Just one-on-one time with an incredible physical therapist. I met Dr Jung after 2.5 years in pain (about 14 months of severe sciatic pain) that left me with pain-based scoliosis. Standing or walking for more than 15-30 seconds was incredibly painful and I couldn't stand up straight. Had seen 3 physical therapists and 3 chiropractors over those 2.5 years and none knew what to make of my issue after several months of treatment. Dr. Jung was kind enough to call me on his own time after work one evening and assured me his experiences could likely assist. Dr. Jung has a kind and compassionate presence along with wisdom from years of hands on experience and tons of training. When I had back pain recently, my doctor recommended physical therapy, I went back to Synergy. I am just as impressed now as I was six years ago. The staff is very pleasant. They care about your recovery. The quality of care is excellent. What I like most it that they stay with you while you are doing the exercises to make sure that you are doing them correctly. The office is very clean, and the equipment is up to date. Once I finish physical therapy for my back, I am going to start physical therapy for my ankle.

I actually loved going to therapy even though I knew it would hurt doing it, because the people who worked there were so knowledgeable, supportive, and encouraging, beginning with Tiara the receptionist, who always greeted me with a warm smile and inquiry into my well-being as soon as I walked in. Very warm and genuine, you knew she really cared. Meg Barr was my main therapist and she was a wealth of knowledge, having earned her doctorate degree, as have many others at Therafit. Meg was always coming up with new exercises and methods for getting my ankles to stretch and move in ways that they had forgotten. Always upbeat, she was very thorough, from taking measurements in order to actually show me my physical progress every few weeks to coming up with new effective exercises often disguised as play or games, to designing my custom exercise program I could do at home, letting me know she would continue to be available if I had any questions or needed any help even after I was released. No two therapy sessions were ever the same or boring, thanks to Meg and my other therapist, Hunter, a good-looking red-headed guy who gently challenged me every single session but always had me laughing about something with his wry humor and observations about life as well as personal funny stories. I never could decide which of my 2 therapists was my favorite but was convinced I somehow got the two best therapists not just at Therafit Rehab, but in the whole state. However, I am sure the other therapists at Therafit Rehab were equally as qualified and as good as Meg and Hunter are. Even the other patients seemed to me to be a cut above normal, it is such a warm and welcoming place. Everyone you encountered there felt like your own encouraging, loving, caring family. On my first visit this week I wore a mask, as Joanne had clearly informed me that they were still required. Fine. However, on my second visit, I reached for mask from Joann and and Chris said, oh she doesn't need one, she'll be in the small room. When the assistant came to get me ready, she asked for mask and I said Chris said since I would be in small room, I was ok to not wear one. Wednesday 25 May 2022 I showed for my third session. I was welcomed to the small room and given heat on my shoulders. When timer went off, Jess came in and gave me the plastic to begin workout. He directed me to put it AROUND the DOOR KNOB, and I inquired if this was safe--fearing it would get loose and snap me. Jess then directed me to put it around the door knob on the other side of door and closed it as he walked away. I Inquired why I was getting such subpar service and he commented, "Well, when you agree to wear mask, you can come out." Mind you, I never once refused to wear mask. Is this how catonsville PT treats a patient, a repeat patient? I felt so insulted, I informed Joann to cancel my remaining appointments. Now here I am, halfway through the six weeks the doctor scheduled for my return: one week I waited to get on schedule. One week I worked successfully with Chris.
