Weaverville is a historic gold rush town. I stopped by this candy store. This shop was full of sweets and some nostalgic cash registers and weighing scales. They sold shirts and some apparel, unique goods and made in America souvenirs. Aside from seeing all the vintage candies (Pop Rocks, Bottle Caps, Charleston Chew, 5th Avenue, Tootsie Rolls, etc) they had a little section with lots of... yup! stickers! Yay! I grabbed one for my collection. Cool store with lots of cool souvenir merchandise. Had we explored this way first we would've dined in their eatery for lunch and order an ice cream cone for dessert. They stock some hard to find plants, and plants that are hearty to the mountain winters. Their plants are always healthy and growing, not dehydrated and dead as you would see at the big name nurseries. Staff is friendly but not overbearing. They also have a large selection of bagged soils. Prices are decent. I always end up walking out of there with at least two new plants for my garden.

Bought a CBD Vape, opened the packaging last night to find it was broken, leaking. Went back in…read morethis morning to get an exchange for another product or a refund. Store has a sign that says no refunds so I'm happy to exchange for a different kind. I ask the worker if he's able to exchange, he says yes, but only for the same brand and type and per him, "they've all been arriving like this so not sure if that'll help." I clarify he knows the product was broken and he sold it anyway, and he's says, "yeah, I'm losing money if I don't sell it." I told him that's a shitty business practice to sell broken product to make up his loss off the customer and refuse exchange for a working product or refund. He was adamant he couldn't do anything else, couldn't even take accountability for poor business practices. Will never shop here again and know if you do- owner is ACTIVELY screwing over his customer base.

The attendants were very friendly...and it was wonderful chatting with them. It's not a big store but they sure have a lot of different ways to incorporate "Weed" into the various souvenirs. We spent more than I expected but had a lot of fun. If you're in the area it's worth a look.

The shop does carry actual bird supplies like food and cage accessories, which are located in the back section of the store. The front two sections are gifts, art, and home goods, while the second to back section is full of toys and kid's stuff. The art and bird themed gifts were so cute. You would have to look at the pics or stop by to understand. My older sister is super into birds, so I had to look around at all the books and things to see if I could find anything for her. They also had tons of really cute/well-made bird art stickers and local Mt. Shasta souvenir stickers. If you or someone you know loves birds, I highly recommend checking this shop out.

I asked to speak to the manager but was told he was on vacation and that he was not going to be of any help on assisting me with this matter. I asked why and I was told by a second employee that this behavior is viewed as acceptable by the manager. I am choosing to write a review so that everyone knows what could happen if you are planning on stopping by. I will never return and I will advise others in the area not to do so as well.

The Redding Garden of Lights at Turtle Bay's McConnell Botanical Gardens is just on the other side of the Sundial Bridge. The stunning display features over 10-acres and one million colorful lights. So many pictures moments! Not only did we enjoy the gorgeous display of lights but also the accompaniment of synchronized HOLIDAY MUSIC! Not to mention the selection of FOOD TRUCKS, BEVERAGES,Beautiful FIRE PITS, and delicious S'MORES! This is a Christmas Holiday must see! Note: No dogs allowed.
