Do not rent from The Pillars Apartment Management, they also go by Mystic Properties. My building I was living in sold to them in April 2021. They provided us new leases to review the end of May and changed a lot of the terms from what the previous owner had and increased the rent, so I gave my notice to move out. I have been moved out over 30 days now and still have not received my itemized list of deductions or the return of my deposit. I have emailed and called to no answers. I do not recommend. read more

The building itself is 100 years old. Though the location is conveniently close to downtown, beware of exactly what that means: overpriced studios and 1 bedroom apartments, tourists constantly stealing your parking spaces, parades and events downtown that congest the streets, and more. The owner of the property has renovated a few of the apartments, and does allow for pets with an additional pet rent every month and that is understandable. What I did not like is that in the year we lived there, the police were at the building twice. I'm not sure how or why this kept happening, but the turnover for the property was very high. There were always people getting kicked out or strangely disappearing. And our neighbors were very rude, not friendly at all. Also, whenever maintenance was needed for our apartment, often times they would not schedule appointments in advance, the way most apartment complexes do. They would just drop on by unexpectedly, or even just let themselves in unannounced. We became very concerned about this and had to buy a camera to keep an eye on our apartment whenever we were out and about. read more

Thinking of living here? You might want to buy a bullet-proof vest. I lived at the Pillars. The management seemed to be on a mission to make every succeeding tenant worse than the last. When I started fearing for my life, it was time to move out. Pity, because the place is in a great location. If only it was better managed. read more

Very happy to find apartment here. "Divine" guidance. Small but adequate one bedroom apartment. Single $1310.00 month, 1 year initial lease. That includes water, gas, central heat, and electric . Compared with some rentals that alone is about a $200.00 value. TV and telephone jacks. No smoking.. Two persons on lower income (e.g. Social Security and savings), combining assets, could be accepted cause like many places they want to know renters' income is 2 1/2 times monthly rent. Pet permitted for $50.00 mo. Lots of windows and bright inside. Wonderful location on Cortez St. within mile sidewalk distance of everything. Park on street but lots of locations. NO time limit. This place is 100 years old (check out the switches in the lobby). There is also a metal sculpture of an eagle catching a fish in front of one of the apartments. This place (and the eagle) must have a history in Prescott but couldn't locate much on the internet. Neighbor we did meet was friendly. Look like a lot of younger (probably professionals) neighbors live there. read more
