We enjoyed burgers at the lobby bar, and the next day we spent time at the pool, the water slides were such a fun, family-friendly activity. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable, which made it great for a casual family day. I was at Pier Sixty-Six once. That might have been twenty years ago. So, I was interested in seeing the remodel. I have been wanting to come here for a while now. I wasn't here that long but got a feel foe the place. I really like how fresh and modern the hotel looks. The fresh flowers they have around are so pretty. My friend and I went to get a drink at Piertop. A nice gentleman took us on the elevator to the top and told us a little about the history. I did a separate review for Piertop. In short, it is a great place to grab a drink and the views are amazing. I took off a star because you are encouraged to valet. They do offer self parking but it sounded tedious and far. My girlfriend and I recently stayed here for her birthday and our anniversary weekend. We had an AMAZING time here at Pier66. From the moment we arrived to the day we left the hospitality was completely unmatched. The decor and atmosphere were stunning and very modern. Nicole at the front helped us with a seamless check in and had some amazing amenities sent to our room for our special occasions. The pools were beautiful and the food and drinks from the Nectar Room were so incredible we went twice in the same day! Our bartender Gustavo and server Elizabeth were very knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was gorgeous and spacious and the bathroom was INCREDIBLE. What a beautiful place to stay. We are doing a staycation and it's hard to believe that we live in paradise. The staff here is so above and beyond outgoing. They have been trained well One in particular was Prince. He truly was a Prince! Also a huge shout out to Chris. He checked us in like we're royalty. He also caught a huge mistake in our bill. Valet parking is very pricey. 60$ a day. Ouch! Pool is beautiful but the water temperature was too cold to go in. They have a snow room in the spa. A must see. The view from our room is outstanding! Garni was a Good Option for Breakfast but be Aware of the "Buffet" Option. Let them take you up there to see the Selection before making your Decision. ((Pricing)) Our Room was Welcoming and Clean then to go to the Window to see a Rooftop Viewpoint below after we had Booked for an Ocean View Room. Front Desk Assistant said it was a much Nicer View; the Room she gave us.. Anyway the View wasn't too bad as we liked to watch the Traffic on the 17th St Causeway & Intracoastal but the Ocean View had to be better! The Staff was Very Prompt On-Property! Scored a day pass here with two friends and had the best Thursday escape! We arrived mid-morning, ready to enjoy the pool, great vibes, a few cocktails, and their Latin-inspired menu. Valet parking was seamless, normally $30, but with the ResortPass perk, it only cost $11. Once our car was whisked away, we entered the stunning lobby where we were warmly greeted by staff and directed to check in at the pool. There are two pool areas: an adult-only pool and a family pool. We checked in at the adult pool, gave our names, received wristbands, and chose our chairs for the day. The day pass cost about $100 before taxes, roughly $117 total. This gave us access to all pool amenities, plus food and drink service right from our seats. Though daybeds are available for rent, we skipped the splurge, figuring it wouldn't be crowded (and we were right). After we got settled, a friendly staff member helped adjust our umbrellas and provided pool towels and bottled water. I loved that we were given two towels and the branded seat cover was a small touch, but it really elevated the experience. Kristen, our amazing server, arrived soon after to take drink orders and offer menu recommendations. We kicked things off with a pitcher of Verde Vida margaritas. This was easily one of the best pitchers I've had in a long time! Perfectly balanced: strong but refreshing, not overpowering. We ordered the chicken avocado wrap, flautas, beef quesadilla, fruit bowl, and fries to share. Everything was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Even the cucumbers in our drinks were so crisp we joked about asking where they got them! The adult pool also has a hot tub, but with the heat, we skipped it and stuck to the perfectly cooled pool. The crowd was chill, we even had a fun celebrity encounter (no name drops for privacy!). Staff across the board were kind, attentive, and always made sure we had what we needed, no matter where we wandered. Later, we shared a bottle of champagne and more cocktails before heading to the family side for a few turns on the water slides. The green slide is slower, and the yellow slide is fast and enclosed, both were a blast! We laughed, screamed, and acted like big kids the whole time. Even the bathrooms were stunning and spotless. Poolside food and beverage service ended at 5 PM, so we closed out, packed up, and grabbed our car from valet with zero wait. I'd highly recommend this resort for a relaxing, fun-filled pool day. After chatting with a few hotel guests, I'd love to come back for an overnight stay. It's also a perfect pre-cruise option if you want to unwind before heading to the port. read more

The return of an icon! The hotel re-opened I believe in February 2025 after very extensive renovations. The entire place is absolutely stunning. The service is nothing short of luxury, 5-star service for sure. The pool staff are phenomenal, they are so welcoming and attentive. The adult pool is very relaxing and is exactly what a vacation or staycation should feel like. The rooms were gorgeous, and spacious. The balcony we were given was huge, I would recommend they provide nicer outdoor furniture such as a lounge char or two in addition to the small table and chairs but that is my only recommendation. Food and drinks at the restaurants are fantastic! Notably Elate market for exceptional pastries (I'm talking about you key lime tart) and great specialty coffees. Sotogrande was a fun Spanish/eastern Mediterranean restaurant I really enjoyed the differing cuisines offered. Lastly the true icon, Pier Top, was a truly spectacular view, it is a completely rotating rooftop bar that takes 66 minutes to completely rotate. You get a view from whatever seat you choose which I thought was a great concept. The food was just okay but the wine and cocktails were spectacular. I have to judge hotels at this level a bit more strictly. Pier Sixty-Six is a wonder hotel that doesn't offer beach access, it's next to the Intracoastal. Walking to things close by is not an option. I found the valet parking to be absolutely out of line, this isn't Miami. When I arrived at the room I noticed debris on the floor in a few spots, this was quickly taken care of and only happened once. The hot tub was not working properly and it had floating instects in it, this shouldn't be happening here. All restaurants that I went to eat at were wonderful and I recommend Sotogrande as the top pick. Loved the buffet option at Garni, you can also have a la carte menu. Checking can take longer than usual due to many people arriving at once. Presentation all around was great. I found the price a touch elevated considering that the area doesn't have beachfront. Pool service was a touch slower than normal but always friendly. You won't be disappointed as it's such a beautiful hotel. read more

This hotel is incredible! Checked in today to go to the Miami Open, staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Room service is fast and delicious. The bars and restaurants seem wonderful. Despite the pouring rain my kids wanted to hit the pool, fantastic set up. When we left for tennis, called the front desk and the were able to remove the service items, freshen up the room and do turn down service (the towels will per perfect for when we get back! A true 5 star resort, the service is unparalleled here--whether at the pool, any of the restaurants, or the wonderful turn-down service in the evenings, you will want for nothing. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, as is the entire property. There are three different pools, and they had a DJ at one of the pools during our stay; the music was perfect to elevate the day, but it wasn't too loud. I can't recommend the Facemodeling Facial at the spa enough! It was actually very relaxing, but the facial massage does leave you looking lifted and fresh. The amenities in the spa are outstanding. We stayed at Pier Sixty-Six recently and had a wonderful stay, probably one of the best resorts we've ever stayed at. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a corner suite which offered an absolutely breathtaking view. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, bathrooms had remote controlled bidets, remote control blinds and shutters and everything was so well maintained. The resort had just undergone a multi million dollar renovation and it really showed, everything was immaculate. From the welcome champagne and check-in process with the front desk, to the pool service, to all the restaurants.. everything was top notch. Melissa at the pool particularly stood out when she went above and beyond to help my family set up two daybeds by the pool, offered us bottled waters and made sure we were comfortable. She was so lovely that I still remember her name from two months ago. We had excellent dinners at Sotogrande on two separate nights, service was friendly and food was delicious. Sunday breakfast buffet was in the most beautiful restaurant. We really enjoyed breakfast at the cafe by the lobby on the other mornings as well. Pier Top was a fun place for a few cocktails, with a DJ on Saturday night, and the best 360 view of the city. I can't wait to come back to experience this all over again sometime soon. Let me start by saying this is a beautiful hotel and the on-site service is very good. Now, if you are a meeting planner, I would stay away from this hotel. They have no desire to get you timely information and their sales and catering staff are fairly incompetent. They will ignore your emails and requests. We stayed here for my husband's work event, and had a great stay! The hotel is recently re-opened after extensive renovations. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably decorated and with upscale furnishings and decor. The balconies and balcony furniture leave a bit to be desired; however, most, if not all, rooms over a great view of the intercostal and/or ocean. They are still trying to figure out the kinks, as I assume most staff is new, but the staff we encountered were excellent and more than eager to make the guests happy and correct any issues. We arrived just after 2:00 PM on a Tuesday, and they told us our room wasn't ready yet - so they seem to follow the book as far as check-in time. We had them hold our luggage and ate lunch by the pool meanwhile. Once we were able to check-in, our luggage hadn't arrived to our room yet and the baby pack & play wasn't delivered/set up yet so we had to make two calls, which was a bit frustrating after waiting to check-in. They gifted our baby a stuffed manatee when we checked in, which was really sweet! They provided a pack & play for our baby to sleep in; however, housekeeping couldn't find any sheets for it so we used a blanket wrapped around the mattress! We asked them to freeze my breastmilk prior to flying back to California, and they happily did without hesitation. We had an issue with housekeeping arriving after 4:00 PM to clean both days, and guest services wrote us a nice apology note, which was thoughtful. The pool area is beautiful and clean with ample seating and umbrellas, but the majority (~ 90%) of the pool area is completely shaded by 1:00 PM since it's surrounded by the hotel and condominiums. The pool staff is wonderful, friendly, and happy to get to help and get to know the guests. They have sunscreen and aloe available, as well as free bottled water, which is a nice touch! There are also brand new docks located in front of the hotel, which you can explore and admire the yachts docked out front. It's rare that I encounter something unique in my hometown, but I was really impressed with this place. The bar is beautiful, the views are fantastic and panoramic, constantly rotating the whole time. I was prepared for $25 drinks, so I can't really complain about the cost, but obviously this is a special occasion type of place. The cocktails were all fantastic. They have some food, snacks as they call them. We had Bacon wrapped dates with chorizo, this tune dish and something else I can't remember. The tuna was out of this world, the others were tasty as well. Service was very good, with the bartender approaching us for drinks while we were waiting for. Table and our server being attention and informed. Overall, it's a great place for a splurge with ambiance. Oh, and the DJ was awesome. read more

I will qualify this review by saying that I've stayed in literally hundreds of hotels due to that required by my career. I've stayed at some pretty awful hotels to Ritz Carltons but mostly Hiltons, Hyatts and Marriotts from some of their best to some of their disappointments. Just wanted to put that out there for context. My grandparents used to take us here when it first opened in 1965 but it had aged and was closed for x-number of years while they put $1B in renovation. I believe it just re-opened in early 2025. Overall, we couldn't have been happier at Piper 66. Very well-trained staff which is uncommon today from check-in to departure. A glass of Prosecco at check-in. Plenty of help with the luggage. Our room (6014) had a great view of the pools (all three!) and the marina, and the inland waterway across to the 15th Street Fisheries. We thought that the room itself was one of the bet that we have ever stayed in. Large balcony area, sheer and solid curtains close with a touch of a button, large tv, excellent bedding (my wife wanted to take the pillows home!), no-charge Evian water and Pier 66 water bottles. Also a large bathroom with huge shower and toilet area separated with a frosted-glass door. Speaking of the toilet, it was one of those with its own control pad for raising/lowering the seat and cover, two levels of "flush", heated seat, bidet functions. Quite the unit! Also, excellent towels. Housekeeping did an excellent job with evening turn-down service. One evening we ate at their Calusso Restuarant. Very nice but service was a little spotty. Portions are modest not only here but at each dining place we visited. We waited quite a while for dessert. The Sidecar cocktails we had were excellent. Can't remember what main dishes we had but they were also excellent. Just be prepared for $250 bill if you have an app, drinks and dessert. We ate breakfast at Garni in the lower level. Sometimes spotty service here, too. We waited quite some time before someone came by to serve us though staff was running around. The buffet was $42, so expect about $100+ for two. The buffet was very good. I wouldn't say excellent as I've had better at say, the Grand Hyatt in San Diego, which had much greater selections. But there was an omelet station, some fresh fruit though I would expect more for the price. Coffee was sometimes hot, sometimes not. It was nice to have an "Adult Pool" as well as the family pool if you didn't want to be around the young-ins'! No charge water. Chairs made up with a cover and towels. Umbrellas for shade. Pretty attentive staff though it seems that one more server was needed at times. Complimentary little refreshments each afternoon. We made reservations at Pier Top, their rotating lounge on the 17th floor. Very cool to be sitting and having the view slowly change (it rotates once every 66 minutes). Just SMALL apps, no dinner, expensive cocktails. For the price, they're pretty stingy with the size of the available apps. Quite disappointing in this regard. I had the lobster roll for $30 which came as two very small rolls somewhat filled with lobster but a lot of celery, too. They could loosen up the serving size since they charge heavily for the apps. Of course, you're paying for the rotating lounge which looks over Port Everglades, the canals, marina, etc, which is pretty great, but, come on, you're charging high end prices and delivering pretty tiny servings. On our last evening, we ate at Nectar. My wife and stepson both had sushi which was very good. I had a salmon dish which was simply delicious. Again, small portions for the price. All-in-all, we loved it at Pier 66 and would certainly return. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great amenities. Extremely comfortable room. Excellent food though over-priced for the portions. Sometimes spotty service. Plan on $1K+ per day if you eat breakfast and dinner there, more if you have lunch, too. read more

We drove here for a one night stay. The valet took possession of our vehicle and clearly took it for a joyride....TWICE. Our manettino (settings) were altered to "race mode".....the hotel manager (and guest relations) still has not returned our call to address the issue. Someone from the hotel finally called. While they credited us the $60 valet fee, I wouldn't recommend bringing your luxury vehicle to Pier Sixty-Six. read more

You can certainly tell the difference between a hotel owned by a private company as opposed to a major chain. This hotel is ran perfectly and there are so many small details they pay attention to. Customer service is 5 star plus and the cleanliness is impeccable. I came to this facility to celebrate the "Hispanic Women of distinction ". The hotel is amazing, vey clean, modern and inviting. We passed to the Banquet hall where they had tables for 600 people, immaculately prepared. The ballroom is exquisite and very comfortable. The waiters were very pleasant and I was able to see great communication between the manager, supervisor and the waiters.. the event went through smoothly. The food was very tasty. The facilities for audiovisual are great and can accommodate almost everything. We had a great experience and I recommend this venue if you have to prepare an event, definitely check out Pier Sixty Six in Ft. Lauderdale. The one thing that could improve is the AC in the ballroom. When the people went in it got warm quickly. read more

It is difficult to write a review of this property because there is so much that is outstanding about it, I don't know where to start. The renovation is unbelievably gorgeous. No expense was spared and everywhere you look, it is a feast for the eyes. The guest rooms are simply magnificent and unique. The pool areas are drop dead gorgeous. There's no other way to put it! Dinner at Calusso was a culinary adventure from start to finish. The turbot with roasted capers, pumpkin seeds in a lobster emulsion was one of the best dishes I've ever had and I've dined everywhere from Rio to Paris. Breakfast at Sotogrande was delightful and delicious each morning. The menu...the setting...the service....the best you could ask for. The staff at the property are all so friendly it only enhances an unforgettable experience. The rooftop restaurant in the iconic tower was not yet open during our visit but you can be sure I'll be back to check it out. Being open only a few weeks there were a few flaws but easy to overlook. For the benefit of the property I'll point out that the kitchen is very slow at Calusso and everything took too long to come out. The biggest sore spot for me was the lobby market called Elate. Don't charge over $10 for a cup of coffee in the morning and $8 for a small bottle of Diet Coke especially if you make me wait for it ten minutes due the the ineptitude of the clueless staff working there. Had a good experience on two visits but then had odd experiences where it was difficult to have a friend let up to the room and the front desk was unhelpful when our 7yo wandered off for a couple of minutes. I used to go to Pier 66 back in the day, years before the renovation. I just got back from a 4 day stay and was anxious to see what they did. It is absolutely gorgeous! It should be after a $1 BILLION reno. It is easy to see that they spent too much and went way over budget. No one really needs a Bidet in every bathroom while on vacation but whatever. Pier 66 is pretty and all, but can you say OVERCHARGE for everything. I am surprised I didn't get charged for using the toilet paper, oh wait....I actually probably did....lol. If you do anything, make sure you scan the wet bar code. I really haven't seen anything so incredibly insane and desperate to overcharge as .... a 375ML bottle (tiny) of Don Julio Tequila = $450.00. I have that at home. Go to Total Wine and get a 1.75L for $400. Or the baby one that they have for $90. I mean, come on now. That's just an example. The beat goes on from there.
