Shane Murray is a horrible trainer who enabled a trainer under his wing named Kait rezner to…read morerepeatedly neglect, abuse and ultimately kill multiple dogs, the reason I'm speaking out is because we booked Shane to help our small rescue Belgian Malinois named foxy deal with her fear aggression and reactivity and ultimately a board a train not long after 3-4 "private" sessions, he handed us off to his assistant the aforementioned "Kate rezner" who was to watch our dog while me and my girlfriend went to Brazil for my birthday, we dropped off our dog and Kate LOST FOXY IN 30min!!!!! We spent the next 3 days running around San Bernardino county in the hottest part of the summer trying to find my poor girl, we by some luck were able to find her behind a trashcan of a family who saw her and contacted us and we came and grabbed her only to find out she had been hit by a car!!!!! We immediately took her to a vet and luckily she recovered, but extremely traumatized and regressed even worse than before we started training, after the incident Shane told us ver batum multiple times "KATE IS DONE!!!" His words not mine, but that was a lie, Shane helped us find foxy, he also put up the reward on the flyer that the family called us from, and also reimbursed us for the board and train, vet bills and our lost vacation charges, but it doesn't discount that my dog almost died, he lied about never working with "Kait rezner" again and when all was said and done and it seemed like we weren't going to sue him, he never reached out or checked up on foxy again. Before this he was saying he would send us flowers to say sorry. Never received that after he found out we wouldn't be suing. Our dog, who was a nervous rescue to begin with, still hasn't recovered and is more fearful of people than ever. Shane has continued to use and recommend this trainer kait rezner afterwards, and she has killed 2 dogs in her care just this month. There was a third death prior to Foxy boarding with Kait, along with another incident where Kait's roommate found a dog hanging by a slip lead in an outdoor run that she had left him in unattended. Thankfully the roommate was able to save the dog. Shane still passed off our dog to her after these two incidents. Shane has shown complete disregard for animals in the effort of making money and protecting his "BRAND" I strongly advise you to not work with him and definitely not with his trainer kait rezner attached is a picture of other testimony of others experiences with both of them. Dogs often return from boarding malnourished, hurt, and need to be taken to a vet. Kait, who was working under him, according to Kait's roommate and neighbors, was keeping his board and trains in outside runs all day in the hot sun, tethered to a fence. If Shane had subcontracted her work why wasn't he checking on her home facility? Shane claims there were a lot of instances in which Kait booked boardings behind his back after communicating through his business channels. What kind of trainer doesn't follow leads from start to finish on a dog who is a client of theirs? If you care about the safety of your dogs do not trust likes or followers. Look at the condition that the dogs return in. Not to mention, he offered to watch our dog for our make-up vacation that we bought tickets for after he confirmed. A couple months later he bailed out of it, saying that he was too traumatized. We ended up losing the money for those tickets. I wouldn't trust anything that this trainer says.

I've been in the dog training industry for 10+ years and I still took good nuggets from him that I'm excited to implement into my own services. Shane is incredibly humble, patient, and hard working. He is not just a good dog trainer, he is a great teacher as well. The metaphors that he uses are extremely helpful as well as easy for the average pet owner to understand. He made it clear that he isn't in this industry for the money, he genuinely wants to help dogs and keep them out of shelters. This was unlike any other seminar I attended. He makes everyone feel welcome & heard. Shane is also very transparent about his training journey, it was a breath of fresh air.
