Pier Park is about a mile away from where my wife and I stay for the winter in Panama City Beach. They have a wonderful Mardi Gras party parade and festivities for New Years. Some great restaurants like Angry Tuna and Ford's (Get their Pilled BBQ Happy hour special, $13 for a spectacular sandwich and fries and a beer) The stall workers barking at you are annoying, but harmless. Cool Ferris Wheel and a movie theater and a nearby Target and Wal-Mart. We go here often during the winter and there are even places across the highway if you want a liquor store or some more great restaurants. Love it! Some of the chain restaurants can get tourist trap pricey. read more

Definitely a must stop if you're looking for a great shopping area while in PCB, it's a little touristy for me but there are some unique shops and restaurants. The city was installing some vehicle barriers and pedestrian railings and the streets were barricaded in preparation for the Iron Man Competition scheduled for weekend. If there were any negatives it was the number of solicitations for local time-share properties, we must have been approached more than a 1/2 dozen times offering coupons and gift cards to tour their properties, they were a little aggressive and approached everyone who walked by and didn't know the definition of "no thank you" - I don't know if this is normal or they flocked here because of the upcoming event, for this reason along I give this location three stars... read more

We visited here last year during my Spring Break and I'm looking forward to returning in a few weeks! We came specifically to ride the SkyWheel but there were lots of colorful stores and restaurants to visit as well. There were plenty of parking places to choose from. The view from the SkyWheel was amazing! Pro Tip: Buy your tickets online. I think there was a promotion that included admission to other attractions at the park that ultimately saves you money. It suddenly feels like a tourist trap instead of a wonderful place to visit. The vendors on the sidewalk yelling at us trying to get our attention to sell us something. Loud music and cursing with the cars cruising - I get it - I did it but excessive after 5pm. The restaurants were not the best - we walked in and out of several . Eastbound store was clean and friendly . Overall - no need to go back, was looking forward to an upscale outdoor setting for the week - well guess we will just go find the local spots to give our money to them. read more

Pier Park GM and security are getting kickbacks from White's towing. They enjoy towing cars not illegally parked. I was told by the operations manager only these Supervisors can authorize towing cars. They towed 30 cars during the military air show, no " no parking signs" and "no tow away zone" signs. So they said all 30 cars were parked illegally. I doubt it. It was an overflow lot. I videotaped the area and there are no signs. Boycott Pier Park- they do not support the military or community. $200 to get your car out, cash only. They are corrupt. They don't care about visitors to events. It also takes 2 hours to leave there during events, they cannot move the traffic flow fast enough. Ask anyone that has been there during events. Beware of parking here-your car could be towed!! We parked in what appeared to be an overflow lot( for the air show) which is common at special events, but our car, along with 30 others were towed. There were no "no parking " signs, we just got to the lot and our car was gone. We had no idea who took it or where it was, just stranded there. I am a local, and will never shop there again! Definitely a big tourist attraction in PCB. My friend apparently never has been to PCB which shocked but, even I never been to Pier Park myself and it had been 10 years since I been to PCB. We came here for a whole different purpose, more on that shortly. Parking will definitely be a challenge, plan accordingly. We just got lucky. We got to do a lot of walking and explored many shops. I definitely liked the candy store Called I love Sugar, they are definitely creative with their products. I can't do much sweet stuff anymore but, it was cool to see. There are also quite a few places to choose from to eat at, we definitely didn't know there was a Dicks Last Resort there, had we not made plans to eat elsewhere we probably would've went there. There is also a Back Porch and Pompano Joes Location sister to Destin locations there. We checked out the Pepper Palace where you can sample different hot sauces. I shouldn't have gotten too adventurous, I did end up overpaying for a vending machine drink. Now to the reasoning for being there, other than going to a restaurant and other places in PC/PCB. I had learned that there is a bench for Shirley's Way with Shirley Mulrooneys name on it just across the way from Pier Park. As many from back home in Louisville Kentucky May know, Shirley's Way is an organization that raises money to help cancer patients pay their bills. I did get my picture taken with the bench and that to me was an honor. I have my own story of a loved one I lost to cancer but, I won't share that on this review, you can reach out to me personally. The whole purpose of coming to Pier Park was for Shirley Mulrooney and her bench, apparently you can have a bench placed on the pier with a loved ones name on it which I think is cool and a great way to honor someone. Afterwards, we walked the beach of PCB. Just as beautiful and the water is just as cold as Destin beaches. Pier Park has everything for everyone of all ages. I would definitely recommend avoiding this place during Spring Break. We came after but, I'm sure it's crazy during Spring Break. read more

Such a good place for family time, dates, or even just being by yourself. There are so many restaurants and dessert places to choose from. It's the perfect spot to support local businesses. There's just so much to do! -Dave and Busters -Ice cream dates -Movie theater (which has really comfortable seats) -Coffe shops -Candy shops -A lot of retail shops for clothes, gifts, and souvenirs Not to mention, the beach is RIGHT THERE so it's a perfect stroll to access it. Pier park is a massive outlet mall that feels like it takes up Practically half of Panama City beach. The outlet mall has all of your normal mall heavyweights and mainstays. It has a few trendy Restaurants and bars. Several ice cream shops (I counted at least 4), local beach shops, an outdoor activities that features axe throwing, trampoline bungee and a massive Skywheel. On our vacation we found ourselves at pier park almost daily or nightly either shopping, playing, eating or filling our sweet tooth at the ice cream shops here. Parking surrounds the whole place so plenty of spots. That said the place is supper popular and very crowded. Especially at night. So you may do some walking from the parking spots. Overall very nice outlet mall with plenty to do and see. A nice Change up from spending all day at the beach and pool. read more

Pier Park offers a nice experience for those looking for a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences at the beach. There are several main anchor stores and restaurants as well a variety of little tourist trap shops in the walkable area. We enjoyed going into the little shops and seeing what they had; mostly made in .... gifts with the PCB writing on them, but there were several unique gifts we were able to find. We also visited the Mirror Maze while there and had a great time running around in there. But the main reason we stopped is for beach parking, Pier Park offers free parking right across from Dog Beach. Very convenient when going to the beach and when you are tired of the hot sun you can walk over to Pier Park to cool down with a margarita or other cold beverage of choice. read more

I was living in Panama City Beach when Pier Park officially opened and it has been fun seeing it continuously grow, expand and become the thing that PCB is known for, second to the beach of course. Pier Park stretches from the ocean with a fishing pier to the other side of Back Beach Road. It features hundreds of retail shops/restaurants, some chain and some local. On the Back Beach side of things you have the spots such as Target, Walmart, Dick's, Chili's, Marshall's, Shoney's, Jersey Mike's, etc...but the closer you get to the beach, the more touristy/local the spots become with places such as Dick's Last Resort, Back Porch, Kilwin's, etc...If you aren't after eating or shopping, you can always grab a movie, get a pedicure or massage at Pier Park too. Additionally, Pier Park is home to a few carnival style rides that were pulled from the Miracle Strip Park that used to be a thing a little further down on Front Beach Road. In addition to the shopping and eateries, Pier Park plays host to a lot of things that happen in PCB from NYE and 4th of July Fireworks to local parade routes and concerts. Overall, while I am not a frequent visitor of PP during my visits outside of the Target, Pier Park is a welcome addition to the PCB scene that freshened and livened up the options the beach had to offer. Did it bring a whole lot more people and traffic to town? Yup! But did it also bring a lot more to do and a lot more money to the local economy? Yup Yup! If you are a local, it's a necessary evil, and if you are a tourist then it is a welcome reprieve, albeit a potentially expensive one, from days at the beach. read more

Pier Park its a must visit tourist area in Panama City Beach FL. To be blunt there is nothing amazing to it because basically it is another themed outside like mall and you come here to shop, but nevertheless it is a nice area to walk off Hwy 98 and the Russell-Fields Pier. Pier park hosts many restaurants one of them that I wanted to try is Paula Deen's family kitchen, hosts the legendary Ron Jon surf shop, cinema, skywheel (ferris wheel), ropes course (next to the skywheel) among other epic tourists shop. Pier park also has a kids outdoor play area and plenty of lil amusements to see. read more

We visited Panama City Beach, FL for a family-in-law vacation here and stopped by Pier Park the first night we got here. We ended up partying it up at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and they had great deals and an awesome band. Pier Park has a wide variety of retail, restaurants and bars that seem endless. It even has a Margaritaville and a Dick's Last Resort, I was so upset we didn't get to go there since I only thought there were Dick's up in Las Vegas. The pier itself here is very nice - it's great to walk out over the water and relax and feel the wind blow by, watching the waves, and just kinda forget about your troubles for a while. The park itself, especially the front area, is basically designed for tourists, and while we have come here, we tend to stay away from the more touristy areas / tourist traps when we come down. There are lots of shops and restaurants, plenty for everyone. You can find something for anyone - though you might be waiting a while and / or paying more for it at certain places. It also has your staples for everyday life such as Walmart and Target. The back of the park is where most of these, and your more traditional eating such as McDonalds are located. There is also a movie theater located there if you're just dieing to catch a movie while on vacation. Parking can definitely be a pain, and the traffic is a nightmare. Just be sure to plan ahead on that if you're coming into the area, especially during busier times of the year. read more

We always have a good time here. The grounds are clean, security is always around. We have never seen any major issues. The ONLY draw back.... BATHROOMS. They are spaced very far from anything and not enough of them. They need to have them on every block. Other than that, be ready to spend hours walking around and this place is great for kids. From 1 to 80 yrs young, this is a place to see, shop, eat meet up and hang with friends. If you're in Panama City Beach, this place is a must. Come early and be willing to spend some time. There's a lot of shade and places to sit in case you want to rest and cool down. Almost everyone is not wearing a mask and social distancing, but I guess the mask mandate lifted in Florida. Went there twice this week. Main road stores(near Target and Marshall's) were "dead" with virtually no one shopping. This area was the same last year. Back area stores near the beach were packed with people. Almost not fun to walk do too the amount of people. This area would be far better if they closed the street so that the local rednecks driving back and forth playing vulgar music and racing their engines would go elsewhere. We drove to Panama City Beach from Destin, Florida. We were in the mood to explore and happen to stumbled upon pier Park. We had been in the car for awhile and were looking for a place to stop, and this was the perfect place! We were excited to find another pier to explore. Not only did we get a pier, we got several restaurants and shops to check out! We did a short walk through the park complex, and it was just enough walking to get our legs stretched out before heading back to Destin. Within this complex, you will find several places to eat. There is another Margaritaville restaurant, as well as several boutique shops with sunglasses, ice cream, and souvenirs. Across the street, you will find more of a casual atmosphere with some small bites, as well as entryway to the pier. This peer was a bit more expensive to walk upon. It was either four dollars or six dollars per adult. Definitely worth it. Parking at this complex was free--that was definitely appreciated! The bathrooms here were semi-clean, and it was a perfect place to stretch our legs and check out some of the tourism in Panama City Beach. read more

The Pier Park area is a fun place to walk around and shop boutique and mall stores. It's like an outdoor outlet - only better. There are plenty of eateries and nice boutiques to check out. There is something for everyone... Wear walking shoes and parking is free. There are park benches around Pier Park to stop and people-watch. The traffic can be tricky as the area can get congested and there may be a lot of foot traffic. I always feel safe visiting Pier Park whether I visit in the morning afternoon or evening. Tootsies has live entertainment on the weekend so we sometimes stop and relax while we listen. Another yummy favorite is Kilwin's Ice Cream. Other areas to see within Pier Park include the actual pier ($4-$5 cost to visit). Bring your fishing pole and fist for awhile off the pier. There is also a sky wheel where you can look out over the beach. If you enjoy shopping or a lively outdoor summer evening place to visit, this the place for you! read more
