Pima College advertises dental services dental in my ass cleaning is not dental services they refer you to some high-priced oral surgeons who wants $400 per extraction What a complete waste of time to call the number you get a run around oh don't you want his teeth cleaned no I need it my teeth polled and I just keep playing games and games again I can only imagine what kind a horrible dentist come out of that place that must sound like the worst college on the planet they teach you how to clean peoples teeth I don't think I extract them that doesn't make any sense that that is a Mickey Mouse college read more

Holy cheap tuition, Batman! Pima Community College is your one-stop shop for all things learning, post high school. The west campus is my favorite because I ride a scooter and on the way to my Saturday FIVE hour philosophy class with the amazing professor Crabtree, there is tons of beautiful desert to check out. Then you roll over the hill, look to your left and behold (snakes start singing)..... a college appears (and all the desert hippie teachers you could ever wish for). Don't worry about getting lost on campus. It happens the first time or two. You'll get the hang of it. I did :) Oh and a tip: Don't buy your books from the Pima Bookstore. Rent them from Chegg. It'll save you a ton of grant money that would be much better invested into your 401 Keg. After all, the first two years of college will be the easiet. You might as well take advantage of it. This college is borderline incompetent. Since they got their accreditation fully reinstated, it seems like they have done little to actually improve the school. Just a lot of BS PR stuff that doesn't actually benefit the students much but makes the school look good. The professors are about 80% incompetent, and the 20% that try are bound by policies that make no sense. I have been a straight A student for most of my educational career and I have never learned so little while getting straight As and doing 35-50hrs of work on classes a week. BUSY WORK BUSY WORK BUSY WORK. Its like their whole plan is to get you to do work so they can say you did, even though it has no value. Save yourself the frustration and waste of time. Go somewhere else. Its all online anyhow currently. read more

Never seen a college more disorganized than this one. I have spent 10+ hours just recovering my account and applying to get into this college. Being put on hold and not getting answers and their support is out of state. There's system keeps going down. Literally the worst experience. This place won't be in business much longer. I absolutely hate the drive over to the West Campus twice a week. It's 65 miles round trip from where I am on the Southeast side of town. The class I'm taking could very easily be taught online, but is a whole issue in and of itself. We've had two different classrooms, used the computer lab a couple of times, and I've had to use the testing center as well. It shouldn't be a big deal except that I actually had trouble finding the first classroom the first day, the computer lab both times, and almost decided to take a "0" when I couldn't find the testing center (eventually I did, but it took awhile). This campus is just laid out weird to me. Also, I've taken other courses here a few years ago. I didn't much care for it then either. I prefer the East campus or Northwest to this one. read more

This is a pretty good campus of Pima Community College, its one of the bigger ones and is pretty clean and welcoming. I've been here for 3 semesters now and I do enjoy it, I mean I know it's a big far west for me and it takes me about 30 mins to get there and most roads there always have crazy rush hour traffic, it's worth it. It's a good feel for a school to go to until I get my transfer credits to transfer to the U of A. The staff here are nice and helpful and the professors here, I've had nothing but good ratings on them. I recommend this campus to a friend. read more

Big campus and easy to get lost. If you have class here show up early for your first class so you can take a walk around. Advisors are no help and it takes forever to see them and all they tell you is to look online. Hard to find parking at this campus. Another reason to get there early. read more

The best thing about the Pima Community Colleges (other then the cheap tuition) is the tutoring center. At the U of A your tuition covers the Think Tank, a crowded, noisy, always busy tutoring center that you have to make an appointment for. Even then they might not have a tutor for your subject. At Pima CC, you check in and flip a sign when you need help. The sign designates what you need help in. And there is always at least one tutor in every field. They are always helpful and will assist in anything from homework to test studying. read more

I love this campus. Although it can feel a bit counterintuitive at times (easy to get confused if you pop out of a building on the North end or South end of campus), once you get the hang of it, it's really quite convenient. Everything is clustered pretty close together so its easy to get around, and its got a nice scenic view of Tucson. I can't say enough wonderful things about College-West. I took all my core classes at Desert Vista Campus and I just loved it there, a nice small friendly campus. Moving from a small campus like DV to West Campus was a little disorienting but that campus is BEAUTIFUl! There is an outside deck with a nice view where one can study and the landscaping is lovely. West may be much larger than DV but it still has a nice safe feel to it. The parking is great, there are tutors and you have access to Lynda.com if you need more help learning a computer program or want to learn something on your own. The staff is helpful and supportive and I have yet to meet a jerk. I am sure it will happen sometime. There is always a jerk somewhere just waiting to pop up and try to ruin your day but so far everyone I have met is wonderful including everyone in DSR. The last thin I have to say is if you are interested in digital arts West Campus is THE place to go if you want to learn the business. The instructors there not only now the software they know the business because they have been there and done that. You will Love it. I know I do. read more

If you're interested in arts or humanities this campus is the way to go. I am currently taking dance and their studio is big. I also had good luck with philosophy and writing teachers here. Teachers are friendly (some) and the campus is pretty big! read more

Pima Community College makes it entirely difficult to transfer into their school. Transferring from out of state is an even bigger joke. There is no support for transfer students whatsoever. I kind of just had to guess what classes I should be taking because there was no one there to help me.Also, it should not take an entire month after attending classes for my financial aid to be disbursed. I did not have the money to put a deposit on my classes, even though I had financial aid pending. Buying the necessary books is another story on it's own. An adviser even suggested to me that I wait to attend during the summer when I had the money. Seriously, run from this school as fast as you can because it is one big joke. read more

I am so dissappointed. I was suppose to receive a Scholarship for my summer class. I was NEVER notified that I did not receive the scholarship. I found this out the following semester. Most people get dropped if they do not pay the class by the deadline. Which is complete and total bullcrap. I called corporate office and they said Oh sorry there wasnt enough money to pay it. Uhhh could I have gotten an email or call or a heads up. I would have NEVER taken the class if it wasnt going to be paid for. I do NOT have a job and I do NOT live nor am I maintained by my parents. I am soooo upset about this. I dont advise you to apply for the scholarships cause they dont even tell you, that you did not receive it. Most of the time, In my experience if your class isnt paid by a certain date then your class is dropped. My class wasnt dropped.... read more
