My tutor Maria was absolutley great a pleasure to work with and she helped me with being back in a class room. I found some of the class room acitivites hard including some of the activities especially the business plan. I loved being on the Fork Lift Truck and my instructor Imran helped me out iron out my bad habits from previously working in a warehouse, so that I could get back to par. Phoenix training services is a shocking company and really am shocked that they are allowed to trade. They tell the jobcentre it is a 4 week forklift course, but it is not. The jobcentre will send you there and you will lied to by their staff from the start! First you do an English and maths assessment, but this is just so they can claim more money because they do not use this information for anything! If you are not suited to the course they do not care , you are money so they will put you on it and continuously threatened to have your money stopped by the jobcentre if you don't complete! Then you will start a 2 week employability course which will help with your CV and job applications, are very well but 2 weeks? most places get this done in a day! Then you need to do a 2week warehouse course and wait 2 weeks for your certificate, (so they tell you, but the certificate actually take months!!) then they call you to attend an open day where you go to speak with the forklift instructor but this can be 3-6 months down the line so how is it a 4 week course?? and when you raise the question they just turn away, trust me I worked there and cannot believe what they are getting away with! something needs to be done. read more

Phoenix Training are a very incompetant company. They are in no rush to put anyone through their FLT Licence, and are not interested atall in the progression of their students. they will trick you into doing a 4 week course on how to pick up a box??? then they will make you wait 3 months with no correspondance and no reply to any phone calls made. Overall i have waited 13 months to get this licence and am still waiting, ive had no certificate for wasting 4 weeks of my life doing a poor warehouse and storage course. The staff have bad attitudes and use the fact that you want a FLT licence as a power trip where they do nothing but threaten you with taking you off the course or stopping your benefits. There must be an easier way to get things done, rather than taking bad attitude off a bunch of staff members who have no interest in helping people. They show comtempt for their students and efficientcy is not a word in their vocabulary. If shoulder shrugging and not giving a toss was a sport, they would be No1. read more
