I woke up vomiting and knew they would consider it a late cancel or no show and charge me extra fees, so I called and emailed (and then came in) to ensure I wasn't charged. I assumed management would prefer not be exposed (and expose all of their customers) to a viral illness just to bank an extra $20. I was told no one could help me because the GM Christina no longer allows them any authority and finally I got a call back from Christina speaking condescendingly about how it's hard to manage and saying she couldn't refund me (even though I went into the class). It's not safe for members to have sick peers pressured to come in anyway. I can't support a business that operates like this anymore.

I also like how there are classes with a cardio component for the times when I want to get an aerobic aspect. Chandra's ride classes rank with the best I've experienced. The music is awesome and her energy motivates me to push myself even further. Don't be afraid if you haven't done the Lagree method before because the staff are so helpful and they make it super easy to follow along. Trust me: You WILL be sore and you WILL get your heart rate up in any Lagree class you take!

I always leave here feeling like I had a great workout and really worked hard. This studio offers a variety of classes throughout the day. If I was in closer proximity I'd come more often. Classes are pricey though and it's expensive to be a member here. All kinds of packages are available but a 3-6 month pass ranges from $300-500. Great attention to the unique needs of every student 3. Excellent cues and attention to coaching proper form without overwhelming students I feel like I progress in every class bc each instructor also brings their own flavor and vibe getting to know their students and helping them advance. Studio is clean and cheery. Equipment is well maintained. Instructors are extremely caring, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Notes for those considering pilates for the first time. Start with private lessons. Get the basics down. Then switch to a class that consistently has 6 or less students. A good instructor should be very hands on and have the ability to coach all students in their class vs just call out the sequence. pilates is all about proper form and fine tuning of muscles for optimum performance. Too large of a class and you won't get the optimal benefit out of the class bc the instructor won't be able to individually observe and guide you.

Their cancellation policy states there is a 24 hour cancellation window for "classes, private sessions, workshops and other scheduled visits." Then they also have a no refund policy for "Sessions and packages". However, the no refund policy actually applies to classes as well. If the cancellation policy distinguishes between sessions and classes and the no refund policy applies only to sessions, my assumption was that classes were refundable. I don't begrudge a business having a no refund policy, but to not be clear is unacceptable. Also, if there is a no refund policy for everything, then what happens if I cancel w/ less than 24 hours notice? Do I forfeit my class entirely? Is there a penalty?? Who knows because they don't tell you when you make the purchase. Again, whatever policy they want to have for their business is fine, but it should be CLEAR. Personally, I would not trust this business and will look elsewhere for people who can run a business properly and know who to write and communicate clear policies, especially to potential clients.

She was 86 and I was 38...I couldn't manage 30 seconds. I had taken Pilates with Deb 8 years ago after I had my first child when she was located in Rockford. I realized that was exactly what I needed to get my body back in shape. Deb is an amazing instructor and definitely pushes you but not too far, as she is always cognizant of your movement and body position. Less than a year later, I have lost 35 pounds and gained so much muscle, flexibility, energy and clarity that I feel as good as I did in my early 20's. Everyone should be doing Pilates and a great place to go is the Pilates Advantage!

The lessons were okay but Deb didn't make me feel comfortable enough to ask questions, she seemed stressed and agitated for all three lessons. But I stuck with it and bought more classes because it was close to my job and because I had heard so many good thing about how beneficial Pilates is. The last straw for me was when I asked a question as we were doing an exercise and Deb literally SNAPPED AT ME in front of the other three females!!!! I was so embarrassed. And the reason I was having issues was because the tension of the machine wasn't right- once Deb realized it she fixed it but with a slight attitude. Even the three others in class kind of looked uncomfortable that she had gotten so pissed off for no obvious reason. If your a newcomer to Pilates I wouldn't suggest this place. I have some body issues stemming from injury and flat feet (thanks dad) and caryn not only was respectful of them but also showed me how to modify certain stretches and sequences so as not to hurt myself or cause discomfort and also get the maximum stretch and strengthening. This morning I went to my first mat class (we had a private "family" class with my mom, me, our friend and her daughter) in probably 3 years and it was wonderful. Their new (well, new to me!) space is light, airy and just beautiful. Caryn is a fantastic teacher and is extremely attentive to all in her classes. I will admit, Pilates can be a bit expensive but the effect it has on your body...and really your mind, can be well worth the expense.

Christina, the manager, was there…read morethat day and was very helpful in going over reformer Pilates and also going over the membership options. I did an intro class, which was complimentary. The intro was a small session but mostly introducing the equipment. I've since gone to a handful of level 1 classes. I definitely feel like a newbie but the instructors are so patient and helpful. I feel like the instructors are very supportive. The other people in my class have been friendly too! I'm excited to do more classes. There's a small store area in the front where you can buy grip socks and other clothing. I recommend the grip socks! They seem to be better priced than some of the ones I've seen online.
