While the office is small, their staff are truly mighty. During my nine months in the program, I switched therapists and was then seen under Barbara Z. This switch (read: she) made all the difference. Not only is she the owner of the practice, but really a pioneer in some of the methods used during my care. As one of the very few places that accepts insurance, and will help you with billing if there is an insurance uh-oh, I truly want to see this practice survive. I have been seen there for back and knee issues in the past 2 years. The therapists are universally thoughtful, thorough, upbeat, encouraging, innovative, and firm but kind. I tried two other PT offices in the Columbia area and felt the care was impersonal and harsh. The therapists here really listened to my concerns at every visit. Physical Therapy Partners is a PT office that is small and yet very deep with their skills. I have had physical therapy a number of times for a variety of issues. I have found the 2 therapists that have helped me to have very broad and yet very deep skills. The therapist has worked with me for the entire hour (not just 10-15 min after I've done exercises). I have some complicated issues. I started with Barb Zabriskie for pelvic floor problems and transitioned to Susan Hull for my hip and lower back challenges. My range of motion and strength has improved significantly. Doctors that are also very helpful are: Tola Fashokun for pelvic floor issues; Nathan Yokel for my hip and knee issues; Howard Richard for pudendal nerve. read more

I have gone to PTP on and off for many years and every therapist that I have had the pleasure of working has been awesome. I have recommended them to many people and they have all been just as pleased. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and never keeps you waiting. I like that you get a full 50-60 minutes with a therapist. Some practices have you work with do a bunch of exercises on your own and you only see the PT for 10-15 minutes. NOT at PTP---a full hands on exercise for entire session. Exercises may be assigned for home. Office staff extremely helpful and friendly too. read more

I really loved this place! Just to say up front the ONLY reason that I gave 4 instead of 5 starts was that they don't take CIGNA which is my insurance provider :-( I went there for a special service that only they offer and I was VERY pleased that I did despite the fact that they didn't take my insurance. I submitted out of network and did happen to have the insurance company pay for some of the expenses though. And to note, their prices were fair. As far as the service, physical therapist and office staff goes - BRAVO!!! I would highly recommend them!! They were very nice and helpful, but most importantly, they solved my problem!! Amazing. So glad I went to see them! I am hoping that as they grow, they will consider accepting my insurance because I would definitely like to return there again if I need to. read more

I started with Tina in mid March and was amazed at the progress I made in just a few short months. She also made sure that each visit was packed with information that was easy for me to retain and take home because I live 1.5 hours away and could only come once a week. The office staff is wonderful and very professional and Tina is a wonderful, professional therapist and I am still using all that I was taught while in her care. This is my first experience with Physical Therapy Partners and there is nothing negative I can say about it! The front desk staff is super friendly and efficient making every effort to accommodate scheduling. My PT was Barbara who is by far the best PT I've ever had. She is very knowledgeable and was constantly tweaking and fine tuning a very specific plan for my needs. In addition she is very friendly and personable. I have already given her business card to a few doctors I've been consulting with so they can put PTP on their radar for other patients that could benefit from their services and specialties. I am a runner. I began experiencing knee and achilles pain to the point where it was difficult to walk for a few days following a run. Tina was recommended because she's a runner. Tina was very knowledgable and understanding. She was patient and compassionate. I took a one-month break from running to focus on healing by working with Tina on a weekly basis. I left every appointment feeling better than when I came in. Tina provided me with exercises to do at home that helped strengthen my muscles and improve my flexibility, balance, and core strength. Tina gradually added running to my routine. She provided guidance to assist me in determining when to increase the distance. During my final appointment, Tina reviewed all of the exercises she provided and suggested exercises and stretches that I should include as part of my regular routine. When I completed my physical therapy I was running five miles three to four times a week and felt confident that I could get back to adding a weekly long run of 12-15 miles in time. This place does things right. Highly recommended. A few times over the last few years I've needed physical therapy for back and neck issues, I've had the most success with this office. Some physical therapy offices shuffle patients around and you feel like you are on an assembly line. Not here. The physical therapist takes time and focuses on each patient. I can't say enough good things about Physical Therapy Partners! When I started physical therapy there, my pain was a 9 (out of 10) and I had limited functionality in my shoulder and arm. Not only am I fully recovered, but it was a life-changing experience. I learned more than I ever imagined, over and beyond what I needed to do to complete my physical therapy. I have gone to several physical therapy practices over the years, and Physical Therapy Partners is by far the best. I would never go anywhere else for physical therapy. The therapists are highly knowledgeable and take a personal interest in the client. They work with the client throughout the hour-long session and are excellent diagnosticians. I just finished my pelvic floor physical therapy program with Barbara Zabriskie at Physical Therapy Partners in Columbia, MD. Barbara was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, sensitive and caring. I am amazed at how much progress I made through the course of my treatments. Barbara explained everything very well and provided handouts to take home. The office is neat and clean. I have been to this practice for two issues one was a womens health issue and I saw Barbara and Tina. Both of them were amazing! For something that is such a private problem I felt very comfortable with both women and they feel like friends almost immediately. I went later on to Tina and Laura when I had issues with my hip both of them were great and payed their full attention to me at each appointment. I did my home exercises everyday and of course it payed off I have never been better or more confident about myself thanks to these wonderful people! read more

The office staff is very irresponsible in terms of the communicating with insurance and the patients. They didn't send in claim correctly, they mailed letters to wrong address and finally reported you to the collection agency! But it is actually their fault of the wrong claims and wrong address!!!!
