I signed my daughter up for this camp pre COVID-19. This is one of the few sleep away camps that are still open to campers during this time. However, because of COVID, they have taken extra safety precautions for campers by reduction in capacity as well as conducting temperature checks on all campers and the parents/family who drop campers off and not allowing anyone but campers and counselors into the sleeping quarters. The camp also sent our communiques to campers parents with the following verbiage:
Camper and staff health and safety is one of our top priorities. All campers must be symptom-free for 72 hours before arriving at camp. If (insert camper name here) has thrown up, had a fever, cough, or sore throat, felt nauseous or has had diarrhea in the three days before camp, she cannot come. Please call us at (877) 474‑6326 if you see these symptoms.
The process to check in and drop off campers was extremely proficient which was amazing considering all the campers who were coming to the camp.
Although this only the first day of camp for my little one, I appreciate the care and attention to detail this faith-based camp has taken. read more
