There are a lot of delicious pho spots in the area, but what makes them special is the owners & their dedication to providing warm & stellar service, maintaining cleanliness, & most importantly cooking delicious food. We usually get the rib eye, round eye, or filet mignon pho, house special vermicelli, & egg/spring rolls. We have a vegan in the family who also really enjoys the veggie pho. Their chicken pho was also very new & yummy, but I can't stop myself from getting beef. Their house made chili oil is a must to add in your broth or dip your protein in. Smallest size is large, so be ready to eat! There's plenty of hot broth to enjoy your meal too. The rolls are crunchy & fresh every time. Their drinks are also really good: pineapple smoothie is my favorite for dessert vibes (perfect balance of creamy & sweet) & iced peach or passion fruit tea for refreshing vibes. It was our first time at Pho House when we stopped in for dinner. They're located in a strip mall which shares parking with Saigon Market. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we entered on Friday night, which was surprising. When we drove by another Vietnamese restaurant less than a block away, there was a line out the door. I ordered the House Special vermicelli bowl. It had a variety of toppings which I enjoyed. My husband ordered the char broiled pork plate with rice. The pork didn't seem char broiled and was more pan fried without any char. Same with the pork on my bowl. The server was nice. Walked in on a weekday night and it took about 5 minutes of standing by the front door to catch a glimpse of any employee. A line of other parties started forming behind me as well. I'm fine to wait, but a greeting to let us know they were busy would have sufficed. I was largely confused but it got sorted out once an employee finally emerged from the back kitchen! I ordered take out via Doordash. Their price from Doordash is the same as in store so this is the best. It was super convenient to pick up. When I came, the food was ready, and packaged. The packaging is normal, and tight. They double bagged the soup in case of spills. They used a tall, thin cup that perfectly snuggles in my car cup holder, preventing it from tipping over during my driving. The soup was hot and flavorful. There were 3 pcs of short ribs. One of the pcs didn't have enough meat so I would say this is equivalent to 2 pcs in other restaurants whose short ribs are bigger. The staff was nice and friendly when I came to pick up. Overall, the $14.99, I like the price very much. My take out comes with utentils, hoisin, and srirachi. The parking here is huge and ample. Overall I would come back for pho. read more

My husband and I came here for a casual dinner on a Friday night around 6 pm. Pho House is located in a strip mall in Lawndale, where they have several other Vietnamese businesses and some Peruvian eateries. We were seated immediately when we came in. There were a couple of other diners inside but the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the pho dac biet and my husband had the house special vermicelli. Although they specialize in pho, they still have a good variety of different dishes on the menu including vermicelli and rice dishes. We both enjoyed our food and it was also incredibly cheap. Service was good. The ambiance here is very casual, so it would be a good spot for a quick meal. A little mom and pop-type Vietnamese spot tucked away in a small strip mall off of Hawthorne. I came early in the day for a late breakfast. The people were super friendly, smiling and so accommodating. I ordered the Bun Dac Biet (House Special Vermicelli Noodles) which included grilled shrimp, charbroiled pork, egg rolls, bean curd shrimp cake. I came here with a friend on a colder October day as we were both craving something warm and soupy. We arrived at around 11:40 am on a Wednesday, and there were only two other tables occupied. We picked a seat by the wall with the mirror and were handed menus. My eyes immediately landed on the House Special vermicelli noodles (#9) since it was in red font ($14.99). From the description, it came with vermicelli, charbroiled pork, egg rolls, grilled shrimp, bean curd shrimp cake, lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrot and peanut (and a side of the sauce). The waiter (maybe restaurant manager?) took our order quickly and our food came out in 10 minutes. The vermicelli was a decent size. All of the ingredients were fresh and the egg rolls and shrimp cake were quite hot--I enjoyed the vermicelli very much. My friend, who got the House Special combination pho (noodle soup) and "L" size noodle soup ($12.99) joked that he didn't know what an "XL" size would have meant. He was satisfied with the size of the food given. There were plenty of parking in the lot when we went and as we left, the restaurant was a bit busier (with 6-7 filled tables). The TV screen was on and I recall there were low volume music playing throughout our meal. To pay, you walk up to the cashier counter--they do accept ApplePay as well. I recently stopped by here to pick up some dishes to go. I chose the Pho with beef rib bone and the #9 how special vermicelli noodles (bun dac biet). I enjoyed the pho, though the broth was not gelatinous the taste was hearty and beefy, just how I like it. The rib meat was plentiful and tender. The vermicelli noodles were pretty good but the accompanying fish sauce (nuoc Cham) was a bit bland and I had to add more fish sauce to it.
