One Friday night, we drove by and we decided that was the night to try it out. We were so glad that we did because it was tons of fun. You're so shocked when you go in there just how many pinball machines they have. Not only that but they have machines from the early 20th century and every decade until close to the present. It was near to see the earliest games and how games have evolved over time. It was also nice to see some old favorites and games fashioned after old tv shows and movies. We had a great time playing all the games and meeting other people who like going there and playing. We told friends so we can hopefully all go back there together. read more

Wow, this place is staked full of pinball machines and has a small collection of arcade games. I like pinball, but enjoy arcade games much more, so this was a slight let down, but opened my eyes to the beauty of what pinball is all about. I have played pinball many times, but never heavily. I was forced to explore the pinball games more and got a great experience. I learned that pinball is about launching that ball out there to see how the machine will interact with the ball. Instead of just trying to get the highest score, just see what the game will do and try to get your ball up those ramps and hit off those bumpers. Some have extra levels with another set of flippers that make playing more interesting. I got better at playing multi-ball which is a tricky skill to master. The only downside is that you will find many games that do not work, or are shut down with no sign to indicate the games status. It kind of gets frustrating going from game to game to see which one actually works. Also, it was freezing in there today and my hands got numb from being in there for a long stretch. If you go downstairs they have the really ancient games. Most of them do not work, but it is fun to see what kind of goofy games people used to play. Sad again is a large group of arcade games they left to die and rot down there, ouch! Overall I think it is a very cool place to check out and you can spend lots of time there having fun despite the problems. Like I said there a ton of games that do not work, but this is only a small percentage of the games that do work, so the good outweighs the bad. read more

What fun! I had learned about this place via some FB post. Friends and I visited yesterday to celebrate a birthday. It is a working museum, meaning it houses over 200 pinball machines row after row, many in fully working condition which you can play. So, play we did! You pay by the hour per person so we paid 12.00 per person for an hour of fun play. read more

I've visited pinball museums and bars in many places, Seattle, Denver, the Bay Area, etc., so I had to make the trek to Pinball Perfection outside of Pittsburgh. Legendary for the 300+ machines inside, this place has the most playable vintage games that I've ever seen. Housed in a two-level warehouse, the oldest machines are on the first floor, with the main arcade on the second floor. Pinball Perfection is affordable, just $15 for free play. You can BYOB drinks and snacks, bring coozies to hold beers. The staff was friendly, Friday nights here are fun! Our group got to play games that I've never seen anywhere else, and I've been to 1 Up, Add a Ball, Lynn's Arcade, Alameda Pinball Museum, Free Gold Watch and more. Don't let the haters scare you away from this place, the authentic ambiance is part of its charms. I want cranky weirdos curating vintage pinball machines forever. Had family in town for the holiday: kids aged 8 to 23 plus adults. About 15 of us total. Stopped by to check Pinball Perfection out to see what they had to offer.....was told "no lookarounds, $12 per person per hour"......would not even let me in for a quick 2 minute walkaround...... Wow place is great. The place is huge filled with pinball machines and arcade games. I went in looking for some nostalgia a ms paceman machine. They had one but it was a new version with an original cabinet in excellent condition but new board and screen. They retrofit the old to accommodate a ms pacman that has over several hundred games on it. including paceman asteroids galago and hundreds of others. the price was a bit high I thought. The gal who showed me around was very nice and very friendly and more than happy to help. they both sell and restore old pinball machines and arcade games. You can rent rooms for your party for $10 per person. You can come and tour the museum (re-opens March 18th). Plus you can bring in a pinball machine for repair. If you love pinball, this place is amazing! Spent 3 hours playing on modern and antique pinball games. $12.00 cash lets you play all day. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable. Their customer service and phone etiquette is awful. I had read reviews that this is a fun place to go for unlimited play on a Friday night. But when I went to their website, the front page states that they are open Friday 12-5pm with a comment about "putting the fun in your gameroom", so I called to make sure that they were indeed open in the evening as well as to check the cost (as some reviews said 10, while others stated $12 and cash only). I'm guessing the gentleman that answered was the owner, based on previous reviews about a rude person, and I experienced it first hand. I called, said "hello" and told the gentleman on the phone that I had heard about the place and was interested in stopping by with my family on Friday night. When I asked about the hours he said (in a very condescending tone) that they "have the same hours as they ALWAYS HAVE - and we've have been open FOR YEARS". he told me that the hours were there on their website if I had taken the time to look! (Seriously?! Who does that to a new customer who tells you that they were planning on bringing their family?) I wound up just hanging up on him as I don't need someone yelling at me when I'm just inquiring about your establishment to plan an outing. read more

This place is pretty awesome. Half museum, half hobby shop, all arcade. It's mostly pinball machines from the 1950s on, but there are some other standouts, including a few slot machines, air hockey, and some skiball-style bowling machines. At any giving time, it looks like a good percentage of the machines are down for repairs, but I can't complain, because there is more than enough to do here. Seek out the 1933 World's Fair pinball machine for a really neat game. $10 gets you unlimited play starting at 7pm. read more

He has an incredible collection of pinball machines. But had a terrible experience. He just had had a group come, and we could tell he really didn't want to help my pregnant wife and I come and play, after begrudgingly letting us in during regular business hours, we walked all the way upstairs to pay and he let us know it was pay per hour 'like it's always been on the internet", insinuating that we should know how it works though it was our first time there. At that point, we said no, we are going to take our business elsewhere. We walked out and then he went running after us, me and my pregnant wife, saying, 'no come back' we told him leave us alone but he kept running after us even as we drove away. We called the police and filed a report, they had to go talk to him and tell him not to run after people who wanted to leave. We recommend for your safety, STAY AWAY! Hope his incredible inventory gets sold to someone who knows how to care for customers. read more

I love pinball and with arcades being mostly extinct, it's a rare treat to find an establishment dedicated to restoring and displaying old pinball machines for you to play. That's why it pains me to tell you that you should avoid Pinball Perfection if you want a positive experience. I cannot stress enough how rude the owner was to my wife and me. When we first arrived, we found the door locked and the "open" sign off. The hours indicated they were open and a sign said to call. The sign should have indicated that there was a lower entrance and that may have solved the problem. Regardless, I called and when the owner answered he was incredibly irritated by my questions on if they were open. I asked if he would open the door. I'm not sure if he was mad because we were just players and not buyers (side note, I do own one pinball machine and would love to get a few more, but after dealing with him, I'm not sure I'd ever buy one from them). We waited and waited and no one came. Eventually, a man across the street at an auto mechanics shop told us the door downstairs around the other side should be open. So, we went down there and a woman eventually led us upstairs. The man behind the counter scolded us about not waiting longer. It was crazy to see someone treat his customers with so much disdain and disrespect. It was cold and raining outside. He should've instructed us to go to the bottom door. I paid the $10 each per hour and decided to make the most of it. They have a really great selection of machines, but about half of them were turned off. I didn't want to talk to him anymore after the way he treated us, so I don't know if they would turn on the rest. It was a mild February day (low 40s), and it felt just as cold inside the building. I'm not sure if there was any heat on at all. The other important info to note was the restroom. The toilet would not flush and there was no running water. I stood there with soap on my hands and no water to wash them. I went to get paper towels and the dispenser was empty. I had to wipe the soap off with toilet paper. Thankfully, my wife had hand sanitizer in her purse. The pinball machines were fun and $10 for an hour is pretty fair, but the customer service was awful, the building was cold, and the restroom was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

This place stinks! 75% or more of the machines are broken, the guy who runs the place is a complete tool, very unfriendly. It's like an old warehouse, smelly, dark, and it is in a bad part of town I think. Lots of seedy people around. It's hardly perfection. Not recommended. read more
