We initially wanted to go to a different restaurant for dinner, but we had no luck with parking, so our second choice was this place, and we decided to give it a try. I personally do not fancy pho, and it is one of the dishes I do not want to eat, but I only come when I am asked by someone. Even then, I order things like a rice dish or something else. This restaurant is located off of Vermont Avenue in a decent-sized strip mall. Parking was plenty, so we did not have any problems with that. Once we were walking in, we spotted a couple groups waiting to get a table. No one greeted us, and we just sat next to the waiting groups until it was our "turn." When all other parties were seated, one of the servers asked if we were here before the other couple who came after us, and we nodded yes and waited another 15 minutes or so to be finally seated. My chair was super filthy, and I was holding it, trying to get unknown pieces off it, and the server just slid by to wipe it off. I decided to sit on the other side. Then we ordered right away and waited for our food. I ordered myself Crispy Chow Mein with Combination Seafood. It's one of those dishes that I tend to eat when I see it. I haven't had one in ages, so I thought I made the right choice. My boyfriend got a large bowl of special pho. It took forever--I mean, FOREVER--to get our food. I don't know why it took so long. It was very annoying. On top of that, my food was not good. There were tiny pieces of meat, for which I do not know why it was chopped so finely, so you can't say there was no meat. It looked like leftover pieces of meat that I wouldn't want to consume. There were many pieces of KD broccoli and three pieces of small shrimp. There was no flavor. It was bland. I didn't like it at all. I definitely had better at a pho restaurant in Gardena. Per boyfriend, pho was just decent. I tasted the broth, but what do I know? I don't like pho. He did say the rice noodles seemed overcooked because they were soggy. While we were waiting on our food, 3 different servers came by and asked if we ordered. I don't know how they operate, but things like this should be communicated within the staff and not asked of the customer three times. Can't this be easily checked on POS? I ate like one-fourth of my plate and just waited for him to finish his food. There is no customer service; you always have to wave to get attention to get water, for example. There were no chopsticks on the table; we had to grab them from another table as well. Super slow, no professionalism, and this one server really had a bad attitude, like giving me dirty looks every time she passed by my table. Came here with some friends and decided to have the Charboiled Beef With Rice (I'm not a fan of Phở, even though I've tried it countless of times in countless different places. The meat was seasoned to PERFECTION. I actually wanted to order a SECOND meal JUST like the one I had just finished having when I ate it. It was THAT good. Service was also great. Wow...We found another great Pho restaurant right in our backyard. Rarely do we travel towards K-Town unless we want to be sitting in traffic. Last night it was worth it! Pho Legend isn't the greatest looking place but the rest of the experience was great! The Bahn Mi was excellent! The grilled pork was so flavorful and the grilling added a new texture and flavor. A bit much on the mayo side, but it made the sandwich more juicy. I usually get just a bowl of broth to taste and it was also very good. A lot of flavor and not an overpowering type of flavor. The meat for the pho was tender and the noodles were thinner than what we usually find in pho, but worked out well. After reading some other reviews we thought parking was going to be an issue, but we came after 8 pm so there were plenty of spots open. Why does everyone in ktown lead me astray with these pho recommendations? Pho was below average, egg rolls were okay but the dipping sauce was abysmal. The dipping sauce tasted nothing like nuoc cham, way too sweet! Pho was very heavy on the spices, but not rich in beef flavor. The onions had a strange taste as well. I was happy that they provided me with a plateful without asking, but I wished they had hanh dam (vinegared onions). I came here for lunch at around 3pm on a MONDAY and this place was packed!! Despite being crowded, I didn't have to wait long and was seated within 5-10 minutes. The food was great but the best part was their PORTION SIZE. They have 2 different sizes for their pho - small and large. And let me tell you...the large IS large. It can easily feed 2 people. I started off with their fried egg rolls and legend rolls. The egg rolls were amazing - crispy and piping hot. 10/10 would get again. On the other hand, the legend rolls were good but not what I expected. I thought it would be similar to Brodard's nem nuong cuon. I also tried their pork with rice plate and their seared diced beef steak which were both so delicious. I highly recommend the beef steak dish! It came out on a sizzling plate and had soo much flavor. Parking is pretty easy and FREE! It does fill up quickly, but usually a spot will free up every 10-15 min or so. I'm very picky about egg rolls because my mom does them best, and they taste exactly like the ones I ate growing up. The price is reasonable. It really is difficult to find a nice authentic Vietnamese Pho place in ktown since its always "korean fusion" inspired pho. This restaurant has a generous amount of seats and tables and offers a plethora of food ranging from Pho, noodle, rice, banh mi, and dessert dishes. I got a regular sized pho which is perfect for me and they offer a Large option as well. You get a generous amount of onions on the side which you never really get at other restaurants! I was today years old when I found out that there's a legit authentic Vietnamese spot in the heart of Koreatown. We enjoyed everything that we ordered. For appetizers, definitely try the shrimp bean curd and spring rolls. They have a "legend" roll too which is basically the same as a spring roll but has meat in it instead. It's pretty busy during lunch time, so that's a good sign about the food. For our appetizers, we ordered fried eggrolls and crispy chicken wings. We ordered a combination pho with a side of beef scallion oil (nuoc beo) and hanh dam (pickled onions). We also ordered seared beef steak with onions on a skillet. For drinks, we ordered a young coconut juice and strawberry lemonade. Everything came out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious. There's indoor seating, but no outside seating. It was bunk! Pho was so mediocre! I got the beef broth and it was pretty lack luster. The onions tasted weird. The broth was strong in anise flavor. I the veggie egg rolls were bunk too. I ate one and left the other four. I spent 33 dollars and left most of my food on the table. They may have other good items, but this wasn't it. Also I sat at the high top.
