It's been a year since I let Pierce RV represent my motorhome for sale. With the understanding that all non camping items would be removed from it. Being an avid RV owner, I had camping chairs(2) tub style, 75' #10 wire cable, appropriate connectors for various parks across the country, 50amp, 30amp, 110v adapters, tool box with tools and electrical tester, 5 ton barrel jack, charger for E-bike(French made) had a hell of a time and expense getting a replacement. BBQ, drawer full of silverware and usual utensils. Dishes and pi s and pans all from Costco and it great shape. Tow ball for the insert. All of which I was told were not camping related. It Sat in their lot for 3 months and they told me I needed a new roof for $10k. I had a new roof put on the year before. I'm an old guy and old guys take care of their stuff and usually have everything they need before they pull out of the driveway. Really sad and disappointed in Pierce for being so dishonest. I have never heard a word from them after discussing this issue with the idiot I talked with. Needless to say, you have been warned. read more

They charged me for a service I did not want and my motorhome was in worse shape than when I took it in. Do not do business here. I took my Class A motorhome in to have the roof seal and coated. They set up an appointment for me the following week. I took the motorhome in to have it done. there was confusion when I got there to what I wanted done. I had to explained I had talk with their representative the week before and explained the service I wanted. They kept it over night and DID NOT do what I wanted. They had washed the roof and sealed cracks that I had already done the week before and DID NOT the apply the roof coating because they did not have it in stock??? When I picked my motorhome up the sides were filthy from washing my roof. I had washed and waxed it two weeks prior and I was told I would have to bring it back to get the roof done. The photo shows the terrible job they did by not washing off the sides after the roof. Plus they were going to charge me double the cost of the product for the roof. I wouldn't recommend them for anything knowing they couldn't fix a broken light bulb. Didn't take t back Camping World is the place to go. read more

My husband and I had been looking for a travel trailer for about a month. After not even getting a call back from a dealer in Wyoming where we are from we started our search out of state. We knew we were interested in the Forest River IBEX trailer and found one in Billings. I called and all of the sales folks were busy, but within 10 minutes got a call back from Eric B and was asked how he could help. After spending probably 30-40 minutes on face time with Eric who even got underneath the trailer to show us the insulation we bought a trailer without physically being in Billings. Pierce's mission statement states they want to be the place where their customers are treated with respect and will always return. In our experience they have followed their mission statement 100%! From sales (Eric), finance (Steve) and service (Judson and Jeremy) it was a pleasant experience. We bought a 2017 Montana camper new from Pierces in Billings, had to bring it back 5 times to get every thing working right, still didnt get what we paid for, asked to put on a heavy duty rear bumper with generator bracket, they didnt do that, had a local repair fix things, two weeks ago, I called them to order a new AC unit, talked to 2 service people to get an AC unit coming, they never called back, I got a local company to do it got the AC unit in 2 days and installed in 1 day, works great, Pierces doesn't give a dam about the customer after the sale, I wont recommend Pierces RV to any one read more

In short, our warranty service experience here was some of the worst customer service that I've ever experienced in any industry. I'd advise avoiding them at all costs. This business is run so incredibly poorly that I can't imagine that any of the other Pierce businesses are any better. Also, don't be fooled by the positive Yelp reviews. All but one are more than two years old and one isn't even about this business. The back story. We brought our new Winnebago Revel to Pierce RV for warranty service. We went over the list of things that needed to be done, and left them to it. As time went on, there was ZERO communication from them so we began calling, and calling and calling. Our service representative never answered the phone, and never, ever called back. When I asked to speak to someone else, I'd be sent to the same voicemail. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was repeatedly, over several days, told that he was in a meeting. I left messages for him, also with no response. Finally, after TWO MONTHS, I'd had it. I finally got someone to answer and to say it would be done on a certain date. I confirmed this twice the week before, so I flew back on that day and showed up at the appointed time. Just guess what happened. The service guy says "Did you call about this? I don't have any paperwork on it" Me: "Yes, of course I called, I called this morning in fact" Him: "Oh, well let me look. So you're going to pick it up while we wait for parts?" Me: "So it's not done??" Him "No, but let me call your advisor" After the call, he claims actually it IS done, but she just didn't finish the paperwork (Why? Who knows? She knew I was coming for two weeks) So they pull up the camper and guess what? It's NOT done. They hadn't even started on the most serious issue. Other items were done, but with a "I don't give a crap how it turns out" attitude. Them saying it was finished was all lies. The service guy's response, a shrug and saying "We can re-schedule you for service". Unbelievable. So, the overall attitude of everyone at this business, from the manager on down is "I don't give a shit". They couldn't care less about even pretending to do a decent job. Avoid this business at all costs. **UPDATE** The next business day after picking up the van, I left a long message for the general manager (of course he was not in the office that day). I briefly described the issues and referred him to my Yelp review. A week later, no response from him whatsoever. What a shock. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. I had a problem with our hot water heater. I went into Pierce RV, which was easy to find and the Service Manager said it would be about 1 hour or longer cause they were very busy. He said that I could go over to the waiting area and hook up so we could run the A.C. It was maybe and hour or less when the Service Manager and one of his techs to check it out. Come to find out it was a mistake that I had made with valves on the hot water. They checked the system out and I was good to go with the only charge was a smile. While travelling through Montana i had some issues with the rv, stoped at this rv center and the rep we delt with Chris Gorder went above and beyond for us, he fixed our bad break light, our stuck basement door, and showed me were our resevour fill was for our leveling jacks. All of this for a relly small sale. We appreciate the service and when we are back that way I fully expect to do business with them and Chris again. read more

Pierce RV in billings was awful. We had a terrible time while we were there. To start off we had a trailer picked out. We were super excited to get to billings which mind you is 4 hours away from us. We get there and walk in and it looks great so we thought. Well, we walked into the trailer and the lady had spoken to us 4 times and said everything was in great shape and ready to go. Well, we hooked up the hose for the water and it all went to shit after. There was water pouring out everywhere, there were crackers and chips in the cabinets, toilet paper rolls empty in the cabinet, leaking behind the toilet which the lady helping us Farah called my husband a liar and told him it wasn't leaking, and the underside of the camper had so much water damage to it, it was falling apart. She then went on to tell my husband that she couldn't fix it all in an hour and that she had other customers coming in. I mean how rude like our money isn't good enough for her. Tony and the girl that works with him were absolutely the nicest people there. They were very helpful. Past that no one else was!!! Then they gave my husband a hard time about getting his deposit back AFTER FARAH told my mother-in-law he would get it back with no problem if we didn't like the camper. They were also super pushy about us going to sign papers as well. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! And they took down my last post as well!! read more

Never in my life have I left a business more infuriated then I just did. Last summer I bought a Heartland camper. After only a couple months of use I had multiple things go wrong with the camper that were covered under warranty. Pearce being the Heartland dealer in Billings. I took it to them for the warranty work. 1.I was told in the beginning that they would do the warranty work but I had to pay for it out of pocket and get reimbursed from Heartland...what?? You sell Heartland trailers! Do you not stand behind your product? 2. A couple days shy of 2 MONTHS later I was called and told my trailer was ready. So I immediately called Heartland and got the payment approved (or so I thought) by Heartland. Heartland said yes sir I have authorised the payment and you should be good to go. Boy was I wrong! I showed up at Pierce and was amongst other things told that Heartland would only cover a certain amount of the repair. So of course I called Heartland and asked why.(as I'm on speaker phone standing at the counter.) The Heartland rep went on to tell me that for example a certain repair should take 30 min of labor. That that is all they would pay for. And if pierce is charging me more than that than they are over charging me.....so your company is on speaker, telling a customer that the dealership I am standing in is ripping me off. Wow. Then the employees at Pierce are telling me (while the Heartland rep is still on speaker) that the rep and Heartland doesn't know what they are talking about, And that Heartland doesn't know how long it takes to fix stuff..... so the people that make the camper don't know how long it takes to fix it???.....rrrriiiigggghhhhhttttt! That makes total sense to the customer. It then goes on for longer with the Heartland rep telling me that Pierce is ripping me off. And the Pierce employees telling me that Heartland is a horrible company.(Then why do you sell them?) All the while the person that should be being taken care of in the entire situation(The customer) got screwed out of over $500 for warranty work that should have been covered. 3. I was told when they called to say it was ready that I had 10 days to pick it up or they would charge me $20 a day to store it. Only to be told by the service manager that that wasn't true. Yet another person writing a review said the same thing. AND YOU HAD MY CAMPER FOR 2 MONTHS!!!! THEN WANT TO CHARGE MO TO STORE IT WHEN I CAN'T PICK IT UP IN DECEMBER. IN THE MIDDLE OF 20 INCHES OF SNOW???? WTF!?!?!?! Long story short never buy a Heartland camper. I've had nothing but problems with it. And obviously I'm never buying anything from Pierce RV. They obviously don't stand behind their products or the companies they represent. The average RV owner buys 4 in a lifetime. This was my first. I guess I know who I won't be buying the next three from. read more

Great product, horrible service. I recently bought a travel trailer from Pierce. My wife and I toured a few trailers and then picked the one we liked. We talked with the salesman for a while and then said we would think about. I called the salesman back a few days later asking for a lower price and an additional free add-on. He said, "No problem." Great! We had a deal! I arranged for a Friday afternoon walk through. Here is where the trouble started. I arrived on Friday a little early just in case they might be ready. Nope. Sat in the waiting area until about 15 minutes after my appointment. Then we went out for the walk through. The lady giving the walk through was very good and nice, however we got about half way through and a manager came over and said he needed her to do another walk through. So, needless to say my walk through was very fast from that point on. Of the three deficiencies we found they fixed one. Next, off to finance. Sit down and the amount we agreed to on the phone wasn't on the paperwork. I told the finance guy this amount was our original offer and not what I had agreed to over the phone. He goes to talk to his boss then brings me in to his bosses office to explain. I told him that myself and the salesman had agreed on a lower price. He says, "Nope, I have three other people who want that trailer for more than you are paying today." Extremely rude! Wouldn't even look me in the eye. So now, after I have been there for an hour and a half, they want to change the deal. Well, they won. I bought it anyway. Like I said, great product. I kinda fell in love with it during the walk through. Here is the kicker. They installed a trailer brake system and an equalizer hitch on my vehicle. While I was signing finance papers a guy brings me keys and says my trailer is out front. I figured they needed the garage bay for another customer. Didn't think much of it at the time. Finally get all the paperwork done and head back to the parts store. All the lights are off. Luckily one person was still there and let me run around and grab the things I needed (hose, filter, pressure regulator, dog bone). Then I go outside. Not a SINGLE person in sight. I have never owned an equalizer hitch. I have never used a trailer brake system. If it wasn't for YouTube I probably never would have gotten it unhitched that night. Also had to stop on the way home to figure out the brake system, because they had left the gain maxed out. Needless to say, I was sick to my stomach for a couple days. What horrible service from a company clearly out to just make money. read more

I had an issue with some slight damage being done on the back of my RV on Tuesday, June 4th, 2019, when I had it in for de-winterization. I had just spent $2800 on getting the backend repainted, and it looked fabulous. So when I saw the damage, I was not a happy camper. They just contacted me, and we are getting an appointment set up. If I could give a -5 star I would - Their service department has zero care for customer service. My good friend bought a brand new camper in 2017 and they took it in at the end of the year to have the camper winterized. Come this spring they pick up their camper to realize that Pierce never winterized it. Water everywhere, the toilet broken and who knows what other damage had been done. When they call Pierce first thing Monday morning, their only response was "bring it on Thursday and well..... we will take a look".. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? We personally fight their service department every time we need to take our camper in. I can't even understand why they have kept that service manager, she clearly does not care about customer service and addressing the issues so it can be corrected. HEY PIERCE, if you had done what you did to my friends camper.... there would be a lot more happening than just a negative review on YELP. I WILL NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND Pierce to any of our friends. SHAME on you Pierce, last year we had two families buy campers from you. For all those hard working sales people at Pierce, I feel horrible for you that the service department will keep you from having referrals. read more

We purchased a fifth wheel camper from pierce. The sales side was great very accommodating, Then the service department..... Being a novice at camping I wanted to get a refresher on all the ins and outs of my brand new camper so I could use it to the fullest. First guy I talked to told me to go to you tube. Second guy stated it would be 4 month before they could fit me in. Very very disappointed and frustrated with the service department and would encourage anyone needing service on your camper to go elsewhere. From my experience with the motorhome business Pierce RV is one of the very best and the dealer you should go to if you have a problem near one of their centers. It's worth a long drive! The front AC went out on my 2019 Forest River Legacy. A Pierce tech determined the problem to be an interface module for the unit. Neither Forest River or Dometic could provide a part number. One of them came up with a solution, just use the current build interface and install a 3rd thermostat bypassing the wall mounted LCD control panel. How's that sound? I couldn't believe that was an acceptable solution or it was the best a support team could come up with. When the parts manager at Pierce RV was talking to Dometic about heating system parts, the question was asked why can't we get a part to repair a 2019 A/C? This Dometic employee came up with the part number. An example of how Pierce RV is working to give the best service they can. You won't find this kind of commitment at the other dealers. Take your business to them, you'll be pleased with their work, attitude and professionalism. read more

We spent almost six hours after traveling to billings to look at some 5th wheels we reviewed on line. The sales guy was very nice, showed us the ones we were interested in. We sat in his office literely 2.5 hours waiting for him to return from talking to his "boss". After downplaying our trade in we were going to go home and think about it and bang he offered what we wanted for it. We agreed to send pictures and he agreed to call us about our hitch. We sent pictures the next day, never heard from him once...we finally called to make sure things would be ready for us and had to leave a message. We never got a call back! When we returned the follow weekend, got a walk thru from a nice tech and then sat down with a very nice financial guy. Signed the paperwork and agreed to call in three days regarding some licenses issues on their end. Never heard from him! We did get our 40 day license but no follow. The camper wasn't cleaned like they said it would be either! We would never purchase or recommend them again! We should of looked at the reviews first. They only care about making money not the customer! read more

Too funny, I went on here to write a review of a conversation I over heard in the service dept at Pierce RV in Billings MT and it looks like the gentleman who was in that conversation beat me too it. See review by Josh T. Good to see, as he was treated very poorly and from what I witnessed, flat out, no apologies ripped off. I went to the parts department to purchase some replacement roof vents for my rv (which now I regret purchasing from Pierce) and couldn't help over here a conversation in which Pierce and the rv manufacturer had disagreed on labor rates in which the balance was being forced on the customer. I did not witness how it all ended, as I left disgusted in what I was hearing, but my view of the pierce service team (two individuals teaming up on a customer) is forever jaded. My advise is to avoid Pierce service department at all costs. Think about that as well if you are thinking of purchasing as no customer should be treated as I observed yesterday. read more

I purchased a used 05 hybrid camper. I looked things over, paying extra attention to the canvas and snaps on the fold out beds, I was satisfied and put my $500 down. Our deal was $6000 for the camper and $250 to install the brake control on my truck. 4 days later I returned to pick up my camper and have the controller installed I did walk around the camper- but did not look at the snaps or the straps- big mistake on my part. When I got the camper I noticed that a strap that holds the front of the foldout bed was hanging from the front of the camper and about a third of the snaps had been pulled out of the straps. They were not like that 4 days before when I looked things over. I returned the camper and told them to let me know when they repaired the damage that had occurred. Several days later I was told they would not repair the camper and I could keep the camper and get it repaired (he said something about possibly discounting the price) on my own or getting my money back. I checked with 2 tent and upholstery places and was told they could not do it, so I opted for a refund- I assumed I would be getting my $6000 back- but only received $5750. I was told that was because they were charging me $500 for the brake controller. I was upset that the camper was damaged and they would not fix it, it was fine when I first looked at it. I was really when my brake controller had suddenly doubled in price. I don't know if this is business as usual, but this my experience and I certainly won't be returning. read more
