I decided to get the pilot app because we like road trips. I'm upset because I could not use my app at the pumps and therefore couldn't receive my savings at the pump. It was very frustrating and confusing. This location is a little on the run down side. Been to nicer updated ones. I do like the fact that clean restrooms and showers are available. Their gas pumps are always broken. Their employees have bad attitudes, they don't like to replace things or do their job.

Well lit, clean bathrooms, hot coffee, fresh food, and friendly staff. I really like that there are a couple of RV pumps to allow for longer vehicles, or vehicles with trailers. The parking lot was easy to maneuver, with no bumps or ditches to jump to get to the pumps. It's dirty and trashy on the sides. There is no real good place to take the dogs to go to the bathroom. Where we parked the cement smelled of urine. I imagine the truck drivers urinate right outside the truck. The gentleman working inside was not the friendliest, but oh well. It's a place to stop and get diesel. Don't expect too much. read more

I usually buy diesel next door at the Pacific Pride cardlock but a couple of guys who proudly announced themselves as Repo Men were broke down and blocking the pumps and refused to drag the broke down tow truck out of the way so I could fuel. Went next door to the Pilot Travel Center, nice young man pumped the diesel for me, bought 45 gallons. About an hour north the water in fuel warning light went off on my Dodge. The water always settles to the bottom of the tank where your fuel pump can pick it up, so I know that the water came from Pilot. All fuel dispensing pumps have a filter at the pump and if they are changed as ~needed won't dispense water. So I've got to spend $80 plus labor to change a filter that caught the water THAT THEY CHARGED ME DIESEL PRICE FOR. Imagine my dismay. Filtering water out of diesel fuel is old technology and standard practice. It is inexcusable that Pilot with the millions of gallons of diesel they sell is failing to do this at their Rice Hill truck stop. I called the manager on duty and let her know what happened so that when they eventually get around to doing something about it that other drivers won't be impacted the way I was. Too bad. If they are selling me water with the diesel, must be lots of other drivers too. read more

One of the things that jumps out at me immediately at this travel center/TruckStop. That they have an unbelievable amount of parking. Walking into the travel center you will see that the place is very kept up, Even while sporing be out to see what I can spend my money on you notice that the employees were cleaning the floors and the shelves doing operation hours. Which is 24 seven at a truck stop. This particular travel center have a Denny's restaurant and a subway, I had a very nice lunch in the restaurant earlier today service is very nice and they're all big fans of Organ University "Go ducks" One of the other things that I like about this particular travel center is a space if you're into exercising or working out doing your travel this place has the space for you to get out and stretch legs or maybe take the dog for a walk. Pilot Travel Centers have become our new favorite place to stop on long road trips. They are clean, safe, and gas and snacks are cheap. They also have EVERYTHING. It's a one stop shop...for everything. Seriously. We pulled in at 1:30am, slept safely and securely amongst other sleepy traveler-filled cars, woke up, and filled up the tank with gas then grabbed hot breakfast sandwiches and orange juice and hit the road. Kind of amazing. Bathroom is super clean, food is fresh and VAST in selection from gas station type hot food to a Denny's, beverages and snacks a-plenty, and if you sign up for the rewards card, you get an even better deal on drinks and food. Staff are always friendly and so helpful and welcoming. If you're doing a roadtrip, or spending a lot of time in the car, download the Pilot/Flying J "My Pilot" app and plan your stops accordingly. Stopped here for gas and some drinks for the road while on the way to San Diego from Seattle this past weekend and let me tell you; cleanest restrooms at a gas station/pit stops/truck stops EVER! Besides the fact that they were as fancy as a 5 star hotel, which was great. The store had a lot of different gifts and the selection was great between food, drinks, snacks or items for the road. The employees all seemed like they enjoyed them self. Will definitely make an effort to stop and do business here next time I am passing through. read more

A great place to stop and fuel up, both you and your car :) the staff are fast and friendly. There are showers if that's needed and a Denny's restaurant to enjoy a meal. Rest stop parking is allowed, much quieter and safer then the nearest rest stop. read more

Southern Oregon. I had to pee. The kids had to pee. Lots of trees. Nowhere to pee. I Yelped and found Pilot Travel Center No. 233. Thank goodness! It's a little tricky from the southbound 5 since it's located on the east side of the freeway, but just have the Yelp map on your phone and follow the curve of the road. It seems like you are going farther from where you need to be, but the road really does eventually lead to only one place. And that place is a veritable Valhalla for travelers. CLEAN bathrooms with multiple stalls, snacks aplenty, hot food if you need it. Next time we do a driving trip, I will make a point to stop at the Pilot centers as much as possible! This pilot has everything. I've been coming here periodically for years. Best had prices, plenty of four options and some of the nicest had attendants in Oregon. In fact. Great customer service very clean. We use the shower and it was really nice and clean they also provided towels. Customer service is just out of this world, the young woman helped us with options about showers. As a family traveling long distance, it's nice to have a rest stop with clean restrooms and options to just take a shower and good food. The manager was very friendly and very accommodating. Fantastic! After literally being told at the Arco down the road I couldn't use their restroom and I should go to the pilot truck stop half a block down the road, I did! Their building is cleaner, had more amenities, friendly helpful people both at the cash register, and at the fuel pump. And they have a restroom! I travel for business and come by here almost every week. I use to spend $100 a week at the Arco, now I'll be going to the Pilot, I joined the reward s program, I look forward to coming again! I suggest everyone who comes to RICE HILL TO A KEEP ON GOING PAST THREE ARCO TO THE PILOT TRUCK STOP! It's for cars too and you'll be much much happier!
