However, in the small outskirt town of Pozuelo there exist a small Italian restaurant that, in my eyes, measures up to being truly Italian. This place is authentic in its food and decor. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in an old world authenticity. With seating both inside and outside, this place offers a venue that is warm and inviting. But, with very limited seating ensure you make a reservation. The staff is very friendly and speak English if you need some help. Both our waitress and waiter helped us decipher the menu and choose the perfect lunch entrees. My wife and I enjoyed every bite of each dish. We ordered the biscotti breadsticks, the pumpkin sauce with penne pasta, and a mushroom based sauce with egg noodles. All was exceptionally scrumptious and each dish is a shareable portion (and that's coming from an American who knows about large portions). The price was right too, by the way. For the two of us with all that food and drinks we paid €45. Overall, this is a great place. We started with the octopus fiera, which was thinly sliced octopus seasoned and bathed in butter. It was outstanding, cooked right, not chewy. We had some empanadas fish and meat. They were both good, our daughter loved them. We also had a plate with steak, fries, and eggs. Sorry I do not know the name of the dish, but it was great. The meat was tender and seasoned well, the fries were a little oily for my taste, but the egg brought it all together. We finished with the French toast dessert. It was not bread as much as it seemed like a custard with a sugar topping, it reminded me somewhat of a creme brulee . Either way, it was divine. Great food, great venue, great service. We've had everything from sushi to noodles and from sweet and sour pork to dim sum. It's all good. The only issue is that it is all a la carte. However, they make up for that travesty by having a €12 lunch menu. This menu includes an app, a main dish with rice or noodles, a drink, and a dessert. Not too shabby. The staff is exceptionally nice and will accommodate you if you only speak English. The service is fast and efficient. Also, the seating area, unlike most restaurants in Spain, is very large. There are two bathrooms, boys and girls. They are usually clean and have multiple utilities. However, be careful in the boy's bathroom. There is a direct line of sight from the waiting area to the first urinal. Overall, it's a delicious and convenient place that my kids as well as my wife enjoy. Go and try it for yourself. Enjoy!
