Service is a bit rushed, experiencing a dining setting and mood is very important. Nevertheless, we had the Spicy Awesome Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll for appetizer. These came out within minutes, speedy service once the ball gets rolling, the presentation was very detailed and colourful. Our main dishes being Chirashi sushi and Katsu Donburi were excellent. Both were served with sticky sushi rice and vegetables. Overall the experience was "Good", I will need to return a few more times before I can really rate the full Tokyo Ichiban experience.

We arrived just after 6:30 and were told it was a 45 min wait but if we wanted to sit at the bar they could seat us right away. We decided to sit at the bar. At 7:20 my husband let our friends know we hadn't received our food and would be a while longer. At 7:43 I asked the manager how much longer our food would be, as we orderedover an hour ago.Once she came back from checking I was told our order wasn't put in until 7:22, which was complete crap! We were then told it would be atleast another 30 mins. There was no apology or offer to fix the situation. I was told I was wrong and we didn't order till 7:22. We got our drink bill and left. We will not being going back!

Staff assured us they would either cook her food first, or cook her food separately in the kitchen. Neither of those things happened, as the staff would clearly rather make an assumption that the allergy is false, proven by their disregard for food handling safety. Even before STARTING to cook our food, the chef CONFIRMED the allergy, and assured us he would keep us safe. Chef then proceeded to contaminate his entire cooktop as the meat was ninety percent cooked, at which point we had to refuse our portions of chicken. Our entire table was very verbal, asking "what are you doing, that lady is allergic!" when he used the citrus contaminated tools to turn our food as well. Then, to "rectify" the site, the chefs cooked another portion on the table we couldn't observe, which promptly caused my wife to get hives on her exposed skin and in her mouth and airway. We sent her plate away, three quarters uneaten, with sauces never used as the waitress refused to check the recipe. At the end of our meal, they had the audacity to charge us full price for our meal, even after this blatantly dangerous screwup was pointed out to the most senior staff by the head of our table. Only at this point did they offer any reimbursement/discounting of our bill, with NO APOLOGY. Will not be back, and I strongly suggest that you do not eat here either. Pretty obvious they do not comprehend proper food handling, sanitation, and customer service. Do not waste your money here.

Been dating a Sri Lankan for a while now, so I might be a bit spoiled with flavourful foods daily. So it was an absolute pleasure to dine somewhere that matches that and makes Authentic Biryani ("looks and tastes exactly like it does back home in Colombo, Sri Lanka" wifey said that after the food was brought out and she had a spoonful). Well, let me tell you about that Bison Biryani, these folks here didn't take no shortcuts with this one. Prepared it just as it's done back in South East Asia; no cheating, the spices, herbs everything was perfect! Long grain bismati rice, cooked over a low flame with crispy onions, tomato, garlic and ginger. Flavoured up with "The Butter Chicken Co" special blend of exotic spices, and served with Raita (cucumber yogurt dip) on the side. The lamb Shank Rogan Josh, Enough said, whew! This can be ordered mild, medium, hot or extra hot spiced! I can't even put into words how delicious this curry was; the lamb shank was literarily drop of the bone tenderly slow cooked and greatly complimented the curry it accompanied. (You would have to try it yourself, to even be able to remotely fathom what's going through my mind rightnow). The fettuccine and shrimp Alfredo, was just as amazing as the other dishes we ordered. The last time I had such amazing fettuccine was back in St. John's Newfoundland, at a little amazing local Newfoundland cuisine spot called "Bacalao". It's not often, we order a variety of different dishes; and have each one just absolute blow away our expectations above and beyond! But today, that was case and I'm still smiling here; taking it all in. Had their Vanilla and Orange Crème Brûlée, which didn't disappoint as well! The services was impeccable and prompt, some very committed folks work at this respectful and amazing establishment. Today, this evening, this dining experience was the absolute perfect ending to my first Sunday of March 2019. Following up she ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, meanwhile I opted for the bowl of oatmeal and ended up ultimate changing it to Jo Construction breakfast. My breakfast was bland, bacon felt like I ordered a side of bacon from one of the fast food places and even those are a bit thicker then the paper thin bacon I got. My fruits, awe yes the fruits; mostly weren't ripe, tasted off, my fiancé had strawberries/ blueberries that were mushed up, that had already started progressing through the rotting process, the melon tasted off as well. The breakfast sausages I got followed through on that off-putting consistency. And that's disappointing to me, I have eaten at some 10 different Coras locations with each and every one being consistently delicious, I visit each Coras with the expectation I am going to get that Chez Coras consistency from East-West Coast and vice versa. The lack of change in menu offerings or mastering what's offered at this coras location is just unbelievable. I have ate here about 5 times and each and every time has been worse then the last, never missing the point of disappointment for me and each party I have dined with. I got to give this location props on the downhill consistency, if anything I believe the dining experience is heading in one direction and maybe, just maybe, that is generally accepted as the norm now. I mean I could be totally wrong and there is no disconnect, which I highly doubt. I just don't know how a location that specializes in "Breakfast" can consistently go so wrong and totally miss the point and importance of it. As I mentioned above her fruits were just off-putting as well, with the berries being rotten as well. Imagine bananas just tasted half ripe, oranges tasting like someone ripped them off the tree licking that juicy flavour we're all used to. Coras in GP didn't do those fruits any justice! Neither did they do their meals any justice! Other then the service of the servers here which are always just perfect, the food here completely took this location off my breakfast map.
