They're always under-staffed and the few members of staff there are usually on the phone or already talking to a customer. Once you get to speak to someone however, the staff here are excellent. They know their products inside out and don't try to get you to sign up for services or phones you don't want. I went back to complain about a fault on my iPhone and the guy I spoke to not only helped me get it fixed, he helped me get a £45 credit added to my account. Now, that's what I call customer service!

(Sadly they're spending more money on these stores rather than improving their awful mobile signal) The store is pretty cool, it backs into the Imperial Arcade however you can only get into the store opposite Churchill Square, on their Western Road entrance. Pretty much average new-format O2 store in most regards, the staff seemed nice and helpful enough. They did have some offers on display but these were more expensive than other networks who had locations nearby such as Three a few doors away and Vodafone a short walk away, who both offer Unlimited everything for £20 per month (the Vodafone offer was after cashback, however), while O2 was charging a higher price for less data 3* - Pretty much average store, yet for one of the worst networks in terms of signal, albeit I don't want to let the latter effect a review which is of course for the store and not the specific network.

I went in to this O2 then, under duress, and only because they have the great and mighty iphone. And....I was impressed! The staff greeted me straight away, let me browse a bit and then asked if they could help. They gave me several options for the iphone, weren't pushy and explained all the differences in technology clearly without being patronising. I may have to revise my opinion.

Of course, its busy, and there isn't all that much competition in a town the size of Burgess Hill, but I wouldn't honestly be able to recommend this store. The goods they sell are fine - great, even - but with phones the level of customer service after purchase is crucial, and I didn't see much great service going on, which is a shame.

Only thing is, the iPhone is a whole different ballgame and it's very hard to do the switch, even though I am obviously a valued customer to the Vodafone Corporation. Apparently I previously gave a 5 star review. I've had to…read moredowngrade to a 1 star review because of fraudulent activity. They denied a 2 day voucher return from a tablet bought in Crawley because the product was too damaged. The damage in question was a hairline scratch on the side frame of the tablet. They confirmed that my receipt said it was bought in Grade B condition. Apparently a scratch that isn't even on the screen, and requires a strong light source to be visible, is too damaged for them to accept. According to a young man who refused to give his name but claimed to be the manager, that wouldn't be sold in his store at all, not even as grade C. This is a scam performed because the tablet in question is difficult to sell as it has an out of date OS that can't install apps or use the internet anymore. Individual franchisees protect themselves by refusing returns from other franchisees as they don't want to eat the cost of stocking something they never wanted to sell or having to pay to ship the item back to its original store. The idea that CeX acts as a monolith chain is fiction. Treat each store as an individual store and don't expect a promise from one store to be upheld by another. I would like to add that their behaviour was professional, but the blank faced lying about the condition being too poor to accept for return means what seemed to be professional behavior was actually blatant trolling. Oh and I did get my return. I went back to the original store, Crawley, that I bought it from. Purchased a more appropriate tablet and it was quick and painless. It was a lovely day out and CeX Crawley earned their 5 star review. Edit: Also these pictures are out of date.

Georgio's offers some reasonable prices on its internet usage (50p for half an hour sounds alright…read moreto me) and is surprisingly spacious inside, with a little booth for international calls as well as a back room for any internet users. They even stock up on cheap snacks and sugary drinks at respectable prices so any long hall visitors can get their sugary intake. Of course the main thing that Georgio's Mobile Phone Centre is based around is mobile phones. And their range is extensive, and while I was there, I saw heard them explaining about the unlocking procedure for phones, which all sounded reasonable enough. However, so far as prices were concerned, I was not particularly impressed at all. If your selling or buying then by all means, give this place a look, but you may find that CEX is going to do you a better deal. Still, for other phone bits and bobs, and for a short spell online, this is the place to go!
