Ive been coming here for years when i feel a sickness coming on because i know their soup always makes me feel better the next day. Their food is the CURE. I always order the veggie pho with beef broth and a shrimp spring roll that comes with peanut sauce. their avocado smoothie is delicious as well as the thai tea. Pho Saigon 8 will always be my favorite Pho restaurant in Vegas! They are consistent at serving quality food and they do not play with their Pho serving sizes! Personally, that is always a plus in my book! I recommend getting their crispy fried egg rolls! It pairs well with the sweet tangy dipping sauce it comes with! The fresh spring rolls with a side of peanut sauce are also a great starter option! Honestly, their menu has a lot to offer and there is something for everyone. My grandma who is a very picky eater was able to pick something she likes, the Pho Hai San (seafood Pho)! She loved it! 1 Star - Very Disappointing Service Review for Pho Saigon 8 Eastern - 9055 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123 I ordered pickup through Uber from this location. Some of the food items were listed as part of a promotion and marked free, but not only did we get charged (around $18), we also never received the free promotional items. I called the restaurant and spoke with a lady who works there. Her response was simply, "I can't do anything about it." I explained that I had picked up the order directly from them, but she kept repeating that she couldn't help. As someone who managed a business for 17 years, I was very disappointed in how this was handled. Customers are the reason businesses succeed, and this kind of attitude pushes them away. I even asked if they could check their cameras to confirm the mistake, but she told me they don't have cameras--which is surprising in this day and age. My dish came with noodle separated from the broth, with the garlic and other spices just awaiting the hot broth to be mixed. I thought it was gonna be tasteless, but once I sipped that broth and mix, there was no turning back. I give this place a 5 because it meets all of my review points. It was mainly the bus boys provided the basic service, not her one bit. Quickly served by the others, we will say that. This restaurant is located in a big plaza with tons of parking available. [Service] As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. Busy, busy, busy!! You can go to a lot of trendy, expensive restaurants and not get food anywhere near this! The soups-all of them, are the ticket here. I'm stuck on the "rare eye-of-round and lean brisket " soup. Of course they have more than soups, try a chicken breast with rice , a small "salad", and a ball of rice with two egg rolls. Just for kicks order a small bowl of beef broth. The chicken wings with fish sauce sounds weird but are delicious if not over cooked. Having been introduced to this place by my mother several years ago, this and Viet Noodle Bar are my top two places for Vietnamese pho in town. And in this case, my mother and I went together to grab some much-needed warmth to get away from the cold! Our go-to favorites are the egg rolls, the seafood pho and the beef noodle pho soups. I tend to spring more for the beef than the seafood, admittedly, while my mother swears by the seafood... What we both can agree on, though, are that the egg rolls are divine! Served piping hot with a sweet and sour dipping sauce, pickled carrot and radish, and plenty of leafy greens, the egg rolls are the perfect way to start a meal here -- piping hot and full of juicy, flavorful pork inside, these are some of the best egg rolls that I've ever had anywhere in town. As for the pho itself, there's a reason I always get the beef pho. Layered with numerous cuts like rare eye round, beef tendon, flank steak, skirt flank, and brisket, all wrapped in a warm and flavorful broth... I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it! Combined with the rice noodles and the fragrant herbs, the pho was well-worth venturing out into the weather for. It's the perfect example of a food that warms you from the inside out. Not to say that the seafood pho isn't any good -- shrimp, crab meat, squid, fish balls... the entire sea is in the soup! And mixed with egg noodles and a flavorful seafood broth, it's little wonder that it's a hit with seafood fans like my mother. When it comes to Vegas winters, they can be their own beast because the above-freezing temperatures mean dry nights, which can pierce your bones in a way the wet nights can't. It's at times like this that one really needs something warm to enjoy -- and for me, there's nothing wrong with going somewhere to get delicious, warm food to help one brave the winter here. This use to be my go to spot, I normally order to go but it has not been the same since. Understandably the prices on their menu has gone up but my bowl of pho went from $11 to $17 in the past 6 years I have lived here. The service itself was fine in the beginning but they have this server/hostess at the door that is not the friendliest. When you pay, she is there watching how much you tip and if you don't tip a good amount that pleases her then she either either just tosses your bad of food toward your direction on the counter or just point at the bag and say says it's right there and won't bother passing your food to you. The guy that use to be at the door was the nicest but I don't see him there anymore and I never feel welcomed at all when she is there. And I'm not the only one that has had the same happen to as well when I tell my friends and family we are having Vietnamese food for lunch/dinner. I won't be going here as often any more and hope to find a place that is much more welcoming. It's right off the freeway too so also convenient to swing by By far the best thing they have is their che ba mau (che three colors). it's hard to find it this good anywhere else! I have tried bun Bo Hue (lemongrass beef broth), pho, banh canh with thick broth (pork broth with seafood and thick rice noodles), and bun cha Ha Noi (grilled pork). These are the must-try dishes here. They all are amazing. All the broths taste authentic, not too sweet or salty. I love that they are very generous on garnishments on to-go orders. I've been coming here going on 10 years now. When I first moved to Vegas, I did a huge search for the best pho and this place was it. Luckily, I lived in Henderson at the time so I ended up here a lot. No matter where I lived, I ended up coming here for pho. When my family moved to Vegas, they started to come here as well. There have been a lot of swings in terms of what rating I'd give this place. 10 years ago, it was 5 for food, 3 for ambiance. 5 years ago, 4 for food and 2 for ambiance. Today, 3 or food and 4 for ambiance. Steady decline in terms of food quality but the remodel has made the place look more modern and really nice. I still think the broth here is fantastic but I noticed the meat is not so nice anymore. The egg rolls are still amazing but the spring rolls... not so much. The service is exactly the same. A lot of attention at first but once you get your food, you'll be lucky if you can even flag anyone down for anything. read more
