Located on busy Steveston Hwy & No. 5 Road in Richmond, this Pho shop has always been on my "reliable" list of Pho places! Their standard and quality has always been very high & steady throughout the years I had been here... Highlight Items: Spicy Pork Hock Noodle Soup i.e. Bun Bo Hue ... not many places still has hunks of Pork Hock / Knuckle in their BBH, some even totally skipped it, while others offer some Vietnamese Pork Sausages instead, the BBH soup here is also very well balanced, and has a distinct lemongrass flavour. Great alternative if you want something other then Pho! Deep Fried Chicken Wings ... well marinated with a hint of garlic flavour & lemongrass, its deep friend to golden brown without any batter, love the lime dip that comes with it!! I can eat the whole order!! Staffs are always fast & friendly, free parking available.

Such good value, but stick to the mains! Appies just feel like an upsell without much thought put into them. The pho and vermicelli bowls were really solid and a great value - they are very reasonably priced for the big portion size you get. I would have liked a more complex pho broth and vermicelli sauce, but for the price I couldn't complain. Meat is really yummy, and I would 10/10 come here again! The applies though, felt just like adequate drunchy food. There was very little depth and were kind of just like a trip to the deep frier. A little bit more garnishing or thought put into the sauces would have been nice, everything is so plain. There isn't anything wrong with a classic lemon/salt+pepper sauce but the wings themselves were not good enough to carry the dish. Pretty plain, generic, deep fried wings and portions were not amazing for what you're paying. I can't recommend the wings or spring rolls unless you were really craving them.

A pleasure to visit here. VERY FAST service. Everytime I swear they have your food rrady in under 5 minutes. COVID order take out is around 10 minutes. Take outs do not offer small sizes. My favorite is the Tripe & Rare Steak Broth is flavourful and clean. They give you chili oil if you want to make it spicy.

Pho Ten is located on No 5 Road and Steveston Hwy (east of Ironwood Plaza). It has ample amount of parking. We tried a small bowl of Bun Bo Hue (spicy soup with round noodles and pork knuckle) and a large bowl of Tai Nam with rare steak and brisket. The soup base was flavourful. This place serve their pho with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno and lime wedges on the side. Food: Should Try! 4/5 Service: ‍‍‍3/5 Price: $20-$30 for two Presentation: 2/5 Parking: 5/5 Would I Return: Yes Explore the menu: Bun Bo Hue, Tai Nam Tips: * Has free wifi

is it a Pho Ten out of Ten? Meh... maybe a Pho Seven. I've tried this restaurant a couple of times throughout the past few years and it's no longer as great as I remembered. Service is friendly, but could be more attentive. We had trouble flagging down the servers because they were either really focused on something or weren't looking around. The menu has good variety, but you won't find a long list of pho options like some places have. Portion for the rice dishes are huge! But it is mostly rice (I think there might have been 3 bowls of rice). Don't get me wrong, I'm a rice girl. I'm petite, but I can eat at least 2 bowls of rice for dinner everyday, but I couldn't finish this dish. I've met my match! If I had to be picky, I don't like the fact that they use the Chinese spring roll wraps. Overall, flavour is solid. This is a good option for a dinner out with friends or family if you live around the area. If I had to choose, I think I prefer the Vietnamese restaurant next to London Drugs more.

My brother and I stumbled here when we couldn't find a ramen place that was supposedly close by. Since I was craving soup for my sore throat, I convinced my brother to just come here instead and he happily agreed. It was lunch time so I was expecting it to be a bit busier than normal, but we were able to get a table right away. After looking at the menu for a few seconds, I knew exactly what I wanted. My brother got the pork vermicelli and I got the hot and sour seafood pho. I was feeling ambitious, especially with the tickle in my throat, so I got the large bowl. I definitely should have just stuck to the small, because their portions are huuuuge. I couldn't even get through all the soup, which was a bummer. BUT, it was still very delicious. They even had a generous amount of seafood toppings (crab meat, squid, shrimp and fishballs), which I quickly devoured. On top of the vermicelli and pho, we ordered a few spring rolls which hit the spot perfectly. Service was quick and efficient. They originally brought out a different bowl of soup for me, but after telling them it was the wrong order, they were very apologetic and quickly made up the right order for me. No complaints here! This is definitely one of the better pho spots around the area and I'd happily return here for more hot and sour pho.

I love that this place is so close to my work. Perfect for a quick, good lunch. There's ample parking in the complex. Although everyone waits for a spot close to or in front of PhoTen when there's like over 20 free spots 30 feet away. It tends to get busy for lunch towards the end of the week. So pick up or come early, if that's an option. The staff are really friendly. Service is quick and efficient. The pho broth is really flavourful. If you're hungry, the deep fried spring roll is a good compliment to any of the pho. And the price is reasonable. As for the rice dishes, they're ok. If I crave pho, then this is the place I would come to get my fix.

Hot and sour pho, spring roll and vietnamese coffee.
    Holly L.

This little hidden pho cafe is really good. From the outside, it looks like a tiny place, but the inside was much roomier than it appeared. I ordered the hot and sour seafood pho which was perfect on a hot summer's day. The soup was tasty and there was no oiliness. There was a generous amount of noodles which I couldn't finish. Lots of shrimp and seafood too. The vietnamese coffee and the spring roll were also perfect complements. While the coffee was knock your socks off strong (a good thing), the spring roll was one of the best I've ever eaten. It was crunchy and yet amazingly light at the same time. Delish. I also noticed that the servers were very attentive and constantly refilled water.

I have had their pho, vermicelli, and rice dishes. Each dish is not bad but I'd definitely recommend the pho and the lemon grass chicken dishes. The only complaint I have is that they don't use broken rice that many Vietnamese restaurant uses and that the meat to rice ratio is 2:1! Way too much rice with not enough meat. Overall, decent food for a decent price that feels very home cooked and comfortable. Not the best but definitely one of the places that I do come back every once and awhile.

    Bun bo hue.
    Andrea M.

This place was surprisingly pretty tasty. The bun bo hue was delish, and my friend would agree. It was brought out fairly quickly as well. I felt like the bun bo hue was on the Americanized side since it lacked the blood, but that really didn't affect the flavor whatsoever. The large was equivalent to a medium according to Georgia size while the small would be considered an extra small. All in all, the food here was tasty. Parking was a breeze since Pho Ten was in a large complex with plenty of parking spaces.

    Lala W.

A big Pho place. The waitresses here are young and friendly, which makes this place more energetic. I ordered a large bowl. Not quite large, but it's totally enough for a girl. Yeah, I know. I'm a big eater, It's tasty and warmed me up, especially in such a rainy day. Probably I will come back here with my friends someday.

#17 small - Rare Beef Slices and Tendon ($7.20)

I waited on writing my review because i wanted to try the Trifecta of dishes that I need to deem a Vietnamese place legit. (1) Vietnamese Soup Noodle Bowl: First off, the broth is the bomb! Everyone's talking about it and it sure lives up to it! It's hot and rich in flavour - flavours of beef, onions, cilantro and it has a yummy sweetness to it, unlike the usual saltiness of most broths that leave you chugging water at the end of your meal. The broth with the rice noodles is a delicious combination with the lovely softness of the rare steak and gooey, melt-away tendon I had in my bowl. Fresh bean sprouts and the familiar squirt of lime juice just made it that more triumphant in taste. Conclusion: WIN in the soup noodle department. (2) Lemongrass Chicken Rice Dish: At first the dish looked kind of small, but it ended up filling me up to satisfaction. The chicken was grilled and marinated nicely, flavourful and didn't have a lot of fatty skin on it. The side salad was fresh and crisp. The spring roll was crunchy and had a good amount of meat and veggies in it. But two words: Broken Rice! I always appreciate and love it when a place serves broken rice with this dish. It allows more surface area for the lemongrass chicken flavours to stick on and the sweet, light fish sauce to soak up in. I always need to ask for more fish sauce.... Conclusion: WIN in the lemongrass chicken and rice department. (3) Banh mi or Vietnamese Sub: I don't know many vietnamese restaurants that serve this so when they do, I know I must try it! The familiar crusty bread was crusty and chewy but didn't taste as oven-fresh as some places I know. However, the insides were packed full of deliciousness! Grilled pork was soft and tasty, pickled cucumber, radish and carrots was crunchy and had a balanced tart/sweetness, cilantro (just yum!) and creamy mayo. I always find there isn't enough protein put in these subs, but it seems to be a running trend in all the banh mi I've tried. Regardless, for $5 you can't go wrong with this concoction! Conclusion: WIN in the Banh mi department. In addition to this place, plenty of free parking and the restaurant is clean and has an updated feel to it with its bright windows, black cushion benches and tables, and a flat screen TV in the corner of the restaurant. The washroom is relatively clean and has plenty of space. They take credits cards too, not cash only! Service can be a little hit or miss, especially during peak times but really nice servers. Overall my consensus is: 10/10 for Pho Ten!

Finally a pho place near our workplace so no trekking out too far to get my fix of lemongrass chicken! I came here with a large group for lunch. Ample parking, and a nice clean space. There are lots of choices on their menu, along with fruit smoothies-avocado smoothie, anyone? I got a vermicelli with lemongrass chicken and spring roll. This was quite good-a good portion of the vermicelli, lots of lettuce to mix in, the sweet sauce was perfect, and the chicken was not overcooked or charred like some other places. Quick and efficient service, I'm sure this is going to be a regular lunch place for us.

Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.

The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. Both liangpis which are cold chewy noodles were flavourful and had a great texture (I think I'd recommend classic if it's your first time!) What blew me away was the biang biang soup, the pork pieces were generous and the vinegarness of the soup was very unique. The paomo had vermicelli and lots of soaked bread pieces and lamb: much more gentle and lamb flavoured. They only take cash or debit. After I paid the bill and walked back to table, the waiter already took my leftover away which was an XL bowl with 3/4 left and of course I was planning to take home. I'm too tired to write the rest. They didn't apologize, didn't offer another bowl until I demanded it, basically didn't know what to do except said oh we already took it, with a blank look.
