Then there had been one on top of a defunct restaurant in Vidal Junction, CA for a long time, but it was gone by the time we drove over there. Searching for "giant chickens" on the Internet, I mostly found images with no locations but finally under "giant fiberglass chickens" I found Main Street Collectors in Hesperia. Since we were en route from Joshua Tree to Los Angeles, it seemed might handy. Although we found the first Yelp review disconcerting, we decided to trek over there. The two fellows we found working there were polite and friendly and very knowledgeable about the manufacture and customization of fiberglass statues. They had even created the chickens displayed in Acton and Vidal Junction. They also had a nice selection of reasonably priced antiques so my sister bought a nice little poster with a red rooster on it, to tide her over till she can afford to invest in her very own giant chicken.

It was always fun perusing this store for hours to see if there were any knick knacks worth buying. I love the bright and quiet atmosphere. Staff was friendly and nice. I will miss Joann after they close its doors. My fondest memory is when I brought my two daughters (when they were little) here for a painting crafts class that took place over a course of several weeks. This store has a large parking lot and is in the same shopping center as PetSmart. They're also in the same neighborhood as Sprouts. They sell arts, crafts, tshirts, fabrics, sewing items, knitting and crocheting items, faux flowers, gifts, licensed items like Minecraft, Super Mario, some anime and more, they sell seasonal decorations based on the season (Christmas, Autumn, Summer, Spring, etc) they have birthday items, household items, resin, resin molds, earrings and earring making kits, and so much more. It's a nice store but can get hectic (with long lines) during the holidays. Overall the cashiers and employees seem friendly.

There are a lot of misplaced items although the whole time we were there the employees were running past us with hands full of items to put back so at least they're putting in the effort to keep it organized. The sections that hold the clothes are so narrow, only one person can fit at a time so if you're next to someone and want to pass them, you have to go all the way around and enter on the other side. I imagine this is due to the small size of the store but I could see this being a nightmare when they're packed. The dressing rooms are awkward and a bit dirty. They have no AC running in that area so changing clothes felt very uncomfortable as the temperature hit you.
