manager, only to be told that the manager only comes on Saturdays. I went to the host, and they told me not to pay, but honestly, it's not about the money. It's about my lunch break, which is short and valuable. This issue has happened twice now, and it's very disappointing witnessing such neglectful and dismissive responses to the customer. Serving food in cracked dishes is dangerous, and not having a manager available during business hours makes it even worse. I didn't complain the first time, but after it happened again, I felt I had to speak up. I will not be going here again.

Yumm! One of my favorite Pho places! Great Pho, great rice dishes, and awesome vermicelli!! If you have picky kid eaters you can try the popcorn chicken bowl (sauce on the side) it's always a hit with my kids. They just added potstickers which we love! I have never had something here I didn't like. Please try the Banh Mi as well, sooo delicious! Best part they don't use peanuts!! This is a huge plus for our family. There is a ton of seating and you can just order on your phone for even fast food service! It is very clean as well. Make sure you stop by!

Ordered a milk tea here and I wish I selected something else. I ordered an original milk tea with boba. The tea tasted like it has cinnamon in it and the boba was bland. The service here was great though and it was fast.

R24 - Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop

Located in Crow Commons. Very interesting layout. The cashier stand is in the middle of the restaurant and on the side has individual eating booths like in Japan. It's also not the first time a Vietnamese restaurant sells boba drinks on their menu however, their decision of advertising jazen tea as its own entity is unique. We ordered: ~BBH - lacked spice and traditional BBH flavor. It also didn't come with pork blood like all the BBH I've had. ~pork chop rice plate - pork chop didn't taste "grilled", lacked lemon grass flavor, and rice was overcooked and mushy. (The pork chop with fried egg was the same price as grilled chicken with egg roll, so we asked if we could order the pork chop with fried egg but sub the egg roll and they said no) ~kids pho with steak - wasn't able to order the steak on the side and the soup wasn't that great. Overall, I appreciate the Vietnamese representation in San Ramon. But they have some work to do if they want more than the locals to come.

I came here with my friends and we were seated right away. Even though it's hot out, this place always has great AC and plenty of open seating, which makes it really comfortable. I ordered the vegetarian pho since I was in the mood for something light, and it turned out to be more flavorful than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised to see bún bò huế on the menu too--not every pho spot offers that! I'll definitely be back to try it next time.

Quick take: okay pho for Tri-Valley The restaurant is spacious. I liked how the seating was set up. Service was friendly and quick during lunch time. The pho broth is just okay. I do like that we can order pho and boba at the same time.

Probably one of the best Vietnamese pho places in the tri valley. Restaurant is clean and open. Food is prepared fast and neat. And the people are always nice despite being so busy. We order food to go often. They also have a separate counter in the back to order special teas.

The basil leaves looked very bad.

We arrived for an early dinner around 5 PM, full of nostalgia and high expectations...and left with very mixed feelings. We started with drinks and three appetizers to share. The pineapple spritzer was a great way to kick things off...refreshing, well-balanced, and not sweet which I appreciate. Our apps: - Crispy Shrimp and Pork Imperial Eggrolls: we re-ordered this. Tasty enough, but the portion size for the price was genuinely disappointing. You're getting a few small bites and not much else. - Shrimp and Chive Pan Fried Dumplings: The biggest letdown of the night. The dough on the bottom was thick and gummy, and the filling was completely bland.....no seasoning, no excitement. Pass. - Hoisin Barbecue Pork Ribs: The best of the three in terms of portion, but brace yourself -- these are an absolute mess to eat. I would not order these again. With mixed feelings about the food, we jumped straight to dessert, which is where the meal was redeemed. The burnt Basque cheesecake came topped with diced caramel apples and crispy strudel- one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Overall, this visit left us a little deflated. The appetizers underdelivered for the price, and it stings a bit on a sentimental occasion. That said, I'm still curious about their entrées. I have my eye on the whole catfish or their lunchtime pho.

Vietnamese restaurants are ubiquitous in the Bay Area, making it difficult to find places that really hit the spot. No fancy castle or horse-drawn carriage here, but I like how casual the inside of the restaurant is. The Princess and the Pea walked so we could run because there are a handful of comfortable seating arrangements. The interior leans more modern while still paying homage to traditional Vietnamese decor. Pho is great and all, but the Three Little Bears have found a new dish that's neither too hot nor too cold -- Bo Ne. Bo Ne is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and it's hard to find places that serve it. Even fewer places do it just right, making me feel like Goldilocks. I love the banh mi that comes with the Bo Ne because it has a thin, crunchy, flaky crust with a fluffy, soft inside that absorbs the sauce perfectly. The steak was tender and paired perfectly with the pâté, giving you that satisfying flavor that constantly has you reaching for more. Once you place your order, the food comes out super fast. No Big Bad Wolf here to blow your wallet down because the prices are affordable and the portions are large. Huff and puff as hard as you can, but this place is here to stay.
