The building itself is 100 years old. Though the location is conveniently close to downtown, beware of exactly what that means: overpriced studios and 1 bedroom apartments, tourists constantly stealing your parking spaces, parades and events downtown that congest the streets, and more. The owner of the property has renovated a few of the apartments, and does allow for pets with an additional pet rent every month and that is understandable.
What I did not like is that in the year we lived there, the police were at the building twice. I'm not sure how or why this kept happening, but the turnover for the property was very high. There were always people getting kicked out or strangely disappearing. And our neighbors were very rude, not friendly at all.
Also, whenever maintenance was needed for our apartment, often times they would not schedule appointments in advance, the way most apartment complexes do. They would just drop on by unexpectedly, or even just let themselves in unannounced.
