I am using Physician's Weight Loss to get rid of my Covid-19 weight. This is my second attempt at weight loss. Last time I was on this program, I lost 40 pounds. This time on my first week, I have already lost seven. I highly recommend this program. For me, it has been the only program that has actually helped me to lose weight. This location is under new ownership. The new staff is just as good as the last. They are extremely supportive. It is so nice to have someone rooting with you when you lose weight. This support is what keeps me going and sticking with the diet. I only have one negative observation. The staff is always wearing masks that don't fit them and most of the times their nose is not covered. I am really attuned to this because my husband has pancreatic cancer and I don't want to get Covid-19 because if he gets it, it may be fatal. I met the owner of this place at a class my daughter attended and she's positive and friendly. Loves to help people reach their goals and works hard doing it. She's fabulous. I'm going in to get an evaluation soon. I am actually reviewing to offset the poor review from the gentleman up there that wants a controlled substance to lose weight. Phentermine is only for use for a few weeks as it stops working after that. It's for obese patients. 190 is not obese. Diet and exercise is what you need to lose weight, as you know because you gained it back again. You cannot rely on drugs to keep you losing weight. You are responsible for that. Your review should have been a 5 Star as they're looking after your best interest. The side effects of this drug is not worth it. Can someone tell me how promoting anorexia and other eating disorders to people who already have disordered eating patterns is legal and ethical??? Sure, I lost a TON of weight. Sure, I lost it really FAST. But did I keep it off? No. Did I gain more than I originally lost? YES and then some. The only thing this place helped with was decreasing my positive body image, increasing my need for therapy, and showing me how NOT to help an already vulnerable and marginalized population. I started this journey 19 months ago at 252lbs. This was my last chance since every weight loss program I had tried before never worked,except for short term. I was not sure this center was going to be any better. Right from the beginning Gina and Alana made sure I was followed with weigh in three times a week. I am a FL. "Snow Bird" so I was sure the first summer would see me gaining back the ten pounds I had lost. It didn't happen. With a remote scale and talking about my program every other day,while I was in CT. Stay far away....broken promises and terrible, unhealthy eating plan. This clinic wants over $900 for a diet plan and then recommends the same nutritional advice every time you go in. Have some more yogurt....have another egg. This is the advice I received. Don't even try the supplements that are over $20/box. This clinic is a complete rip off. read more

I normally don't write reviews but in this case I felt I needed to. With my weight slowly increasing to 210 pounds, I felt I need to take action for my health because I had just turned 40 and we all know the older you get the harder the weight is to take off. About 4 years ago I had reached an all time high of 225 pounds and was prescribed phentermine (at a weight loss clinic out of state) to help me curb my appetite and the results were astronomical. Within 3 months of taking phentemine I had lost about 40 pounds. So I knew that this product had worked and had rapid results with an active lifestyle and a change of eating habits. With my belt notch getting tighter seemed like a constant reminder that I was slowly getting heavier and needed to do something about it. My wife and I live in Mizner Park so I googled weight loss clinics near me and Physicians Weight Loss Center popped up. Located at 1952 NE 5th Avenue Boca Raton, I thought this was perfect considering it was right around the corner from where I live. I called to inquire about their programs and what they had to offer. The lady I spoke to was very nice and she insisted on coming in to discuss possible solutions. Upon arriving i filled out the paper work and mentioned to the nurse about my previous experience with phentermine and how I loved how fast the medication worked and that was the route I would like to take. She agreed and began to explain that the total cost would be 429.00 for the blood work, the EKG and a one month prescription to phentermine and I think 160.00 something to fill the prescription once I had run out. A little pricey from my previous experience (out of state) but I said to myself this is Boca and decided to give it a shot. Keep in mind everyone was very nice on this visit from the nurse who sold the weight loss package to the other nurse that took my weight, blood work and EKG. I was told the results for the blood work and EKG would take about a week to determine if I would even be healthy enough to take the medication. I thought It was a little strange that I never spoke to an actual doctor on this visit but I just shrugged it off and accepted that was the way they operated and that I would speak him/her upon my arrival to pick up my script. I paid my bill, said my goodbyes and off I went. One week later everything was a go. I called to see if my results were ok, and was told to stop in. Visit number 2 was very quick. I stopped in, gave the nurse my name, she handed me a little piece of paper with my prescription on it and was told the doctor was not in. Very strange at this point. How does a doctor write a script for someone they had never met??? On my way out I was told to call to the office to refill my medicine when I was running low. A month went by and during that time I had lost about 10 pounds. I never once had a weekly check in or chart or follow up weigh in that I had to do in the past at a previous clinic. Although was pretty happy with my results I was still not at the target weight I desired to be at. I want to be between 190 and 185. Instead of calling in my script I decided to stop in. A different nurse assisted this time she looked a little frazzled because it was a slightly busy at the time. She asked how she could help me, then took me into the back for a weigh in. I inquired about speaking to a doctor and I was told that the doctor was away for about a week. I asked if I should comeback when the doctor returns and she said "For What" . I said "so the doctor could fill my script". She began to tell me that the doctor would not fill my prescription because I weighed in at 198. I explained to her the weight I wanted to be at, and she went on suggesting about buying a different package. I told her that I wanted to continue with the phentermine because I knew the results. She said "No" and we parted ways. Please note that I am not mad about this ordeal, I just feel deceived. You shouldn't sell and promise some a product or result with no intention on coming through. I was very skeptical about going to a weight loss center as I've never been to one before. However, I needed to lose a significant amount of weight. When my primary care physician referred Physician's Weight Loss Center in the 5th Avenue Shoppes, I knew it would be a safe bet to at least go for a consult. Needless to say, I was beyond pleasantly surprised. I called ahead for an appointment. I spoke to Donna who is the owner. She was super sweet and very professional. There was no judgement (which you'd think should be a given, but that's not always the case when you need to lose a lot of weight like I did). I felt like I was just talking to a friend... so much so that I gave her a huge hug at the end of my consult. The pricing was very reasonable. The staff is wonderful and ON-TIME, which I'm grateful for since I have to be in and out quickly for my follow-up visits during my busy work days.
