Delicious! Enjoyed our milk tea bobas and bowls of pho. Sometimes you have to sacrifice the quality of drink when ordering at a restaurant, out of convenience, but they perfected both! I will say, the small bowl of pho seemed to have around the same amount of meat as the large. Large just had more noodles. The decor is super cool and fun! I came in today for a mid-morning meal and there was a table of two seated in the indoor dining area- with a dog..? This pup was not wearing a service animal vest or any other indication that it would be a service animal. It was barking at its owner for attention every few minutes and jumping up on its hind legs. If this dog is a designated service animal, it certainly wasn't acting like one. I found it annoying that the staff didn't seem to care or do anything about it. Having worked in restaurants before, I know that it's against health code to allow customers to bring non-service animals into an indoor dining area. I hope management realizes that not only is this against health code, it is a nuisance for the other customers there. I have been here multiple times and the food is good, albeit salty. The decor is really bizarre, as if whoever planned it was trying squeeze in as many Instagram-able backdrops into the dining area. I may come back in the future, but frankly am now turned off by the staff's lack of addressing non-service animals indoors. read more

Pho Thien Phat 2 is always my go-to for pho in Richmond. I usually order the pho dac biet but today I tried out the #4 which was great. The meat portions are hefty and the meat to noodle to broth ratio is perfect. The broth is so tasty that it doesn't need any extra hoisin/sriracha. Any dish from here always satisfies my craving for viet food. I also ordered the grapefruit and orange tea with crystal boba. It was very refreshing and the crystal boba was perfect. My boyfriend and I frequent this place for take out since their food is decently priced and they are closer to us compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. However, I'm not sure if this will continue to be our first choice for Vietnamese food. There is always a long wait to get your food whether you're dining in (pre-covid) or getting take out. We've tried multiple ways of ordering take out (in person, over the phone and online) and there's no difference - we always have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for our food even though there's only 1-2 small tables dining in and no take outs are done during the time we're waiting on our food. We purposely show up at least 15 minutes late too because we know the food won't be ready on time. Most recently, we ordered through ToastTab hoping that it'll be faster. Even after showing up 15 minutes late, we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for our take out to be ready. Food is good the majority of the time but the portions are not consistent (for example, we'll get 2-3 orders of the same thing and an order will have significantly more meat than the other). TLDR; decent food for a decent price but if you're in a time crunch, don't order from here. Expect an extra 15-40 minute wait depending how they're doing that day. read more

This place is LEGIT!!! Right off West Board St, this spacious restaurant has a great selection of not just pho but also other noodle dishes including Bun Rieu and broken rice dishes. There boba drinks are surprisingly delicious and the bobas are actually made fresh inhouse! (Pretty rare in this city.) As a person who grew up eating Vietnamese food at home and in the west coast this place is pretty close the real thing. Also the interior is beautiful! We order DoorDash from time to time when we're too lazy to go anywhere. We recently order from Pho Thien Phat and, man was it good! We're creatures of habit and usually stick to similar dishes: pho, noodle salads, soft spring rolls and crispy spring rolls. For this order we were true to form. I was thinking with delivery, there was no way the food would be hot, fresh tasting and extremely good. This is probably the best Vietnamese food I've had in ages. It was marinated pretty decently. I like it's a bit sweet, just how you should marinate pork chops and pork belly. I think the sweetness definitely complimented with the fish sauce and the fresh veggies. I wasn't a big fan of the egg rolls though, thought it was overly fried and the meat filling ratio was off and lacking some flavors. My sister got a large beef pho, and I decided to give it a try. The broth was very sweet, so I wasn't a big fan. Noodles were al dente and chewy, and the beef were pretty good quality and tender. The plus is that the sliced braised beef were still red in the broth, and it literally melts in your mouth when you bite it. Lastly, the shrimp and pork spring rolls was good, tasted like every other spring rolls at all Vietnamese restaurant, just that the portion is on the smaller side. Overall, food was good, but not great. Ambiance: 4.25/5 - This place is very aesthetically pleasing, huge and spacious with lots of hanging decorations such as flowers, lanterns, plants, etc. It is very beautiful and can see that the owner put a lot of time into the decor. It is very Instagramable place, however, it can get quite overwhelming, because I think there's a lot going on and kind of an overkill. But, I do like how this place is huge, so it is not loud and you can actually have a peaceful conversation with your date. Also, love all the sticky notes on the windows, and yes I definitely left one as well. Price: 4.25/5 - We got the spring and pork spring rolls, a large beef pho, and a grilled pork with a fried egg roll vermicelli noodles bowl for around $37. Portions are huge, and we both left with a major food coma, so it was definitely a steal. Service: 3.75/5 - Nothing crazy about the service here. We got seated as soon as we walked in, and get to pick where to sit as well. Our server seems to be a high school student, and I think it's the demographic for most of the servers there, so I think it's probably a family-owned restaurant. Service is a bit slow and lacking, and I needed to constantly ask for more water. It is understandable, but service could be slightly better though. BLUF: A great find in Glen Allen, RVA if you are looking for some decently priced and solid Beef Pho in the area with a lovely and beautiful ambiance. Recommend the vermicelli noodles bowl, if you do not like sweet broth Pho. Also, there is a boba and coffee/tea bar at the entrance, so give it a try. read more

The food is really good and i really enjoy the atmosphere. it is very welcoming and pleasing to the eyes. The drinks are fantastic, i recommend their snow Vietnamese coffee with coffee jelly! The service was okay, it started off strong, but when waiting for the check it was a bit of a hassle getting the servers attention. Just "okay" pho. What sets a pho place above other ones is the broth flavor and quantity of meat this didn't make it. So many noodles and a Lil bit of meat. Too many choices in the area for me to come back to this one. The place has high ceilings and open space so it can get loud. Let's dissect the visit: Service: Immediately upon entering the space, I was greeted by a staff member. He directed me towards a chair and was so pleasant. My waitress was so Incredibly sweet and patient with me when I was being indecisive about my drink. She even offered to make me a Tra Da when I couldn't fit it on the menu. She was super responsive and checked on me the perfect amount of times. Food: The Pho Tai was so exquisite. The broth was clear and sweet. That's how you know it's been cooked the right way. The tai in the bowl went behind your normal raw top loin cut. There were slices of braised beef that melted in your mouth. The only thing I took a star away for were their egg rolls. They were a bit bland and didn't have a a great balance of meat to veggies. It was good, but not great egg rolls. Ambiance: .5 The restaurant itself is so cute. First off, the decor is beautiful. The staff is very helpful with explaining the menu. Their smoothie teas are amazing, very nice texture and flavorful. The beef on broken rice was super delicious along with the ferminated/pickled veggies it came with. The soup that comes with it is good as well. My sis got the noodles with beef stew which she really enjoyed as well. Not pictured, but my bro got deluxe fried rice which he said was good too. I got the Thai tea and it was so so good. Located right next to the New Grand Mart with plenty of parking spaces available. The interior is somewhat oddly decorated but not unpleasant. It was just rice, diced onions, carrots and peas and very plain. For close to $13 dollars I was expecting something more, maybe fried tofu? I asked what was in a drink and just got an "I dunno but it's popular". I ordered it and LITERALLY didn't get it for 45 minutes. For a drink. We also ordered 3 dishes and mine came first, then my husbands 5-10 minutes after. 20-25 minutes later... we're still waiting on some Chicken Fried Rice for my kids and we'd been sitting there for well over an hour. I had to get up to make a stink and was told it would be another 20 minutes. I told them to cancel it and then was told it would be 5 min. Honestly, I hate leaving bad reviews but this was such a bad experience tonight. I wish them the best, but I will absolutely not be returning. PS. I almost felt discriminated against?
