This was the 3rd time I ordered from Pigs on the wing. The first time I ordered online and 2 hours later my card was used to purchase over $5,000 worth of stuff. Maybe it had nothing to do with them but just thought I'd warn you. I ordered about $200.00 worth of food but the food was good. Three weeks ago I wanted to order another big order but I went in and paid cash earlier in the day.It was a Saturday and I got there about 3:00. That might have been my mistake. It seems I got all of the old ribs, about 4 racks. They seemed like they were leftovers from the previous night. The ribs were cut individually and the meat was like eating jerky. Dry and tough like leather. I order at least twice a year and I am so done with this place. read more

I ordered based on reviews that I read. Gotta say I was quite disappointed. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was phenomenal - fresh, hot and tasty. One of the best I've ever had. However, the wings were dry, overcooked and hard as a rock. Also quite tough to eat were the rib tips. Very dry and just overcooked. So unless I'm in the mood for a cheesesteak, a return trip is unlikely. Really wanted to love this place too.... read more

Okay so I was told that this place was a must try before I head back to Florida. I stopped here on my way to the airport back home. I must admit it was a party in my tummy. The food was made to order in which my sister who recommend this place didn't tell me.. Still made my flight on time though So I had the chicken and waffle meal along with the hot wings man oh man the food was excellent.. It didnt make it to the airport i devour it in the car. Stopped in tonight on a whim for some take out with the woman, we brought the food over to my brother's house for dinner. We had gotten the family meal number 4 which came to $40 with tax and included chicken, ribs, shrimp, 2 large sides and cornbread. The food was great and totally hit the spot. We order take out food a lot, sadly I was so upset after speaking with the "manager / owner" that I decided to do my first review ever (which should say something). Placed an order and added on onion rings (for some odd reason I could not see the price online - but now I can) . We place an order, added a side of onion rings and 2 cans of soda which came out an additional $10.49. Once I got home I was surprised to see inside the "side" of onion rings were 10 small onion rings. I called the next day and explained that I wanted to speak with a manager - he got on and was not friendly but seemed ANNOYED (fine we all have our days). I explained that we placed an order but I was curious about pricing cause we couldn't see online since we added, and it was on the the receipt since we placed the order online. He told me it was 6.49 plus tax for onion rings, I stated I was disappointed that was the price for (10) small onion rings, the manager / owner didn't seem to care. Customer service goes along way, WE love to support local businesses, but I don't think we will be ordering from here again, the prices are a little high normally, which is fine, the food normally backs that up, but not this time and especially not after speaking with the manager / owner who could care less we were unhappy. I would like to add we have ordered from here previously - and the food was decent, but agian I was just disappointed in the customer service from the owner. :-( read more

I just tried Pigs on a Wing for the first time and boy was I surprised. Great Barbecue in Lindenhurst LI. They have chicken and waffles. OMG. I love chicken and waffles. But I was in the mood for some ribs. They were fall off the bone good. And the sauce and rub was absolutely phenomenal. They have so much on their menu it'll take 10 times to check out everything. The people that own it are so helpful in explaining the various items on the menu and how there prepared. Can't wait to come back for more read more

I've actually given this place a chance. Multiple chances, perhaps 5 or 6. Each time I have been utterly disappointed, so much so that the fact that it has 4 stars as an average rating shocks me. I have tried different menu items each time, and each time I'm disappointed. This weekend was my last attempt. I'm done. I've tried their sanwiches, their boneless wings, their on the bone wings, their sides, and this past weekend, their baby back ribs and bbq chicken. To call it a gag fest would be kind. I am a barbecue fanatic, and love the rib experiences I've had at places like Smokin' Al's and Majors Steak house, to name two. The overpriced ribs here were overcooked (that seems to be their specialty!), Dry and tasteless. They were actually so dry that at one point during my meal, the meat lodged in my throat and I needed to force myself to...eject it. When I got to the chicken is was just as dessicated and tasteless. Giving up and tossing away the remainder of my $30+ entree, I moved to their baked beans. Again, tasteless. Horrible. I'm amazed that a place based on bbq could have no clue how to make a barbecue sauce that tastes like something! They don't know how to cook a meat! They can't fashion a side dish! And what they charge is criminal. Do yourself a huge favor: don't order delivery of take out from here. Take the trip to one of the reputable, delicious bbq places like Smokin' Al's. The ribs were such a great size..I usually find baby backs to be small, and almost pointless. Not these, great amount of meat, tender, sauced to perfection! The chicken was just as delicious and tender. I was hesitant to try a new place, after only going with a LI staple for many years. Soo glad I did and can't wait for more! This place is a hidden gem! Food was fantastic; the service was very friendly. The food came out super hot and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Ribs were sticky and delicious. I am so sad I didn't order more. Fried chicken is crispy and juicy and beyond flavorful. I also had the creamed spinach, and it was perfect! The creamed spinach was not soggy or falling apart and had great flavor and texture. My meal also came with cornbread. I took it back to my office and heated it up with butter and OMG talk about amazing cornbread. I am absolutely looking forward to my next meal from there. Highly recommend getting takeout from here if your passing by!! The only negative I could say about this place. There was only a small area to sit looking out the window so not a good place to have a meeting. Stopped by with my son and his friend for lunch after a soccer game. Platters were a great deal with lots of food, sides, and a drink for about $10 each. Owners were super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Two growing boys were stuffed, and that was after a long, hard game. Food was fresh and delicious. Not much seating (about five stools), but they mentioned they might be expanding. Looking forward to trying their barbecue options the next time we're in Lindenhurst. I have never had a disappointing meal. Soul food is what I would call it. My guy and I will get a craving for a chicken waffle sandwich and save our cheat meal for it because it's SO worth it. He told me about this place initially, and 6 months ago, we moved a few blocks over from here! We were and are thrilled. I'm so hungry thinking about the food here. The party platters are delicious too. The girl working the counter suggested one of the plotters when I couldn't decided if I wanted onion rings or mozzarella triangles. And everything else on the menu! If you haven't done so, you need to get this place out NOW. Well, not right now because they're closed, but they open back up for lunch tomorrow! Do it. The food wasn't bad a little pricey but not bad overall. I'm only rating this three stars because of the service. I came in and ordered wings and I asked for honey bbq on the side when I got home their was nothing in the bag. I don't live far so I ran back over and said calmly "hey sorry I was here 10 minutes ago and you guys just forgot my honey barbecue" the women looked at me scuffed went into the back and said "no one ordered honey barbecue" I told her my order and I had my boyfriend with me who vouched that I did say it. She then told me "if it wasn't written down you didn't order it" she was fighting with me over honey barbecue. She ended up giving me sauce which turned out to taste like marinara sauce. Holy moly! We ordered from this place for the first time and let me tell you it will NOT be the last!! We got a the mozzarella triangle app, chicken tender meal (which comes with cornbread, side dish, side salad, soda can), a mashed potato bowl, and a steaming hot cherry crumb pie. This food was way way waaay better than other take out in the area. The mozzarella triangles come with home-made marinara that is thick and robust- so good. The all white meat chicken and creamy potato bowl were both so fresh and insanely delicious. They also have burgers, seafood options, many many chicken and pork options. A ton of amazing looking dessert pies (It was so hard to choose just one.) This place hit all the spots when it came to our craving tonight. We will definitely be back!! read more

The young couple who own this quaint take-out restaurant are always friendly and welcoming. The place is fairly small and has a great small-town vibe to it, which I really like. Many customers are on a first-name basis with the owners. It makes me feel like I am somewhere down south getting my 'comfort food' fix on. I just really love how simple everything is. There used to be only a few menu options, but recently they doubled them. The last time I ate here I ordered the chicken and ribs 'individual meal' combo.
