The Physical Therapist, Christian, introduced himself, led me to the examination room, asked questions, and checked the area in my body needing therapy. He explained to me how performing some exercises would help strengthen facial muscles and ease pain in skull bones. I learned a lot, and didn't regret that I was taking the time to do this. Started even believing that the therapy would help me. I was told that I could come back at my own convenience, and there was no pressure for signing up for additional services or visits. As I was leaving an other customer was commenting on the great quality of patient care. Location was clean and not too huge, but pleasant. You can also purchase different types of support items like insoles for shoes.

This will be my second review and I look forward to writing it. Advance Physical Therapy Marietta…read moreis placed at the top of any PT, or Rehab I've had. Being a Veteran I have had a lot of issues while on active duty and since. The staff here are very professional as I have said prior. But more than that, they're very knowledgeable and are able to answer questions I have been asking at the VA. Earlier this week I mentioned being told (about 6 years ago) that I was too young to have a knee replacement. It was never explained by the doctors I asked at that time what my age had to do with a knee replacement. I mentioned this to Alex, because now I'm told I need one and a double one at that. He explained in a manner that I could understand over possibly ten years, I'll need another because just like anything that is used over time it needs to be replaced and that would be another surgery. That was clear, easy to understand and made logical sense. Jackie the intern has been amazing. She's being trained by an expert in Andrew so wherever she goes her clients along with whatever clinic she finds herself at will be very appreciative of her knowledge and hands on approach. Great personality and learning from the best she'll go a very long way. Lalah is the baby of the team. I say she's in kindergarten because she's just starting out with school and training. Again, being trained properly goes a very long way and is important when working with the body and being able to answer the questions your clients ask. Understanding what the body did once upon a time and having to readjust can sometime be depressing but at this facility your growth and healing gives you the confidence you need to make those adjustments. Basically, you tend to leave smarter than when you walked in. Now the Main Person is Patty. She's fantastic. I say that because she has puts up with me having to change my days constantly due to surprise calls about appointments at the VA. She always has a smile as though it's no big deal, while I'm feeling bad because of the constant changes. She makes the changes and keeps that smile. For others this may seem minimal or not important but for me, it's very important to know that I'm not trying to be a pain in the butt. When advised by the VA about a week ago that more PT was needed and given the option of driving to Decatur or continuing my treatment here. I chose to remain here. I see progress and that's what matters to me. They are a family and treat the clients like family. We're total strangers when we first start therapy, but I promise by the time you leave, you have made new friends, found out about a new store, or new music, and new movies. Basically, you're not the same person when you leave as you were when you arrived. Being new to Georgia and then the pandemic, at this facility, I've met new people, been given the name of a great VA doctor, found out about a Kroger's that the size of a super Target, the names of local parks, and a great French Bakery. This is long post I know, but there's so much positivity it's important for me to let them and the public know this is an A+ facility and they do a job well done. GREAT PEOPLE PROVIDING GREAT CARE and with a Smile! Thank you gang and Jackie and Lalah, go save the world!

I'm so so grateful for their warm professionalism and how far they go above and beyond for their patients. Happy healing!

Tony Fox is the BEST physical therapist you'll find here in ATL. Even if I didn't live intown, I'd…read moredrive FAR for this level of therapy and support. His expertise/wisdom is based in years of experience and his manner is patient, focused, and proactive. I've seen him for various issues related to shoulder/arm dysfunction, and he's focused on long-term health, mobility, and strength. His relaxed nature allows him to connect easily with patients. Recently, I've needed weekly manual support and dry needling to prepare for an intensive fly fishing trip, and he's been as passionate as me to help me heal and prepare. I've had dry needling with various PTs in Atlanta, and there's something to be said about Tony's approach -- that he teaches other practitioners on the weekends speaks to his incredible skill and knowledge.

The treatments were helpful from the initial session through the very last one (I did 5 weekly sessions to begin with). Not only has he reduced the discomfort, clicking, and cracking in my jaw, but systemically he's helped my neck, which led to improvements in my posture and by extension, gone is the shoulder pain and discomfort I've lived with for several decades. Tony's unique combination of needling and muscular release, and the simple strengthening home exercise routine he gave me, created an experience was greater than the sum of its parts. Tony not only improved the functioning of the joint, but recommended simple but effective lifestyle changes (making my workspace more ergonomic for example). All in all, his work has not only impacted the problem I went to see him for, but has had overarching positive effect on my day to day health. The last thing I'll mention is that he was incredibly effective at communicating throughout each session (and at the start of the session in reference to the work he had done the session before). He was invested in knowing how each component of the therapy felt, in the moment, and long term. He was sensitive to not only communication through words, but also body language. I found that some of the sensations defied being put into words, and in those moments he helped me bridge the gap through his extensive experience as a therapist and educator in the field. Run, don't walk, while he has openings. You won't recognize yourself in a month's time.

Sports Rehabilitation came highly recommended to me by a family member; unfortunately I found my visits to be entirely worthless. I visited at least 6 times. In fact, after most appts I felt worse than I had when I got there. Many times during my appointments a student in training worked with me under supervision of another therapist. (For what it's worth she seemed to care more than the actual therapist. Also, I have no problem with students in training). When the therapist who I'd had the appointment with actually worked one on one with me he frankly seemed uninterested and like he couldn't wait for the appointment to be over. In fact, on one occasion he left early because it was the end of his shift, and on another occasion he literally put on his coat at the tail end of the appointment and said goodbye and left me in the hands of another therapist to put a heating pad on my neck. He truly seemed like he could care less about me getting better or finding out how he could help me. The final straw was when he realized I didn't have any more appointments on the calendar (I'd already decided I wouldn't be coming back by this point) and he tried to encourage me to schedule some more appointments and for the first time gave me some performance empathy...it was obvious to me he wanted me to do this not because he thought he could help me or cared, but rather because he wanted more appointments on the calendar to make quota. Very disappointed with my experience and I've already made arrangements to go elsewhere. Maybe I just had the wrong therapist, but I was really turned off completely from this rehab center.

I went in for PT due to a torn rotator cuff beginning in March after Covid hit. Kirsten was my 3rd therapist assigned to me (4th week) and I'm so glad she was! She was great! The other two PTs only provided exercises, Kirsten provided the manual work on my arm that I desperately needed in addition to the exercises. I couldn't use my arm for 6 weeks (in a sling). My arm had trigger points and pain up and down the arm, particularly around my elbow and under the arm near the arm pit. Each time I went she'd manually manipulate the problems areas providing tremendous relief. She was fun, pleasant and upbeat - great energy. I followed her guidance carefully and have full use of my arm and it was a massive tear. I highly recommend her.
