So I went in there and order two slices of pie one slice they were out of so they told me to get a 6 inch and the pie was dated a few days ago. But the young lady said they should be good six days later so I get home to eat it and it was dry and crumbly and tasteless. And I paid $10 for this never again I have had better pies at house of pies in the Woodlands. Better slices of pies and cheaper. read more

Why 4 stars? Because everything was enjoyable. --- --- --- We came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast recently and had a pleasant experience. When you arrive, there's a sign that instructs you to seat yourself, so we opted to sit outside on the patio since it was nice outside. By the time our food came, every table was full and while the two outside servers were definitely overworked, they were very friendly and did the best that they could. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and thought it was quite delicious. I do wish they could add some heartiness to it because it was comically thin. Still tasty, but thin. For "dessert" I ordered a buttermilk pecan pie waffle, which is essentially a very narrow slice of pie atop a waffle to combine the best of both worlds. This was very sweet, but probably a bit too sweet for me, as I felt a blood sugar rush for the next few hours, despite only eating half of it. Our toddler snacked on a pancake, which meant he pretty much just tipped his hand in the whip cream and syrup and then sucked on it. Parenting is fun! But the upside is that I snuck a few bites of the pancake and actually preferred that to the waffle. Lastly, we took a whole pumpkin pie home, which was very solid. I'd happily order a pumpkin pie from here for our Thanksgiving and I just might actually do it! read more

Have been there six times in the last two months love the remodel however, today was extremely disappointing... Service was slow to take our order, no offer of refills until she came to pick up our plates. The quiche was burned on top , the lettuce was wiltedand the cilantro lime chicken wrap tasted like a bottle of garlic had been dropped inside. I have frequented this location in the past with no complaints. The pie is the best. However, the breakfast was not up to par. I had the Down South Biscuits and Gravy. I think the biscuit was at least a week old. However, the gravy softened it up. The entire plate was pretty cold when served. I'll be back for pie for sure, but will skip the breakfast. read more

What a bust!! Second time here, and I wanted to like this restaurant, but I can't.. My boyfriend and I came after the brunch rush, so it's not as if being busy would be a good excuse for the poor experience we had. My order was totally wrong. I was starving, and the initial wait for my incorrect order was pretty lengthy, so I didn't feel good about getting this corrected. My boyfriend's grits were cold and they continued to forget to bring his jelly. Finally when my breakfast sandwich arrived, the side I had chosen was missing. Constant reminders from us to them. Oddly, you tip at the beginning of this entire process when you pay upon arrival, so.. not sure what that business model is about but it is not working out for the flow of this place. I used to live right down the street from this location, and while it's a convenient little place if you live in my old neighborhood, I usually would drive into town instead. While their cake balls and cookies as well as their cupcakes are very good, their pies have always been lacking what makes a pie great, not to say that they are bad, I'm just saying I've had far better and with pie being in the name I would hope it had better pie. Nice people though. Edit: I have decided to change my review from 3 stars to 1 star, I tried to say positive things, I praised several menu items, said the people were nice and gave my opinion on their pies. So my husband just celebrated his birthday and he doesn't ever do a traditional birthday, most of the time he wants a Thanksgiving feast in May, LOL. And I typically make him a cheesecake to go with it, however he changed it up on me this year. We made fajitas at home with everything rice, charro beans, green salsa the whole 9 yards, then he tells me hey, I want pie like a good homemade pie. I remembered passing the exit for this restaurant looking at the sign so I was like well I know a place. We looked through all the flavors they had to offer online and we ended up ordering the 9" Vanishing Blueberry( that's what it did, vanished) , when I went to pick it up the next day he HAD to go with me, since I had already paid online I left my money out in the car, so while we're waiting on the guy working the register, who btw was super friendly, to get us our order my husband decided he wanted to get a 6" Strawberry Rhubarb pie cuz we've never tried it...honestly we should have gotten the 9"and it was DELICIOUS!!!( we added vanilla bean ice cream to it at home)Now they are a little more pricey than the fresh made pies at the grocery but not by much. This will most definitely be my pie place from now on, so if you're looking for some great pie anytime of the year, go here!!! This was my first time here after attempting to come 2 other times. Each time I either missed it cause it was closed (they close at 6 daily, 3 on Sunday's) or because I didn't have a chance after my errands. But whew I'm glad I had a chance to come today! It was so worth the trip! My family and I ordered a pie sampler platter and the four choices we got were Key Lime , Strawberry cream, peaches and cream and apple streusel. DELICIOUS. The pie was sliced fresh for us, and every morsel was amazing. I also ordered a sandwich (Damien's turkey melt) and it was sooo good. Very flavorful, the chips it came with were light and crispy, the bread was whole wheat and really perfect. The inside of the dining area has shelving where you can purchase pies and the other desserts to take home with you. I opted to take home 2 extra cake balls, and a lemon shortbread bar. I can't wait to try them. My family also got extra cake balls to take home and try and we can't wait to taste them. It's safe to say as a new Texas resident , I will absolutely be back here and highly recommend! I definitely want to come back and have brunch/breakfast food. read more

I am probably not giving them a fair shake, but had a negative experience today. The chicken salad sandwich was room temperature as was the French onion soup. Perhaps my review was tainted because the half bay leaf I crunched on in my soup. The one pictured I was able to retrieve. However, I cannot praise their pie enough. We split a sampler, which is a heck of a deal. They also had all of our choices on hand despite it being almost close of day. If you haven't had it, try the bumbleberry. This berry blend would also make a terrific pie waffle. read more

It's been awhile since I visited pie in the sky, but that changed recently when I did two visits back to back. First visit I went out with my parents for lunch. Two of us ended up getting salads, kiddo picked the Mac and cheese, and dad got a soup. Last time I reviewed here my main complaint was speed, but that doesn't seem to be a problem now. All the food came out pretty quickly and it was all delicious. I requested that the kids meal come out as soon as it could even if it was before the rest of our plates, because my toddler was getting hangry. It came out pretty fast and I was very thankful for that! Second visit just a day later, kiddo and I popped in just to grab an iced coffee and cake ball to beat the heat. Service: the lady who took our order was nice and patient because we did have a couple kids who are younger. She was great but she did seem to take a long time in between visits to the table. Which can be a little annoying because we wanted to order dessert and then after placing the dessert order it took a while for her to come cake and tell us the pie we wanted wasn't available. Which was pushing the patients of our little people. Also when I was trying to pay my tab there were legit 4 people sitting at the front table and nobody acknowledged I was standing there. My waitress had to come over and take care of it. Which was a little ridiculous... Food: the food gets 5 stars! The potato soup was absolutely amazing, the pot pie was fresh with big pieces of chicken and vegetables! Everyone at our table was very happy with their food. We ended up getting the pie sampler, which was super cool and everyone was able to share and try 4 different flavors. Lemon, Mississippi mud, chocolate, and coconut (they were out of banana) so hopefully next time I can try that. Recently moved to Conroe and wanted to try some new places! Stopped in to this super cute restaurant to check it out, ended up sparking a convo with the waitress about weddings. I'm soon to be married in January and when I went to check out the staff brought me complimentary wedding cake balls!! So sweet and thoughtful of them! Came here with family a few weeks ago on a Saturday right before they closed. The service was friendly and helpful and I was super excited to try their food. I had a pulled pork sandwich for lunch which was delicious, yet a little smaller than I had anticipated and came with a teeny tiny side of coleslaw. The sandwich was on point and I was extremely satisfied with my choice. My husband had the French dip sandwich which was huge and also very delicious. We couldn't decide on 1 piece of pie, so we had two. We chose the coconut cream pie and also the apple crumble. While the coconut cream was pretty good, the apple crumble was the star of the show and came out with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pie in the Sky is an easy 5-stars for me. It's cute & quaint with indoor and outdoor seating, the staff was as friendly as can be, and the food was tasty. My lunch consisted of the Cuban sandwich with chips and a piece of peach streusel pie. I probably wouldn't get the chips again -- they weren't bad, but they tasted more like a thin rice cake than a potato chip. They weren't bad, but like I said I probably would choose another side. The pie options here are pretty limitless. All in all, I can see myself eating here often as it is located close to my office. read more

Sunday 3/13 around 10:00am or so- my husband, myself & baby walked in. It took about 15-20 minutes for us to be served or even greeted. We sat down and grabbed a menu from another table. Patiently waited but as time passed, I became confused as to why we weren't even asked if we would like water or any other drink. We were just stared at and waitresses passed our table about 10x. It was not until a staff member asked us if we wanted something to drink. I asked the staff member if we could go head and order our food since we've been waiting a while at this point. She had to grab someone else since she stated "she was new". We are from Houston TX visiting Lake Conroe area, but I will make sure family/friends do not visit here for a breakfast spot. I came in first time to see this place I had an eye on for so long . Ordered my burgers to go with everything on it cheese xtra onions etc . I was overwhelmed with the service of looks the ladies didn't have a smile on there face and wasn't so friendly to see another race come to the place full of white folks who seemed so nice no racism here but I felt out of place . I got my food no utensils I got the burgers and left went on to go eat with with my brother and the burger had no cheese no mayo no mustard and very tiny lettuce cut and tomato I was so disappointed. With this meal comes with voodoo chips didn't get that either as the menu said . Sad that I really wanted to enjoy the place for meals but don't mind me the burger patie was good but the presentation was bad and the environment of employees looked very unfriendly. Y'all can do better than this or change your employees. Eat here! The staff is friendly and the goods are all fresh baked! The waffle is delicious and the berries were incredibly fresh and sweet. I also had a mocha that was one of the best I've had in a long time. You get your food pretty quickly after ordering and it's fresh made. No reheated food or food that's been sitting. I sat outside on the patio with my 2 dogs and they were very welcoming and didn't mind my boys one bit. The outdoor seating are is very nice and always kept clean.
